Nice work, it probably warmed you up nicely to chop these trees. Ideal job in the cold.

Canadian Tire have 21ton splitters. They are a life saver. We got ours in 2021 and has done around 20chords of wood with it. Hope inflation isn't hurting the build too much. It's dinged us with our build . But we are still moving along. Plans are to be in it for winter . Just finished screwing all the tin on the roof. And have the chimney to cut and install. Wiring is close as well.

Yes, that’s certainly something we’ll eventually get! But first SO many other things…
we definitely notice inflation, but luckily we’ll have more time again in the fall!

@@CaribooAdventure What appliances are you using? We bought Unique , used a company in Ontario. Even with shipping to Kamloops . We saved a bunch of money when compared to buying local.

@@hartiaacres thank you for the tip! We haven’t put in the order yet, but were looking at GE (and purchase with a discount), but certainly open to different ideas!

@@CaribooAdventure We bought a solar fridge and a propane range. Trying to be as non grid tied as possible. But it's hard today.

@@hartiaacres oh waw! That's great! :) Our solar in the winter is just sad (even in the most open spots), so we decided to go on the grid. But if you have the option it's amazing not to!!
