Project Binky was always there, a constant in my life, and for that I am very grateful. When someday the opportunity of seeing this car in person comes up, I will travel to the UK. Love you guys.
It's oddly comforting to see Nick wrestle with the fuel tank and remind us all that he is indeed human. Of course the HVAC install makes me think maybe he's not.
Such a satisfying episode when everything comes together. I can't remember that I've ever been so sad that an episode ended, I want to see more, can't get enough, and now I know it will be months before another part comes out

That Dynamat badge though, blends in perfectly, I laughed hard at that! But I held my breath, and winced a few times too when the tank went in. Amazing attention to detail and craftsmanship, plus awesome planning makes Binky totally unmissable. Enjoy the rest of your birthday Richard!
And the award for Best Montage of Cutting Sheets of Dynamat to Fit Inside An Old Mini, for the year 2021, goes to.... Binky! Love every little bit about this project, and I can scarcely believe it'll be done before we set foot on Mars!

I'm so pleased that I've only recently come across this channel. I'm afraid that if I'd found it, 7 YEARS AGO, by now I would have had to get a shotgun and blow my own brains out waiting for them to finish it. It's magnificent and the attention to detail is second to none. I have some understanding of how long these things take; not so long ago I rebuilt a yacht (an ambitious 3 month plan that turned into 6 months and ended up almost full time 18 months later) and I'm currently rebuilding two motorcycles. It's quite astounding how long some of the tiniest jobs can take to get the result you want. Very much looking forward to seeing all the bits bolted back together in (hopefully) the very near future. Well, "near", as in Binky standards.

Today is my 25th birthday. I since worked five different jobs, moved to four different cities and had a lot of stuff going on. Project Binky was always there, a constant in my life, and for that I am very grateful.
When someday the opportunity of seeing this car in person comes up, I will travel to the UK.
Love you guys.
I thoroughly enjoyed Nick using every cutting tool in the shop to cut that Dynamat. BOM perfection.
We are like family members who dont see each other very often. Twice a year tops but man what a meetup it is.
Want to see it finished but don't want it to end. Fantastic job lads as always Rob
I want to see it finish so I can see what they do with that pile of MG bits, the marketing fluff said 1000hp, Rover never did it, but....
Total respect for the quality and detailed work performed. I didn't see the hint for any improvements. A+
It's oddly comforting to see Nick wrestle with the fuel tank and remind us all that he is indeed human. Of course the HVAC install makes me think maybe he's not.
The HVAC really shows the level of engineering skill these guys have..beautifully done
Such a satisfying episode when everything comes together. I can't remember that I've ever been so sad that an episode ended, I want to see more, can't get enough, and now I know it will be months before another part comes out
I've been watching the reruns between episodes. Just like Fools and Horses, they're just as good as the first time.
Dear Nik and Richard - I wish I was in your garage helping work this project - I have watched many other car restoration project but never seen the work done to perfection with such passion -I have watched every episode and who ever finally end up having this mini is very lucky. Well done and thank you!
Good thing you dropped a new episode on Anzac Day, Lest we Forget what Binky looks like.
Best ANZAC day ever, IMO
"Full Tavarish spec" is a thing, indeed. Nice job as always, gents. Especially appreciated the obvious "there's your grommets, now SHUT UP" shots.
Obviously they know many of us do indeed fret over grommets!
Those who were fretting over grommets in the dry build have since grown up.
I think this has to be one of the best quality builds in the world. It's just beautiful. We'll done guys.
First-time viewer: "They've been working on this car for HOW LONG?"
The same viewer at the end of the episode: "Dear god the attention to detail, this should have taken even longer than it has."
They started sometime in spring 2013! And released a video every 4-6 months basically. They picked up the pace when they opened a Patreon page to fully commit to the project. Output has been faster since in the last three years. seriously EVERYTHING is over engineered on this build. It’s insane.
I came in a bit late about 5 years ago...
I absolutely love the increasingly more complicated and ineffective methods of cutting the sound deadening as the montage went on
"Overkill is my second favorite kind of kill"
🤣🍻
The level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, forethought, ability to adapt to unforseen circumstances, and levity, are all just incredible.
This is easily one of my favorite channels on youtube.
One of ??????????????
I love these guys and their magnificent content .
I am only in my 50s but I am wondering if I will be around when Project Binky is eventually completed .
I'm just impatient it will be the best Mini on the planet .
I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into filming all your work for us at home. Unbelievable how two blokes in a shed with some tea bags can make something like this. Mega
Fun fact: The adoption of large scale tea drinking in England was what enabled the Industrial Revolution to begin. No joke ... look it up.
Some tea bags, an angle grinder, and alot of brackets.
Friends: Any plans for Saturday night?
Me: No, I need to watch 30 mins of dynamatting, thanks.
😂😂😂
SoupFork I'm glad they thought to put the sticker on as how would we know the product brand?
I've watched it three times already, just this evening, and tomorrow is a new day. I never get tired of the ingenuity, precision and skill that's gone into this build, not to mention the first-person narration and voice-over.
I read that as Dynamiting......... and then realised I probably had watched half an hour or more of that on RUclips on a Saturday night before.............down the Rabbit hole we go again..........
Watched an episode at a mates bucks party once :D
I have just binge-watched every episode and I’m totally hooked! This has got to be the very best engineering project I’ve ever seen. The production of the episodes and the humour is second to none. 10/10 gentlemen.
I'm always amazed at how thorough your planning *and* execution is. It's a real joy to watch.
The gods have blessed us with another episode of Binky
I found this series a couple of weeks ago, and have now binged 'em all. I don't know what it's like to wait between episodes. Please, somebody hold my hand
We all just live for the next episode, between them is just emptiness😢
That Dynamat badge though, blends in perfectly, I laughed hard at that! But I held my breath, and winced a few times too when the tank went in.
Amazing attention to detail and craftsmanship, plus awesome planning makes Binky totally unmissable. Enjoy the rest of your birthday Richard!
There's enough time between each episode for me to forget how insane all this is. I love it. It rubs my soul like a glove made of little bunnies.
Can't believe I've been watching this project for past 7 years!! Shocking how quick time flys
I lost it at the Dynamat sticker. Pure GOLD guys!
Best thing on RUclips, hands down!
This an No White Guilt's channel are the only reason I'm still using this horrible website.
And the award for Best Montage of Cutting Sheets of Dynamat to Fit Inside An Old Mini, for the year 2021, goes to.... Binky!
Love every little bit about this project, and I can scarcely believe it'll be done before we set foot on Mars!
Watching, enjoying the happiness of admiring excellent craftsmanship and then all of a sudden: "This concludes it for this time..." - You instantly plan to rewatch it tomorrow morning...
Literally most anticipated build video on RUclips history and next episode lol
As a former mechanic myself am thrilled this channel came up in the sidebar. Frankenstein-fabber porn w/ dry humor garnish is a tonic 🛠
I can't wait to see the next episode of the Escargot - Surely it won't be long now.
geez i forgot about that one, its been that long...hahaha
I love them using every damn cutting device to cut the Dynamat. I was waiting for them to use the lathe and mill. Great episode as always!
Acoustic carpet is identical in every way and great for that sort of thing. Great work guys as always👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
that "In Colour" just hits differently now that Binky's been painted!
Ok, the heater core assembly part had me nursing a semi! that was just excellent
