That’s one of the lessons they Simon has reinforced in me. I’m not saying I’m perfect or even good at it, but when I do remember and do it, it feels great, to serve others.
Simon you are one of the people I love listening to that just gets my mood up. I say one of since I don't know any other people who does it however it may seem too arrogant to say only you.
Four Seasons thank you for sharing this. Simon thank you for your wisdom and incredible insight. You are so inspiring, you make me want to be a better human.

Tnx for sharing the highest levels of applicable business knowledge. Tnx for running and improving industry of helping each other. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much, Four Seasons, for sharing this inspiriting video on leadership! We had always enjoyed staying at the hotel because the service was always fantastic! Keep up the great work 🎉
This is what I see in him as a leader the one who truly gives his all without sparing and I do feel it’s genuinely done such people exist but on a personal level do you do anything for yourself to feel your needs? A lot of times with givers they neglect themselves because they are always in the role of a service to others which is great but you can’t pour from an empty cup. Either you drink too much coffee ☕️ that’s where you get your energy from 😊 or you need to share with us what keeps you going or secret having the ability to share.
Loving this speech!!! One of key takeway that I learn from this particular speech is: instead of using the term soft skill and hard skill, Simon suggests that it is more like the skill you need to learn to perform your work (hard skill) and replacing the soft skill with humain skill in how to interact positivey in situation of confrontation, asking for help. Simon points out that one of the skill that is under trained is actually people learning how to ask for help. Now, people comes up with their ask with more a yes / no approach or end up quitting when needs/wishes not met. (this is right one!! will share this learning with my kids and learn how to approach things different with positivity and most importantly a conversation instead of confrontation
I'm in complete admiration of this. I recently found something with a similar message, and it was absolutely mesmerizing. "The Hidden Empire: Inside the Private Worlds of Elite CEOs" by Adam Skylight
I think what Simon is saying to help young gen to ask for things, will lead to dealing with training the young gen in the area of their character, and having great EQ etc. Not just skills or work experience.
Simon, I never liked Jack Welch or his "leadership" approach. I agree that he, and others like him, did so much damage. I single handedly tried to take that mindset on at my company. (You can imagine how that went.). My team was a microcosm of trust and excellence, while all else swirled around. In the end, I burned out. Thank you for taking this on.
I don't know about other locations, but here in Utah, bowling leagues are so prevalent that a friend of mine and I were forced to postpone a bowling activity 3 times, then we just gave up. There were no lanes available for non-leagues.
This was great. I’m in health care and our workforce is struggling. I was listening with an ear for that… thank you, Simon what else should I listen to of yours or others?
How can we be good leaders when we are in a fearful, stressful moment? It's when I find it more difficult to care about people and not performance. I kind of have to force my better self.
lots of people with student loan debt have been working multiple jobs for a long time now. the only difference now is the flexibility with which they can do it as since they aren't working in offices. simon mentions the employer or workplace has to be everything for employees - and i just don't agree. staff don't want their employers to be everything. people want meaningful work, in a non-toxic environment/culture, and wages/salaries that maintain a typical standard of living. what we're experiencing is a younger generation of citizens and workers who aren't afraid to make demands. and i'm proud of them. i think i can learn a thing or two from younger generations.
At around 27 min mark, Simon talks about millenials lacking skills about negotiating, having tough conversations etc. but most of the problem is the absence of these skills in management. The youngsters are just the latest entrants into the game. It's on organisations to own leading by example and they can't do that with the current paucity in human skills among leaders and managers. Can you imagine the frail egos in those senior roles, being eclipsed by their underlings in interaction, negotiation and confrontation? Too many current hierarchies foster that regimented view of rank over all else, especially in public service organisations. How do you reach those groups and get them to accept the changes that are needed both personally and professionally? Do you set a test that assesses fitness to lead? Use those results on CVs? Weed out all the BS artists from the old boys networks? That's where the changes need to happen. That's a very long game/fight.
How can leaders train younger generations with human skills when we too are still learning to be better humans? It's one the most difficult thing because it's a learning process which seems to be a journey. 🤔
Ive always thought there was something so snakish about this guy. I can't put my finger on it though. Always be cautious about a man who portrays himself to be hyper virtuous and all caring.
Simon says that young people put unattainable expectations on companies with things like therapy. Is this really true? I see companies setting up programs to provide therapy and basically training young employees to look to the company for the support. If the support program wasn't there, the employees would look elsewhere. It's a retaining tool more than anything now.
Soooo, what should “ this generation” do when you have that discussion about a raise and ask for steps to take to earn said raise and it’s ignored and yet they keep promising you it’s just around the corner.
The problem discussed about young ppl but not specifically, isn't they don't know how to do requests smoothly. It's about the contradiction of effort & rewards nowadays. Ppl in the old days believe in luck / destiny cuz it's hard to judge when information flows is more restricted. Examples / evidence spread so easily & quickly thanks to the Internet today. Ppl realize so many "lucks" aren't actually luck but some monkey businesses. Personal abilities, ethics and responsibility mean nothing in front of money. Modern marketing is so abused covered under the freedom & rights. It's no turning back cuz there are 2+ generations who are currently the major workforces suffering from it. Ppl need hope to survive in an infinite game but the hopelessness they are feeling now they know isn't natural by chance. Unless something even worse wipes-off everything and restart the system. Even God has revamped the world.
Crazy to start the video with Simon dark side! Paranoia and his love for the mask! I know nobody is perfect!! Please Simon study a bit on the inmense power of your inmune system! And break free from western schizophrenia!! Cheers
I Googled "International Leadership Conference in Athens, Greece, 2022" and could not find this conference. Does anyone have the link? I would like to evaluate for 2024. Thanks in advance!
There appears to be entanglement of management and other philosophies, not necessary leadership. He says so many things that are not true or true in a microcosm. The young people have come up in different times, but they have the same needs as their parents; they a re human. People are burned out because empathy has been talked about without understanding the latent variables, talked about as the latest skill.
I wish the host was more engaged. He seemed dismissive and sarcastic. It made Simon look uncomfortable. His energy was dry. Do better sir. Great message Simon
Simon is a superb speaker and I truly love most of his messages. So much so I try to employ them through my day. However I struggle to not put weight on his mask perspective. How can someone be motivated and intelligent enough to deliver superb advice also be so gullible? Anyone with a few minutes can understand masks have zero value for airborne viruses and it is known works wide. Has been since forever. Yet when the message is changed to fit narratives the smartest of society either ignore it or allow it to mold them. Or is Simon catering to the audience which makes his intentions flawed
Very enlightening video, There’s this woman I got in touch with during the 2020 lockdown which cost me my job. Ms. Norman Davis helped me manage my assets by introducing my to the best trading platform and strategies, I earned a lot of $$$ working with Norman at the comfort of my home. I still keep in touch with the amazing lady
Hi there, I’m commenting from Switzerland . Interesting to know she connects with people from different parts of the world. Such an ambitious woman. I got in touch with Ms. Davis early this year. As a newbie in the market, I had little knowledge on predicting the stock market, but with Ms. Norman weekly analysis and advise profits are guaranteed! I received three times my initial deposit in a week!!
Not a lot of people are aware of this new market, only a handful know how it works, I was fortunate to reach out to Ms. Davis the beginning of last year, she put me through the basics as a mentor would do, I learnt and earned massively from trading at the comfort of my home.
I want to be financially free , I currently work 2 9-5 jobs and I’m struggling to pay bills along with my moms medical bills. I heard about forex a little while ago and was really interested and wanted to get into for the longest but I never had someone who could help. Can I get her contact? I need her assistance
Notice that Simon pours water for the host first, then to himself. This man lives what he says. Thank you, Simon, you are an inspiration for us all.
great observation!
Its cause the other guy is drunk af
WOW
..wait he poured a drink for the host first?! Profound……….
I noticed that he does the same thing in many other videos as well.
To fill the glass of him first and then filling the glass of himself, the gesture that validates, Simon walks the talk.
That’s one of the lessons they Simon has reinforced in me. I’m not saying I’m perfect or even good at it, but when I do remember and do it, it feels great, to serve others.

Love watching Simon speaking so casually on leadership and purpose.
I love all the underlying messages in-between the lines of discussion. They're golden
im amazed he poured the cup for someone else 1st. WOW. and I really like that gesture

Totally agree! They are not afraid to quit. If they don't like something, quit. Unbelievable.
Amazing! So many examples that companies and employees can follow. Thanks for sharing! As a single professional mom this is enlightening!

Dear Simon,
Thank you for reminding about war in Ukraine, it is very much important to us here. (Even a small, episodical phrase).
I probably don't agree with many, if any of his policies, but I really do love Dr. West.
Minute 11 sounds like Florentino Perez👍 when time are good we do what’s necessary to make it in years to come
Excellent conversation ❤
I like how you are always trying to help others . Encouraging!. This is inspiring to watch. Keep up the good work..
