  • At East Fork Christmas tree farm we love providing fresh cut Christmas trees to our customers. It is a joy to do so. Lately I have heard of many people switching to fake Christmas trees claiming it is better for the environment. Nothing could be further from the truth. Christmas trees are not cut from the forest, thus depleting forest land. They are an agricultural crop that is replanted as soon as one is cut. Similar to how you would harvest corn, broccoli, tomatoes etc. The trees in this video are used to rebuild sand dunes. Trees in my community are chipped and used for mulch in gardens. ‪@FlanaganHomestead‬

Love your vids. Just starting up in Upstate NY A vid of the business aspect and dealing with town zoning would be great for others. Granted States and Towns vary on their laws. But important to seek out before you put trees in the ground. With your years of experience, I would love see how you set things up on the business end. Thanks again for all your videos, the information has been very valuable.

The real problem is the pervasive ignorance among the general public about farming as a whole. So many people are completely removed from the processes involved in producing the products they use every day that it's no wonder you get such stupid criticisms of your livelihood.
