Yes :) We used to have a few birch tree's but they all died many years ago for some reason. I live in NJ so you don't see many of them. Just curious, how do you cut into the tree's without killing them?

Hm. A thing we often did in Canada was put maple syrup on the snow because in the Little House on the Prairie books, they did this somehow - only they did it so it actually hardened and made candy. We didn't do it right, we tried but it just made maple flavoured snow. There are so many chemicals in the snow I don't know why our parents let us do it. Oh well, we all lived.
We had sheets too - but we actually bought them and they came in bright colours. They have a name I think but I forget. Instead of an actual sled, they were thin so they went faster down the hill and they'd slip and slide rather than just straight down. We also had saucer shaped ones - flat too.

a n n e m i c h same here. I use Babbel and LingQ as apps. LingQ is really interesting, since you can import what you like (newspaper articles, song lyrics...) and it translates and puts it into your vocabulary.
Also I wrote on several language sites, that I am looking for a language partner and met somebody from St. Peter, we often have Skype meetings, where he teaches me the language.
