      Didn't that Ducati get beaten by a 4 door saloon though ? The physics will always mean a standard production top EV car will beat a standard top bike in a straight race, but the fun thing about bikes is the corners and how they go around them.

      @@zakelwe bike had wheelies but it was neck and neck with lucid Sapphire a 0.2 sec difference isn't much in 402 meters race or 1/4 Mile. They did not do any rolling races or 1/2 Mile drag race Ducati V4SP2 would have Destroyed the lucid sapphire so easily
      And Chiron SuperSport did beat Ducati V4SP2 in drag and rolling races
      But from 50-150 mph V4SP2 managed to stay ahead of the Fastest Bugatti the Chiron SuperSport the 304.77 mph record holder 490 km/h Fastest car by any car manufacturers
      That Ducati V4SP2 only has 210 HP 192 KG
      Completely different story with 240 HP Ducati V4R which weights only 165 kg
      Or the 234 HP 155 KG Ducati Superleggera V4 it's much much quicker it even beat H2R in 50-170 mph rolling races

      @@Smzxe The problem is that the EV car world is just getting started.
      The Rimac Nevera R is the latest kid on the block and does 0-186mph ( 300km/h) in less than 9 seconds. Quarter mile in way less than 9 seconds. No bike is going to touch that in rolling races whatever the speed. I'm a bike lover and bikes are better than cars just to having fun and corners. But never argue about cars and times, from quarter mile to the IOM, as they will be quicker.

      I'm little shocked McLaren 720s Gapped YAMAHA R1M in 4/5 races all drag and rolling races
      This suggests 720s is maybe faster than Ferrari SF90 in rolling race or maybe similar
      720s is definitely much faster than Revuelto 296 GTB LaFerrari 918 765LT in drag race and rolling races that's pretty sure now
      Dragtimes got angry when I said 720s was faster than Revuelto from Roll Race
      Now it proved why

      @Smzxe 7 дней назад

      @jozefjozefczyk3936 Sam The professional racing driver drove the SF90 so he did his best Yamaha R1 is clearly quicker bro they did 8 races.....
      And sorry R1M had good rider they did 4 rolling races result showed the 720s won fair and square even the bike rider accepted it it literally proves McLaren 720s might beat SF90 in rolling race or they will be similar and top end you know which car is faster
      McLaren 720s will definitely gap the Revuelto 296 GTB or LaFerrari 720s already Gapped 918 on rolling races 918 walks LaFerrari in rolling races
      In 720s vs R1M the bike got slightly ahead at 110 mph but they were neck and neck in rolling races
      And 720s flypast Yamaha R1M after 110 mph
      720s was clearly ahead at 140 150 160 mph
      And after 170 mph it was just walking away
      McLaren 720s was just faster
      720s is most aerodynamic car out of all those vehicles it just keeps pulling everytime

      In this environment, they were good enough to threaten lockup.
      That's not to say you get max braking performance from brakes that can lock up a tire, but in optimal dry conditions, good warm asphalt pavement, proper rubber and air pressures, the R1/M brakes are a good way off from a Ducati, BMW, or Aprilia that's for sure. Improved brakes and conditions, I bet that bike would be a mere 2 or 3 bike lengths ahead of the cars at stop. These cars have phenomenal braking systems these days, carbon ceramic and massive 6-pot calipers, not to mention fat tire patch. Yes, lots of weight to stop, but it's all very low and not pitching the rear wheels off the ground.

    The straight-line braking as a measure of safety doesn't really make sense for motorbikes. On a bike, safety is avoiding all the crazy car people at all costs - sometimes slower and sometimes faster and frequently shifting to another lane or the shoulder to get out of the line of traffic about to smash you between vehicles in an emergency stop. Just trying to stop and hope the cage protects you only makes sense in the cage.

    SOMETHING NO ONE HAS DONE... REVERSE GEAR ACCELERATION ! REVERSE TECHNICALLY SHOULD BE FASTER THAN FIRST, SO OVER A GIVEN DISTANCE WHICH CAR IS FASTEST IN REVERSE? NO J turns required but hey if you want to do a safe escape segment per security forces training.. reverse turn first to cover say 1/4 mile ..... 😂. Waits patiently!!!

    Bike is limited 15 peak horsepower from factory. Something about Euro emissions....
    Braking equivalent? Not really. R1M has great breaks, but it's not the sort of MotoGP inspired stopping power that the F1 inspired brakes are on the Porsche and Ferrari. But with the high CG of the bike and the tendency to see-saw under heavy throttle or braking, it did quite well on that greasy cold concrete.

    • @mikemoore-hehim1149
      @mikemoore-hehim1149 7 дней назад

      for sure - and straight-line braking totally misses the point of safety for a bike. On a bike, safety is avoiding all the crazy car people at all costs. Trying to stop and hope the cage protects you only makes sense in the cage

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 7 дней назад

      @@mikemoore-hehim1149 Brakes are the least talented part of motorcyclists' repertoire of skills, usually. No one I've ever known practices how to use them effectively or understands their high limits, they just hope they are there when they need them. They are far more familiar with throttle capability.
      Thing about bikes that is very unlike cars, our visibility from the saddle is far greater than your cave-like auto, and being 1/3 the width, we have plenty of lane to work with, plenty of escape options. It's not 1:1 with cars as so many auto drivers imagine (as they have no means to understand otherwise).
