Im a japanese. i was born 1949. a few years after world war second. To compare with
the elementary school i attended, this school looks five star hotel.
The school attended was military horse shack.

I went to school from 1991 (East Germany, after the fall of the Wall) to 2003 (Gymnasium/High School) and was impressed, how fast the prices for meals in school were growing. We (almost) had 3 currencies in this time (the East-German Mark was gone, right when I went to school and the Euro was introduced just before I left). Since I attended university while working (so studies were at weekends and after work), there was no speacial meal. I hope the pupils in Russia will still get a good and affordable meal in schools in the future. I think it is very important for the kids. In Germany, some parents struggle to give their kids good meals for school or pay the money for the meals.

Marco Müller in my Canadian city it is slightly middle class but many are families are working an low income families. It is expensive here, and there is no free lunch program. We have a hot lunch program that is ordered online 3 to 4 times a month depending on if there is a holiday that time. It is more of a fundraiser type program for the school not really for free meal replacement. In other cities they have free breakfast and lunch program for poor kids. In my city they don't recognize or have the fund for those kids. I will pay for my kids to eat the food since it gives me a break from packing food and all Canadian schools have a Fruit and vegetable program in which local farmers provide seasonal fruit and veggies at a low cost for schools to buy and kids have these food to eat twice a month and k-2 kids have fresh milk cartons from local farmers as well. I struggle to feed my kids for school because they are picky and I try to avoid junk food, peanut products and juice since the schools here discourage juice carton build up/sugar and allergy products with nuts, granola bars and spreads. Everyone here must bring a water bottle for 6hr school day. There are many families who just cannot afford the healthy fruit, veggies, dairy products and grains for kids to have a balance diet every school day. One boy in my kids class ate pizza and he was quite tired out from running.

This school year for the first time all students can get if they choose free lunch and breakfast our small Texas school system has too many poor but we decided that to make it free for all that way no one was tagged as being too poor to buy their lunch.

at least learn what you are talking about. FEMA camps are for those displaced by natural disaster. This country is far from perfect but still a good place for those who want to succeed. There is no one making you stay here.

Apple Pie 2019's representation of American life is almost entirely inaccurate. I live in America. Have had children in the school systems here. No one has been "rounded up and forced into FEMA camps." Undocumented immigrants don't receive benefits. But if they work, they pay into a Medicare and Social Security system that they won't be able to benefit from -- which is sad.
This Russian school looks wonderful. Clean, quiet, lace curtains on the windows, potted plants in the hallways, restful colors, lots of windows, no sugary drinks or junk food sales. A perfect environment for learning.

What a beautiful school! My son, Benjamin would love to be there because he loves those birds! We call the birds parakeets in United States... Benjamin has one for a pet, his name is "Blue Feather". 8^)

I work in public schools in Florida in there maintenance department, the key differences is that the.russians school seem to be cleaner and more orderly, but where I work at most of our schools are newer and have more technolgy I don't think form what I see that our school are actually teaching anything it's all about passing a state test

Very enjoyable. Over here in Ontario, Canada we have also stopped selling fast food in schools for the most part. I remember years ago when I was a high school teacher in the '80's students could buy cookies, chips, soda pop and candy. So glad it has changed!

I am also from Ontario Canada. I went to high school in the late 60s early 70s. I remember we had a lunch room and kitchen with meals cooked by 3 ladies. It didn't cost much and it was very good food. Now of course all that is gone. Times were better then. We had school bus trips etc but they even cut all that out because they say that they cannot afford it any more.

That is a nice school and many would love to have schools like that in their cities, and countries. The schools here have began stopping the sale of junk food on their campuses also and I agree with that decision as they are unhealthy. Your videos are nice and I enjoy them and you all are so fortunate since some countries don't have such modern school facilities for their children.

My first eight years was in a one room school in South Dakota, since then I have taught high school in Tucson in Math and Physics. This looks very nice, but here first six grades have their own school, public school, seventh through twelve grades have their own school. Our private school will sometimes have all grades on one campus. All teachers have a four year college degree, with some having masters or PhD degrees.

Talking of sameness, I went to school in Sydney Australia way back in the distant 50's and 60's. Very little has changed between what I see now at home and what is in the video. And basic mix of causes taught, regardless of language appears to be constant.

The elementary schoolers only go to school for half a day every day? My kids are elementary age and go from 8-2:30 here in the US. Perhaps Russian elementary only has the subjects listed and does not have recess, art, music, PE, media classes also? This would account for the time difference in school days.

    Nice video.
I am glad the school does not sell junk food and I really like the bird area. It is good for making the students calm and relaxed and we can sure use that in North American schools. We separate our elementary schools from the middle schools and high schools where I am. Sometimes they are on the same piece of land but they are not usually physically joined together.
When I went to school and was a small kid I would not want to be near the really big students from Grade 7 as they may pick on you and beat you up or scare you. It seems your students must get along that way.
Ukrainians like Borscht and I sure would like a bowl of it now. My Mom used to make it when she had a big garden but has stopped now. She used to make it with beets and all kinds of vegetables and it was GREAT.

In the United States elementary, middle and secondary or high school education are typically conducted in separate facilities in order to minimize the incidence of bullying of younger students by their older, higher grade classmates. How do Russian education authorities handle this problem or is there any attempt to address this phenomenon to begin with?
