True about European and Russian schools. Another similaritie is that after graduating from European/Russian school a student has a decent knowledge of math, history, geography etc. After graduating from US school has a difficulty to show where Canada is.
The toilets in my Kindergarten, Elementary school, middle school, high school and university Never had toilet paper! never! not a single day! sometimes not even hand soap.... so you had to bring your own toilet paper or else, you should clean your ass with your socks or your underwear and of course put it in the trash after... or you could use some notebook sheets as toilet paper and hurt your butthole..... ahhh the memories!
That's ridiculous! We had problems with toilet paper too, even though the school I went wasn't a free school. They were raising the price of each quarter and treating us that they will stop buying the toilet paper.
Same in Romania.I believe we were given toilet paper and soap in kindergarten, but NEVER in school. We used to bring wet wipes and tissues with us.In my high school, there weren't even bathrooms. There were just...holes in the ground.
Omg russian schools are SO like chinese schools The absence of lockers, learning a ton of subjects and those unholy recess times, like how do they expect us to wait in line and finish our food in such a short time? Ps your videos are lovely, I guess it is safe to say that you are my number one favourite youtuber
Gemini Fells. My brother teaches English in China, and he talks about the american education system, they said "They would kill for that type of learning"
Iakov Vodka I'm not from china, but i study in a chinese school If i went to a government funded school, the education system would be very much different, quite like British schools, actually.
The toilets at my elementary school in Russia (come to think of it, in kindergarten, too) did not have stalls. Like, when you enter the bathroom, it was just like, two or three open toilets wtf. Also, I believe they were co-ed.
Liked you video. Russian schools sound kinda hard. I'm from Texas. not sure I would have been able to survive but hey, very educational video. you go girl! loved your video found it interesting. and I think you are a cool girl. keep up the great videos. hope to see one again soon. your country does fascinate me though. I am hoping to one day travel there and learn some things and have some fun
in slovakia we have it even harder because in slovakia school starts at 7:45 in the morning and ends at 14:15 and if you live too far away from town you have to wake up (like I do) in 5:15 at the morning
plz make more of these. I'm from a small community we only had 43 ppl in my graduating class, which I like because everyone was friends and grew up together. The main difference is instead of lots of small classes we had three or four 2hrs each subjects (cant remember it was almost 20yrs ago) . and had an hour and half lunch, which I normally either spent in the computer lab playing games or our library. stay awesome mi lady 🐼❤❤
In Hong Kong, Elementary School is Year 1-6, High school/College (only for schools which are prestigious) is Year 7-12. Lesson starts from 8-4 (yes, even for little 5 year-olds, so don't complain your school day is long), 3 breaks including lunch. Lessons are 35 mins/lesson for elementary, 55 mins/lesson for high school. A lot of school have small box-sized lockers, but we aren't allowed to put clothes or shoes in. Sometimes lockers are in the classrooms and we have to clean our lockers weekly. Class size ranges from 30-40, some can be 45. We don't have photography/foreign language/dance/drama, we only have the basic subject sets. We don't have separate subjects called Algebra/Geometry/Trigonometry because Maths is Maths. XD High school canteen doesn't usually cook lunch so we have to dine out. But sometimes teachers can strip lunch hour just to finish teaching and we only have 30 mins to dine out.
I honestly don't think that in my school the school day was long. However, I guess now everyone has to start at 8 instead of 9 and classes supposed to be 45 minutes. But it depends on the school.
im from Croatia and the first 4 years we had one teacher and middle school is classes 5-8 and we have different teachers for every subject. its in the same building. highschool however u can pick a school u want, but u need to have good enough grades to get into a certain highschool. here highschool classes are 1-4 so its not like 9-12. and we have a,b,c,d classes too. college is an option here but if u go to a gymnasium u need to go to college cause otherwise u wont have a good job. and we don't have school busses :/
Haha here in Germany we have school till 4pm +homework and diffrent ckasses some people go to extra classes after school but luckly we don't have school on satturday Greeting from an Polish/Italian girl that lives in Germany 🖐👍 We have elementary school from 1-4 middle school from 1-10 and highschool from 11-13
have u seen russian schools before? it's fucking horrible, i hate this country, i prefer studying at school from 8am to 6pm in France instead of studyng here
Oh my god! You get 10 minute breaks between classes? And finish at 2! I wish my school was like that XD I'm Australian. Here we only have 2 parts of school: primary school which is grade 1 to 6 and high school which is grade 7 to 12. Most schools here aren't one building, they're multiple small buildings scattered around the place. There are 'blocks' which are buildings with about 10 classrooms in them, usually each block is for one subject like English or maths or something. We get 5 minutes between classes to get to tge next building and wait outside in 2 lines until the teacher gets there. Our classes last an hour. We get 2 lunch breaks that last 30 minutes each and we sit outside because the schools want to encourage physical activity. We start school at 9am and finish at 3pm. School busses are a thing, but they aren't as common. A lot of students walk, ride bikes or catch a public bus.
In Romania we have 12 grades😢 grades 1-4 are just with a teacher and we remain in the same classroom but at english, religion and PE we have different teachers. Than grades 5-8 with different teachers at every class but we remain in the same classroom for 4 years. Than comes high school: grades 9-12 were are the same conditions like in grades 5-8. We have the same school till 9th grade then we change the school. (We have middle school: grades 1-8 and high school 9-12). We don’t have lockrooms and we don’t have school buses. After high school comes faculty.
In Poland it is quite the same. Now, our elementary school (you have to go there since you are 6/7) is divided into two levels of learning (something like that, idk how to name this). At level 1 (grades 1-3) we have the same teacher for any lesson (besides PE and Music). At Level 2 (grades 4-8, 7-8 are since last year, education reform) we have different teachers for each lesson, we also learn Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics (before education reform it was only grades 4-6 and we had Nature), English (in grades 1-3 too), another language, Polish, Math, Art, Music, PE etc. High School (since last year grades 1-4) is often profiles (Math-Physics, Humanistic, Math-Geography, Artistic, Musical etc.) but we can’t choose our lessons. And basically we don’t know how to “be adult” (pay taxes, how to find a job etc.).
Yes, and there you can earn depression, low self-esteem and constantly think about suicide while working on homework, which Russian students do from 16: 00 (when they come home from school) at best until 23: 00 or 3: 00 (then still get up at 6: 30 in the morning). Oh Yes! These are the best schools!))
Hi are you from Wonderland khmhm America? If so, you are very lucky. Russian schools are a real hard labor, a slave colony. If you want to earn self-esteem -8 (like mine, I took a test with a psychologist), then you can start studying at a Russian school.
Same thing here in Slovenia, except for the school shoes and being in the same school for 11 years. Elementary is grades 1-9, which is mandatory, and secondary is 10-13/14, depending on what kind of school you pick - professional schools take 3-4 years depending on what kind of job you want to do after you graduate. You pick a field and then have subjects related to that field along with math, P.E., native language and foreign languages. Once you’re done you can go to college, but you can only pick a college that focuses on the field you studied in highschool. You can also go to a gymnasium, which takes 4 years to finish, and can study whatever you like after you’re done with that. You can also go to a professional school first and then take a 1-year course to graduate from a gymnasium in case you don’t want to be limited to the field you picked in highschool, so you actually have 2 highschool diplomas. If you go to a gymnasium you also HAVE to go to college because you can’t get a job that requires a particular set of skills or practical knowledge with a gymnasium diploma.
the american school i go to is weird because we only have 4 classes but they switch in the middle of the year (so we have classes that are 2 hours long but 8 classes total). and we do have lockers but you have to pay for one. but the middle school i went to we were assigned lockers but instead of one really tall locker we had two short ones, stacked on top of each other. and getting a bottom locker was hell because not only did you have to crouch down to get your stuff the person above you had to like curve around you and when they opened their locker the bottom edge of the locker has a high chance of hitting you in the head and that shit hurts
Where i live, there's Preschool (optional) then 1 year of Kindergarten, then 3 years of Elementary (Grades 1-3), 5 years of Middle (Grades 4-8), 4 years of High (Grades 9-12) and Grade 13 existed until 2003. Then, after Grade 12, you can go to College or University (both are optional). In elementary, the school day has 5 periods + 30 minute lunch break, runs from 8:35AM to 1:55PM, Monday - Friday, September 5 - June 22. In Middle, it has 6 periods + 45 minute lunch break, runs an hour longer, until 2:55PM. In High, it has 7 periods + 60 minute lunch break, runs one hour even longer until 3:55PM. We do have lockers starting in Grade 4 and have separate shoes because of weather, and in some places (like where i'm at) there's so much snow that we have to put boots on. *THIS IS CANADA, FOLKS.*
It's pretty much the same in Bulgaria, except that we have seven to eight periods a day, we don't study on Saturdays and schools DO NOT HAVE CAFETERIAS. In the lunch break, you have to go outside, buy something to eat, eat it, and then come back, and all of this in just 25 minutes. It is horrible, because lines are extremely long in all fast food restaurants around the school. Also, our classes are 45, not 40 minutes. In my school the first class starts at 8:00, the seventh one ends at 14:30, and the eighth ends at 15:25. Also, we do have lockers.
Hahaha same here in Indonesia. But we’ll leave school at 3.30 p.m for high school level. Oh and also, the school started from 7 a.m for every school level. Yupp our country education system have some things in common. The teachers here are also underpaid but they have to teach us for total 24 hours a week, but for middle school and high school, we have day off on Saturday and Sunday. Elementary school is grade 1-6, middle school is grade 7-9 , high school is grade 10-12 .
Here in indonesia Elementary school (1st - 6th grade) 7:00 am to 12:45 pm Middle school (7th - 9th grade ) 7:00 am to 1:45 (6 days a week, every grade is separated into 8, example > 9a - 9h) High school (10th - 12th grade) 7:00 am - 3:30 (5 days a week, there are social and science class, here we have 10 class for every grade ex: 10 social 1-3, 10 science 1-7 )
Ok no yeah it's really sucks moreover we have to face the national final exam in 9th grade ( last year of mid school) so that in 9th grade the class starts at 5:50 am and ends at 3:30 p.m Fyi : it's also 6 day a week
It's kinda like that in Bulgaria too. Just the classes in school are like: elementary 1-4 middle 1-7 high school 8-12. We rarely have school in saturday and in the high school you may have once or twice 8 periods. One of the worst things is that school starts at 8:00 am, so don't be suprised if students are sleepy. Edit: in some schools 7:30 am
(For people who do not know!) In the U.S.A school is 6-8 hours depending on the state people live in and some schools had lockers for 1st graders (6 year Olds) and in Elementary School you get break time like recess you got 20 minutes off in at lunch time you get depending in my school it's 55 mins off in lunch because schools have to at least have one type of recess but normally in schools children will have to get recesses so they will have probably about 1 hour of the day off so really we only get teach 5 hours of the day middle school and high school we get rider time which is 5 minutes off every hour.
I live in America my school schedule Time for school : 8:30am end in 230 : 8:30 to 9:00 math 10 to 10:30 breaktime : 10:30 to 11:00 history :lunch break 11:30 to 12:00 12:00 to 12:20 breaktime : language Art 12:20 to 12:50 : elective ( my elective art, drama, Science) elective 12:50 to 2:30. That is my highschool life in America..im Asian :) we have locker to and if we have a normal schedule like no club or elective our period is . To 8 but if we have club and elective is normal up to 13 or 15 period .. if you like school you probably stay there like 4 pm
Sounds similar to school in Mexico except we have people that drop out in elementary. Elementary: 1-6, Middle: 7-9, High: 10-12. No lockers, no special buses
OMG. I'm from Argentina and school is the same as Russia. Although I find it unfair because I would like to choose my classes and have lockers, I'm not alone. I strongly believe that we have to start a student revolution in countries with that same awful system !
Trinidadian schools don't have lockers (only in the posh international schools) Lunch and breakfasts are provided by the government in public schools, but you need to sign up for it We have recess in ALL grades Lunch is about 1hr and in some schools you aren't allowed to leave the building. no separate shoes for indoors or outdoors, Uniforms are throughout all grades, even some preschools have uniforms.
I live in America and we don't have 10 minute breaks in between classes! We have 2 minutes to get to our next class. Then we only have lunch as a "break". (Plus each grade has a different lunch time. One after 3rd period, one in between 4th period, and one after 4th period. Each grade rotates every semester.)
In my country you go to "elementary school " for 9 years (Pre school optional) Highschool 3-4, depends what job Faculty (Colege) 4-6 years also depends what job. Classes last 45 min between them 5 min break. Lunck break is 15 min, no cafeterija, can leave school grounds. Smaler grades have 4-5 classes a day, higher ones 6, sometimes 5 or 7. No lockers ( you may get mussles on your back because of that) or school bus. Can't say if this is true for Faculty (college), I haven't gotten there yet.
Calculus is basic general education because you can't take any really interesting math at all until you've had a couple semesters of it. Without at least a little calc in your background you can't take group theory, number theory, linear algebra, projective geometry, topology, complex analysis, or anything like that. It's not as critical as basic high-school algebra, but it's pretty important if you're planning to go to college. Sure, it doesn't matter if you're going to drop out after high school and be a plumber, or something. That's also true, at least arguably, of the writing classes you take in high school and a lot of other basic general education.
My school here in the US has pretty much the same thing, except with the lockers.... and electives. We get twenty minute lunches with a cafeteria full of 600+ kids and only four lines. So a good bit of us pack our lunches but even then kids usually have to shovel down their food in five minutes. Then we get the normal fourth minute classes with only four minutes to get to class in a huge Highschool no breaks in between (look at those numbers for those breaks omg) though usually for stuff like biology, chemistry and physical science we end up with double periods which was kind of nice in the end. We do have transportation thankfully which helps some with kids who have an hour or two hour long bus ride back and forth xD
Very very very similar to Bulgarian schools. But middle school is from 5th to 7th grade and then you go to high school. Here not all of the schools are from 1st to 12th grade, there are some that teach from 1st to 4th grade( usually in the villages), some that teach from 1st to 7 th grade, some that teach from 8th to 12 th and some that are from 1st to 12th grade. And yes, we study 12 years. Also, getting into a good enough high school is a nightmare.
It’s almost the same in Iran! But we had 4 periods every day, 6 days a week! And we don’t have cafeterias inside! There’s a store in the school yard that you can buy food from or you bring food with you! And eat it in the yard or classroom in winters.
In norway we can choose what type of high school we want to go to. I for example went to media and communication for two years and one year with biology. The locker thing i know so jealous! i had one for the two years with media, but the last year we had to pay for a locker and that sucked. We can leave the school-area during school as long we are back when the class start again. I remember very well that I had a teacher that told me and a friend to go and sit down in a cafe and talk and have some cake, because we needed to come up with a good design on a webside and that cake would help haha
In my chinese-filipino school : -no school buses -needs school ID to enter and exit -no lockers -uniforms -20 minutes break in the morning and two 10 minutes break in the afternoon -english , math , sciences , etc. starts at 7:20am and ends at 2:50pm and then 2:50pm to 4:30pm is all chinese subjects
i live in estonia, next to russia, my country won 2 wars from russia, and we have lockers in our school, we carry our stuff with us in school, we dont put our stuff in the lockers, only shoes and clothes, the teachers get paid too much, im in 4th grade but go to the school where 5-12th graders go, and yes we have A and B classes too, we were set into A and B before we went to school, and russian schools are awesome wdym
Nice to get a break between periods, that never happened in the secondary schools I went to in the UK. The first one was full of self important teachers who would keep you in class until the end of the period and expect you to travel instantaneously from your previous class which could be in a different building on the same site.
Scottish Schools: Primary School- Primary 1 (4-5 years old) Primary 2 (5-6 years old) Primary 3 (6-7 years old) Primary 4 (7-8 years old) Primary 5 (8-9 years old) Primary 6 (9-10 years old) Primary 7 (10-11 years old) >You stay in the same class room the entire year with the same teacher for basically every subject >No certain amount of time for any subjects they would be different each day >Starts at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm >Break is at 10:00am finishes 10:20am- Lunch from 12 noon till 12:40 >We wear uniforms >All books and jotters are kept in school High School- First Year (11-12 years old) Second Year (12-13 years old) Third Year (13-14 years old) Fourth Year (14-15 years old) Fifth Year (15-16 years old) Sixth Year (16-17 years old) How My school Works: Monday- 6 Periods Tuesday-7 Periods Wednesday-6 Periods Thursday-7 Periods Friday-6 Periods Subjects You Get- English Maths Physics Biology Chemistry Home economics (Cooking) PE Design and Manufacture Graphic Communication Computing Business History RME Geography Modern Studies Art Music Drama >From First to Second Year you get all subjects >From First to Third Year you get them only once a day >From Third year On you continually drop subjects until you are left with 5 in Sixth Year >From Fourth year on you can get 2 of the same subject in a day or a back to back period >From Primary 1 until Third year you have BGE - Broad General Education >Fourth year the school decides wether you should take National 4 or National 5 >Fifth year you take Highers or you can pick up a subject you had dropped which is called a crash-higher >Sixth year you can do Advanced Highers or crash advanced Highers but these are very difficult >You can legally leave school at 16 and go to collage or get an apprenticeship or job > If you pass Highers you have a very good chance at going to University General High school Stuff: >Wear uniforms and blazers >Every period lasts 50 minutes different each day of the week >school starts at 8:55am and finishes at 3:00pm on a short day and 3:50pm on a long day >Break is at 10:45am until 11:00am-Lunch starts at 12:40 noon and ends at 1:20pm >we have lockers but don’t use them that often This is the life of a Scottish child 😂
I go to a charter school in America, and we still don’t get to choose classes. At my old public school we had no lockers at any school,my charter school is the only one I’ve seen with lockers
Polish school is actually the same. The only difference is that we have 6 grades of primary school, 3 grades of junior high school and 3 grades of high school.
Lolol, My whole family is Russian but we had to move to Germany and you know what? The school system in Germany is same as in the Russian. We have to take every single book for every single subject and drag them around 😂😥
I wouldn‘t say it‘s exactly the same but it‘s very similar. In Germany we have year 1-12 or 13. And from year 5-10 you mostly have 6 different classes but 11-13 mostly just 3 or 4 per day. And as far as I know from people from my surrounding teacher in elementary school change once.
I'm from lithuania and it's literally the same here with schools however some of the schools do have lockers which thank god for that cuz in middle school we did not have that and it was such a pain to carry all of the books with you including your sports wear for PE. Also, we have 12 grades and you can drop some of the classes in year 11 and take A levels
In Bulgaria is almost the same. Just that we start at 7:30(at least my school. My friend's school start at 8 o'clock) and sometimes (if you're lucky enough like me to have 7 classes 3 days in the week) we finish at 13:10. Just how amazing is it to stay in school from 7:30 in the morning to 13:10! Plus our middle school is grade 5-7 and our high school is grade 8-12 sooooo yea
that's like asian school i'm from Indonesia and we also had every subjects in the same class, except for PE and music as well as classrooms with sign 9a or 9b if you are grade 9.
Here in Brazil is basically the same thing, but we start classes at 7:30am and finishes at 11:50am, the thing about the shoe doesn't exist and the teachers are really nice and most of them are really young! ^^
So is it in germany: Class 1-4 is simlar to the russian school. It is called "Grundschule" in germany. After that you can go to a "Gymnasium" (Class 5-12 or 5-13) or to a "Regelschule" (Class 5-10). Normal school day: 8.00-8.45 German 5 min break 8.50-9.35 English 15 min break 9.50-10.35 History 5 min break 10.40-11.25 PE 20 min break 11.45-12.30 Biology 5 min break 12.35-13.20 Art 5 min break 13.25-14.10 French/Italien/Russian 5 mik break 14.15-15.00 Maths ~Wednesday of 7th class We have lockers but they are really small. We have the marks from 1 till 6 1~ perfect 2~ good 3~ akzeptabel 4~ sufficient / passed 5~ inadequate 6~ total bad
Exactly the same thing in Algeria! Now i know what model authorities have followed for educational system. I like ya by the way. & Thanks for your honesty.
I went to school in Mexico (Kindergarden/elementary) USA(Elementary, Middle, High, College), and Germany (College) and the US definitely has the more relaxed school system
In Serbia primary school lasts 8 years... also 1 teacher for everything at the 4 first years including sports and music class and at the rest 4 years we had a teacher for every subject also where i live we had no lockers nor we had school busses. We had to buy our food from somewhere near the school or bring from home and we leave the building when ever we want.Lunch lasts 15 minutes...Highschool is in another building it lasts 4 years everything is the same like in primary including we skipped classes and most of the time we got away with it. We could not choose our subjects and the teachers and subjects were very hard and we had always 7 classes a day. Also to 15 subjects per year. I was glad when i finnished school but University sucks more.
i am from serbia and I underestand you in serbian schools we do not have lockers and we do not have school bus so you need to go to school with a regular bus or walk and we have 8 grades in middle school and then we go to high school
We have lockers in my school in Portugal but for some reason we can't use them. They are there just to look nice and meanwhile we have to carry all our books. Someone please explain me why this happens, I want to know
Rita Vilar For the elementary's I attended (I moved a lot when I was young), the explanation was that either we weren't mature enough to use them (i.e. making them dirty) or because we didn't have a use for them. Originally, in Texas, elementary included 6th grade (which did usually have bigger textbooks) but then it was changed for 5th grade to be the highest grade. In middle school, in my case, one year the students weren't allowed to use them because of an increase in illegal items (drugs, pocket knives, etc.) being stored in the lockers.
My school in Nigeria was pretty much the same except we had our lockers in our classes, we got to choose our classes and we started school by 7am and closed by 4pm plus we had school busses
omg this is so relatable! I'm half british and half russian speaking latvian and it's honestly the exact same thing in Latvian schools...We had lockers for a few years but you had to PRE ORDER And PAY for them. And when we need them the most they just get taken away because we're 9th graders and wee need to free them for other kids. It's gotten better with the busses though but only a handful of schools have school busses and by the time my school gets one I won't be allowed to use it cuz I'm gonna be in Highschool. Also starting from this school year there are two 30 min breaks and we can finally leave the school and go to a store to get the food we want (well, as long as we're at least in 8th grade). And about the shoes..Well..it was a pain in the ass for years, but they kinda don't give a shit anymore.))
1-4 and 5-8 go like yours. All in 1 building. My highschool (9-12) also had 1-4 in in for some reason. No leaving the premises, no lunch, no choosing stuff etc. Next you can do University or a Post-Highschool thing (donno anything about it).
i am from india and our schooling is harder than this, when u have a break once after every class,we get break 5 min after every 2 classes covering 1.45 hr,and we have 7 periods {different subject}+no locker.
Tbh in American schools not many people buy lockers (unless they do sports or something like that) because we have about 2-3 minutes between class bells so no one has time to go to lockers between classes (that's how it is where I am anyways)
In my country there is different we do like this the short break 5 mins long break 10mins 1-4th class, classes 5-6 we have short break 30mins and long break 1 hour, from classes 7-8 short break 1hr and long break 1 nd 30mins and then 8-9th grade the short break is 1nd 30mins and long 2 hours and the other classes from 10-11 we have 2 nd 30mins short break and long 3hrs so u can always eat and we have lockers we can dress how we want yeah btw ly🌸
Beautifully presented. It's always fun to watch your videos. Interestingly, even in India, majority of the schools do not have a locker system. Buses, yes we do have that, but once again not in every school. But an insightful video. Cheers!
I understood in part what she says, since I do not know English well. But the facts about our school.1) In our school there are 2 shifts in grades 5-11, and 3 shifts in grades 1-4. 2) At 5 - 7 classes second shift (13: 10-17: 35 when 6 lessons (5 times a week in 7th grade, 3 times for sixth grade, 2 times for grade 5), 5 lesson ends at 16:50 (once a week y7 class, 3 times for grade 5, 2 times for grade 6), fourth lesson (once a week for grades 5-6) ends at 4:05 pm 3) 8-11 classes have their first shifts.8: 00-13: 05 (all have 6 lessons). 4) In our school free meals (in grades 1-4, they go during studies in the canteen There is a schedule, during which lesson, what class goes). Simply give documents, and all. 5) Textbooks are given for free, but some do not suffice, and therefore we ourselves must buy 1-2 books.6) In each cabinet hang hooks, on which we hang our jackets. And the locker room, this is a small room where we change clothes for physical education. Usually there are 2 classrooms. And in gymnastics, we divide the gym so: in the middle of the volleyball net. One side to one class, and the other to another class. 7) The change is 5 minutes, and there is not a big change. 9) We have our own bus that goes outside the city and takes children He travels along the same route, and not everyone can go on it. Because they are not on their way (they pay 750 rubles a year for driving it) 10) People often come to school and show experiments, tricks, jugglers, clowns. And the ticket costs usually from 100 to 250 rubles.
In Serbia elementary school and middle school are like one school. After 9th grade we have high school... There are like "гимназија" its like high schools for really smart kids but after that you NEED TO GO TO COLLAGE!!! But there are also "стручне "schools. I went to one tho... All those "стручне " schools are different. Like if you want to be an artist you go to art high school, or if you like technology you go to "Nikola Tesla" (you learn about computers and a looooot of maths and physics)... After those schools you don't need collage to get a good job... You can just start working. We have lockers in elementary and middle school but in high schools.... Nope... You need to carry stuff.... We can go anywhere we want but we have 20 min brake.... A lot of high schools allow smoking on breaks and that's really great for a lot of us who are addicted to smoking. If you live far away you need to go by city bus's.... We don't have to change our shoes but if you come to school dressed as a slut or something worst they will send you home to change... But... Our schools aren't that bad... I mean everyone hates schools but it will end some day and then you will have to spend your life working as a horse.... Yey.... Anyway... I love your videos big shoutout from Serbia!!! 😉
In British school s we have lockers but only to dump our 4th or 3rd bag in cause omg we need to carry around so much stuff on an average day I have a school bag an emergency pe kit a clarinet or ukelele and sometimes a bag for extra school supplies
@STOCK MARKET It used to be the same in Hungary. If you got a slap at school from the teacher, you got its other half at home if it turned out. Then you knew where the borders are.
Italian system: Primary goes from 1st grade (5 y/o) to 5th ( 10 y/o). Middle school: 1st, 2nd, 3rd year. At the end you have a state exame that you need to pass in order to get to... High School: It's 5 years, you start when you are 13 y/o and here you can decide whether to get to a professional school that's going to prepare you for a specific job or area of profession. Or technical schools that have more practical classes, after which you get immediately go to work with enough practical preparation. Finally you have lyceum, here you study with a more academic/ theoretical approach that's going to be prepare you for university. Of course you can chose which ever field ypu prefer (languages, sciences, art, psicology...) At the end of highschool you have to take a State exam which is considered to be the most important one. ]I personally went to a technical school of languages. There I learnt languages and how to apply the in the work enviornment (official letter, how to respond to complaints, emai ect, both in the tourism area and commercial). I decided to go to the university and go on with my studies.] At uni you could enroll in like single-cycle degrees (5 years) or you do a bachelor degree and if you want to go on you can get the master's... We don't have lockers nor schoolbuses (actually they are starting to make available some schoolbuses now). We always stay in one classroom and the teachers move from one class to another. ;)
Also school hours will differ depending on the type of highschool you decide to go to. for example lyceum we get 4 to 5 hours a day. whereas in technical schools we get around 6 or 7 hours a day. I for example hade 6 hours of school a day, but twice a week I would have 8. But we would get an hour and a half of lunch break before our afternoon classes. oh... and we usually have one small break of 15 min in the morning
but where do you hide your 2nd shoes if you don't have lockers? btw almost the same here in the philippines. we don't have school bus (you can pay one to get you) we dont have lockers (again, you have to pay if you're in private school)
Some schools in USA removed lockers because of issues with drugs, knives, guns, etc. I have learned that only today. I'm from Ireland. Some Irish schools have lockers and some don't.
Omg i live in albania and it is the same as in russia😂... the teenage dream here is a locker too and choosing your subjects but no it is just like russia
don't forget that when you get home ... there are 2-3 hours of homework.. and back in the USSR all the teachers except music, military and labor classes had master degree in education
We have to spend 14 years in school in INDIA (AN ALLY OF RUSSIA) we have to start school life in class NURSERY 1 then comes NURSERY 2 then classes 1 to 12
Omg same here in my school in the Philippines. We have no lockers ffs. We can’t go out during break (UGH) and we only have 30 mins of break. For primary and intermediate students they only have 15 idk why And we also can’t pick our own class :(
11) Primary school is something like a kindergarten. Children sit, and just talk to the teacher, they play, and only learn math and Russian. The teacher often did not allow us to exercise, or a music lesson. We just instead of these lessons, conducted another 1 lesson in mathematics or the Russian language. 12) In the third grade, in May everyone is accepted as a pioneer. We just wear a pioneer tie up to grade 5, that's all.
Когда живёшь в России и решил посмотреть про своё образование

Oh so Russian school is exacly the same as Polish school. I'm Polish and we have the same education system as in Russia

True about European and Russian schools. Another similaritie is that after graduating from European/Russian school a student has a decent knowledge of math, history, geography etc. After graduating from US school has a difficulty to show where Canada is.
yeah,i think in all slavic countries it's like that..i'm from Croatia
The toilets in my Kindergarten, Elementary school, middle school, high school and university Never had toilet paper! never! not a single day! sometimes not even hand soap.... so you had to bring your own toilet paper or else, you should clean your ass with your socks or your underwear and of course put it in the trash after... or you could use some notebook sheets as toilet paper and hurt your butthole..... ahhh the memories!
That's ridiculous! We had problems with toilet paper too, even though the school I went wasn't a free school. They were raising the price of each quarter and treating us that they will stop buying the toilet paper.
Because I study in a girl's school, the usage of toilet paper is rather high and the school asks us to donate $26 for "Toilet Paper Fund". XD
Khristian Crz
Lucky that you had stalls, in my school it's all dirty and broken, and just two toilets standing in an almost empty room
Khristian Crz lmao I thought only in China can you find this type of problem 😂
Same in Romania.I believe we were given toilet paper and soap in kindergarten, but NEVER in school. We used to bring wet wipes and tissues with us.In my high school, there weren't even bathrooms. There were just...holes in the ground.

хехе. система образования стара как мир, учителя своей агрессией доводят до депрессии или чего похуже. У нас самые пиздатые школы, о да
Your nick reflects your essence
Omg russian schools are SO like chinese schools
The absence of lockers, learning a ton of subjects and those unholy recess times, like how do they expect us to wait in line and finish our food in such a short time?
Ps your videos are lovely, I guess it is safe to say that you are my number one favourite youtuber
Thank you darling:)
TRUE!
Gemini Fells. My brother teaches English in China, and he talks about the american education system, they said "They would kill for that type of learning"
Iakov Vodka I'm not from china, but i study in a chinese school
If i went to a government funded school, the education system would be very much different, quite like British schools, actually.
Like Japan too
You did well that you learned English. It's very cool, it's like I learned Chinese.
We dnt have lockers in Indian schools too

The toilets at my elementary school in Russia (come to think of it, in kindergarten, too) did not have stalls. Like, when you enter the bathroom, it was just like, two or three open toilets wtf. Also, I believe they were co-ed.
what....?
This is so relatable. Same in Georgia except we have school for 12years and 15minutes for lunch. Even worth
That's sounds so fun to have small group of people in class:)
XD
High school canteen doesn't usually cook lunch so we have to dine out.
In Morocco ,it doesnt matter what year you are at it’s 2 hours class from 8-12pm and from 2-6pm daily except for sunday and wed + sat afternoon
@@DEEJAYNH10 Really?! Your school day is 4 hours?! My school day lasts 7 hours (in Russia)

im from Croatia and the first 4 years we had one teacher and middle school is classes 5-8 and we have different teachers for every subject. its in the same building. highschool however u can pick a school u want, but u need to have good enough grades to get into a certain highschool. here highschool classes are 1-4 so its not like 9-12. and we have a,b,c,d classes too. college is an option here but if u go to a gymnasium u need to go to college cause otherwise u wont have a good job. and we don't have school busses :/

Have you seen school in Africa ???? you should be proud of Russian school, sorry you were not born in the country of ur choice
My school starts at 7:30 and ends around 14:20 (even later in tuesdays or if you take extra classes like me) so i think yours is ok
Fedor Amuricano we don't wanna be proud of russian schools and russia. russian schools is not a little paradise.
Детка, ты сумасшедшая! (в хорошем смысле) Обожаю тебя!))
Oh my god! You get 10 minute breaks between classes? And finish at 2! I wish my school was like that XD
I'm Australian.
Candy 2000
Plus we dont have lunch rooms or even lunch breaks! ;-;
(also hi from romania too-)
Cred ca pauza mare (aia de 20 de minute) e pauza aia in care mananci, desi poti manca in orice pauza
And basically we don’t know how to “be adult” (pay taxes, how to find a job etc.).
sorry for my eng btw
and we go to school from Monday to Friday
At 7th grade we have 36 hours every week, 7-8 hours per day
sounds similar
WOW RUSSIAN SCHOOLS ARE GREAT THEY HAVE BIOLOGY!
@Mashutko obNYAsh-ka ыхых🌚
Wow! That sounds pretty complicated:)
David Pavlas Same in Croatia except elementary/middle.school is 1st-8th grade then 9-12th gymnasium or job school then all is the same like slovenia

It’s a blessing to have a locker during high school.
Jocelyne how r u?
the american school i go to is weird because we only have 4 classes but they switch in the middle of the year (so we have classes that are 2 hours long but 8 classes total). and we do have lockers but you have to pay for one. but the middle school i went to we were assigned lockers but instead of one really tall locker we had two short ones, stacked on top of each other. and getting a bottom locker was hell because not only did you have to crouch down to get your stuff the person above you had to like curve around you and when they opened their locker the bottom edge of the locker has a high chance of hitting you in the head and that shit hurts
In Macedonia we get 10c and we dont go on saturdays.
Here in indonesia
Elementary school
(1st - 6th grade) 7:00 am to 12:45 pm
Middle school
(7th - 9th grade ) 7:00 am to 1:45 (6 days a week, every grade is separated into 8, example > 9a - 9h)
High school
(10th - 12th grade) 7:00 am - 3:30 (5 days a week, there are social and science class, here we have 10 class for every grade ex: 10 social 1-3, 10 science 1-7 )
someone who car3s 6 days a week? Oh god I couldn't stand it.
Ok no yeah it's really sucks moreover we have to face the national final exam in 9th grade ( last year of mid school) so that in 9th grade the class starts at
5:50 am and ends at 3:30 p.m
Fyi : it's also 6 day a week
It might be about the lighting to an extend but this is possibly the best hair color and style I've ever seen in my entire life
I live in America my school schedule
Time for school : 8:30am end in 230 : 8:30 to 9:00 math 10 to 10:30 breaktime : 10:30 to 11:00 history :lunch break 11:30 to 12:00
12:00 to 12:20 breaktime : language Art 12:20 to 12:50 : elective ( my elective art, drama, Science) elective 12:50 to 2:30.
Trinidadian schools don't have lockers (only in the posh international schools)
Lunch and breakfasts are provided by the government in public schools, but you need to sign up for it
We have recess in ALL grades
Lunch is about 1hr and in some schools you aren't allowed to leave the building.
no separate shoes for indoors or outdoors,
Uniforms are throughout all grades, even some preschools have uniforms.

In my country you go to "elementary school " for 9 years (Pre school optional)
Highschool 3-4, depends what job
Faculty (Colege) 4-6 years also depends what job.
In my chinese-filipino school :
-no school buses
-needs school ID to enter and exit
-no lockers
-uniforms
-20 minutes break in the morning and two 10 minutes break in the afternoon
-english , math , sciences , etc. starts at 7:20am and ends at 2:50pm and then 2:50pm to 4:30pm is all chinese subjects
i live in estonia, next to russia, my country won 2 wars from russia, and we have lockers in our school, we carry our stuff with us in school, we dont put our stuff in the lockers, only shoes and clothes, the teachers get paid too much, im in 4th grade but go to the school where 5-12th graders go, and yes we have A and B classes too, we were set into A and B before we went to school, and russian schools are awesome wdym
Nice to get a break between periods, that never happened in the secondary schools I went to in the UK. The first one was full of self important teachers who would keep you in class until the end of the period and expect you to travel instantaneously from your previous class which could be in a different building on the same site.

This is the life of a Scottish child 😂
I go to a charter school in America, and we still don’t get to choose classes. At my old public school we had no lockers at any school,my charter school is the only one I’ve seen with lockers
Polish school is actually the same. The only difference is that we have 6 grades of primary school, 3 grades of junior high school and 3 grades of high school.
Zuzia Zuzia outdated 🤓
Zuzia how r u?
Lolol, My whole family is Russian but we had to move to Germany and you know what? The school system in Germany is same as in the Russian. We have to take every single book for every single subject and drag them around 😂😥
The lonely Artist Nelly wieso musstet ihr nach Russland umziehen?
I wouldn‘t say it‘s exactly the same but it‘s very similar. In Germany we have year 1-12 or 13. And from year 5-10 you mostly have 6 different classes but 11-13 mostly just 3 or 4 per day. And as far as I know from people from my surrounding teacher in elementary school change once.
I am so sorry for your hardships. I hope it goes/went well :(
I'm from lithuania and it's literally the same here with schools however some of the schools do have lockers which thank god for that cuz in middle school we did not have that and it was such a pain to carry all of the books with you including your sports wear for PE.
Pretty similar to Croatian schools. Excepts our lunch breaks are 15 minutes😭
15 minutes!!!!!!
that's like asian school i'm from Indonesia and we also had every subjects in the same class, except for PE and music as well as classrooms with sign 9a or 9b if you are grade 9.
Here in Brazil is basically the same thing, but we start classes at 7:30am and finishes at 11:50am, the thing about the shoe doesn't exist and the teachers are really nice and most of them are really young! ^^
So is it in germany:
Class 1-4 is simlar to the russian school. It is called "Grundschule" in germany.
After that you can go to a "Gymnasium" (Class 5-12 or 5-13) or to a "Regelschule" (Class 5-10).
Normal school day:
8.00-8.45 German
5 min break
8.50-9.35 English
15 min break
9.50-10.35 History
5 min break
10.40-11.25 PE

11.45-12.30 Biology
5 min break
12.35-13.20 Art
5 min break
13.25-14.10 French/Italien/Russian
5 mik break
14.15-15.00 Maths
~Wednesday of 7th class
We have lockers but they are really small.
We have the marks from 1 till 6
1~ perfect
2~ good
3~ akzeptabel
4~ sufficient / passed
5~ inadequate
6~ total bad
Exactly the same thing in Algeria! Now i know what model authorities have followed for educational system. I like ya by the way. & Thanks for your honesty.
It's like schools in Bulgaria.Almost the same except that one with the shoes. We don't need to change our shoes to come into the school.
In Germany you have to go to 2 different schools. 1. School 1-4 class 2. School 5-9, 5-10 or 5-12
i am from serbia and I underestand you in serbian schools we do not have lockers and we do not have school bus so you need to go to school with a regular bus or walk and we have 8 grades in middle school and then we go to high school
We have lockers in my school in Portugal but for some reason we can't use them. They are there just to look nice and meanwhile we have to carry all our books. Someone please explain me why this happens, I want to know
This is nonsense. WHY?
Next you can do University or a Post-Highschool thing (donno anything about it).
in brazil it’s almost the same but we have 12 years of school and we don’t need to change our shoes
я в Латвии училась, у меня всегда был шкафчик, без замка правда, но вещи никто не тырил. правда училки были мерзкие, да :)
i am from india and our schooling is harder than this, when u have a break once after every class,we get break 5 min after every 2 classes covering 1.45 hr,and we have 7 periods {different subject}+no locker.
There are like "гимназија"
its like high schools for really smart kids but after that you NEED TO GO TO COLLAGE!!! 😉
Sounds like my school. My school isnt even Russian but you actually described my school very well.
In British school s we have lockers but only to dump our 4th or 3rd bag in cause omg we need to carry around so much stuff on an average day I have a school bag an emergency pe kit a clarinet or ukelele and sometimes a bag for extra school supplies
Underpaid very much! You also i think forgot that teachers in Russia (not all) scream at students! Not cool!
CaptainNameless those teachers need a therapist tbh (i have this kind of teacher)
Its normal to scream at students... some students are just plain stupid and need iron-hand to teach them
all of the teachers are screaming at students and not only in Russia I guess but sometimes it gets physical so that’s the scary part
@STOCK MARKET It used to be the same in Hungary. If you got a slap at school from the teacher, you got its other half at home if it turned out. Then you knew where the borders are.
Italian system:
Primary goes from 1st grade (5 y/o) to 5th ( 10 y/o).
Not all schools in America are like that, it depends on the size of the school and the funding the department of education gives the school.
Omg i live in albania and it is the same as in russia😂... the teenage dream here is a locker too and choosing your subjects but no it is just like russia
In Britain we only have 3 stages nursery, primary and high and at school have an hour for lunch and we don't have 2 change our shoes
Same with Lithuanian schools. We don't go to the school on saturday, but everything else is 100% same.
In greece its all the same except we have school buses and pick up our subjects
Wow so much breaks between the lessons. In germany you have sometimes no break between 2 different lessons which are like 90minutes
don't forget that when you get home ... there are 2-3 hours of homework.. and back in the USSR all the teachers except music, military and labor classes had master degree in education
We had a school bus that takes us to school, lockers, can wear the same shoes you were wearing be in the first place .
So relatable. How does a teenager finish lunch in 20 minutes. For me 40 minutes used to be less. It's so annoying like who makes these stupid rules.
We have to spend 14 years in school in INDIA (AN ALLY OF RUSSIA)
we have to start school life in class NURSERY 1
then comes NURSERY 2
then classes 1 to 12
Omg same here in my school in the Philippines. We have no lockers ffs. We can’t go out during break (UGH) and we only have 30 mins of break. For primary and intermediate students they only have 15 idk why
And we also can’t pick our own class :(
Many students in America don't really use their lockers anymore because we don't have the time to go to them.
Sounds as jacked up as ours. We're disorganized with massive amounts of information like you. And we're all super speshal winners.
