There's already a word that LTO is not really doing any show cause order unless there is a viral video of the said vehicle - that is why more and more rider starting to run a way
Is it worth it for an officer to grab the steering wheel from the rider causing for the rider to stumble? will the enforcer be accused of reckless apprehension?

My nephew run away too and he taught he was able to free himself from being ticketed. But he paid a big amount when he registered his motorcycle. That's including the charges and penalties from running away.
this is good to know. i had this notion that the violations do not reach the LTO that's why a lot don't care.
So glad you addressed it GadgetAddict. People will stop respecting LTO if they do not show proof of their actions in disciplining riders who run away from apprehension and it will only show their incompetency in the sector they’re supposed to enforce
Even if they conceal the identity of the driver, I think they can give a description and/or photo or video of the incident - and then share the conclusion of the show-cause order.
That way the public will know that there's really a consequence to running from the law.
Nah, i doubt it. Gov employees arent that punctual specially on office. If the leaders have change then he might have need a proof of actions that he actually doing something and might do it. But after that back to old ways.
Why is there no PNP on big bikes waiting to chase runners. There are people with no plate. There is no motivation to not run. Without a plate, there is no way t😢o issue a Show Cause order.

In the US, when they stop a motorcycle, they make them turn off the bike and take the key so they can't run. The enforcers should stop the rider, have them turn off the bike and make them push it to the side to get their tickets. These are small light bikes, easy to do and won't take much time and will prevent them from running.
Imprisonment. They must be hiding something that's why they have a urge to run away. Either no license, drugs, guns who would know right?
Cancel the license of those who ran away, jail them too for putting the enforces in danger, post them when they are caught !
There must have another set of enforcer in front to catch the escape riders,if not all violators will try to run away

Hi gadget addict, I’m the one in motorcycle who called you kanina. Hehe. I saw how light the traffic is that time but still many drivers were apprehended. This clearly shows that the problem and reason why they are doing this is not the heavy traffic anymore. It’s the lack of values of the people and how they disrespect (or lost their respect to) the law and law enforcers. Having a driver’s license is not a right but a privilege, and it seems that people with license are being too privileged to the point that they feel that they can do anything on the road. Apprehension is not enough, they should undergo values formation.
I do agree however, kaya pa rin daming violators kasi may lusot parin, kahit kunin mo DL nila or fine them, they can just ignore the renewal and not pay the fees anymore and worst just drive around without a DL kaya sana IMPOund nlng kaagad or make the offense subject for impound
@@m1cma23 totoo, pansin ko mas malakas gumawa ng ganito yung walang lisensya, walang rehistro, o hiram lang ang motor. Kasi kahit mahuli sila, walang mawawala sa kanila, walang matiticketan. And it will boil down to my point - values. If they have high moral standards and values as a human being, bakit sila magdadrive nang walang lisensya? O paso ang rehistro? Maybe because they really just don’t care or don’t know how to show respect.
It's part of being Filipino. Diskarte even if you don't need to. We must find ways to break the law.

Next time do a blog about the people who ran away and recieved a showcost order. So riders or runaway drivers are really getting a showcost order
They intentionally break their license plates to avoid being caught, traffic enforcers should add penalties to these people.
many believe that on holidays, traffic laws and enforcers take a break as well. good job to mmda/saict for being consistent with enforcement. i've watched a lot of violators argue na "dapat andyan kayo 24/7!", so wish granted.

Traffic might be light but as Filipinos we need to flaunt that we are above the law so we drive on the bus lane.

They are doing great job. Yes some slip thru but most commuters obey and the once caught stop and get ticketed. Increase the fines.
There's probably a report or summary on the total and breakdown of the issued show cause order. Also, it would be nice to watch traffic court proceedings.
I guess it’s time the government to act on this supposed to be no plate no riding or driving. all the cars and motorcycles must be registered and prosecuted if they use it without plate number!

That's normal. And has been for years.
I've always been on the fence about whether to show it or not.
It happens to MMDA, LTO, SAICT, PNP - it's a common problem every single day.
My hope is that by showing it, there can be an improvement in the process involved in taking action against those people who run away.
Probably has a loose firearm or drugs.
@@GadgetAddictNot sure tLTo can show the results in public since the case is between the complainant (SAIc) and the violator, the only way to stop them is to make the offense impoundable so they will be forced to pay the fees, since they can always choose not to renew their DL or worse drive around without it
They've announced the results in some viral or high profile incidents in the past. So it seems like it's possible 🤷
In fact, there were many times in the past where they even released the full SCO, which included all the personal details of the driver.
I can understand if they conceal the personal details, but a description of the violation, any relevant photo or video and then an overview of the outcome seems reasonable.

Just saw the end of the video and it’s exactly as I stated. The Government needs to address the fact that show cause orders just aren’t enough and we need actual enforcers with Motorcycles on standby for those who run away especially without plate numbers

3 I feel like I miss the clearing operations more now since we get to see the different states of our roads in different areas of metro manila. Clearing operations vids had the involved parties sometimes speak what's on their mind on camera which is fascinating and sometimes get really trendy.

I'm a motorcycle owner. Kumuha ako ng motor year 2015. Hanggang ngayon wala pa rin akong plaka. LTO ang may problema.

Sir GA, what will happen to those who flee from traffic enforcers when their vehicles have no rear license plate? How will a show cause order be issued in such cases?
They should have a Hotline so people watching ur video or to report bus lane violations and can call in if they think they know the ones that run. It may not work but.........

And yes, nag comment na ako last week kung ano nga ba nangyayari sa mga "show cause" order na to,. andami violators the past several months at mga tumatakas etc. yung namedropping babae na may connection daw with General kung sino, these things should be available to the public. Kailangan pa ba freedom of information act request para dito?
dapat din yung mga pinag show cause order, pag nag report na sa LTO, public din yung conversation or admission nila or kung ano man yung pagdadahilan nila para magawang public record yung katangahan na pagdadahilan nila.

@@TheBlueFernando Pasalamat yang mga ume eskapong kamote na mga yan wala sila sa US. Pag sa Amerika nila ginawa yan tiyak hindi sila tatantanan ng mga US cops hanggat di sila nahuhuli. US cops can use force and firepower if and when necessary, gaya na lang kapag pinapatigil ka nila pero di ka tumigil. Also, any resulting damage out of the use of necassary force, hindi liable ang mga US cops. Dapat ganyan din sa Pilipinas.

Bottomline, hindi ka mamomroblema sa injury kung titigil ka. If walang common sense yung rider, then that's not our problem anymore. Injury? Serves them right for trying to run from the law.

I dont understand why mc driver uses bus lane in this kind of situation.. you can see that all the other lane is moving good therea no traffic at all and yet they still using the bus lane even if they know how much the penalty ..
Goodluck getting timely and meaningful action from LTO to do the bare minimum of their job in apprehending this traffic violators. From delayed releasing of motor plates and licenses, non registration renewal delinquents, update of OR/CR to latest owner, cloned motor plates, to fixers/ special treatment/ vip at every level this govt agency is corrupt to the core. For lto, this show cause order is another side hustle for them para pagkakitaan
So now we should have more officers on Holidays.

LTO, It's time to increase the penalty for entering the Bus Lane Only to P15K for those riders who escaped the apprehension by the enforcers and ban them from using their licenses for 1 year.

This is disappointing. MMDA has not repainted the line markings along EDSA. They have a budget for this but no action is taken. I drove this morning from Ortigas to Makati. The road markings are still the same.... some are gone.
I think you might be a little confused. Road maintenance is under DPWH

Make the fine payable within 30 days or fine increases every Day till paid.
There could be too much red tape over at LTO so 9 cases out of 10 more than likely nothing will happen......

The enforcers could actually use a little more force in apprehending those who run away. The justification being the runners are using their MC as weapons.
I'll say again, provide these enforcers with a tool that will stop riders from trying to escape.

what if the license is paper and not card are the enforcer still going to confiscate it? because up to now LTO office is still on a card shortage when it comes to drivers license.

LTO should consider implementing license plates in both front and back of MCs to prevent escaping during apprehension. Syempre disgaree dito most of the MC riders. Pero wala eh. Nasisira image ng ibang riders dahil sa ilang mga kamote na hindi sumusunod sa batas. Simpleng pagsuot ng helmet, hindi magawa. Hindi dapat dumaan ng bus lane, pilit pa ring gagawin. 🤦♂️

If you are a criminal carrying contraband while riding a motorcycle, you would likely have a fake plate number. So those that run, need to be apprehended then and there.

I provide it to the agency involved.
It's a normal practice for witnesses, media, and anyone else that has information - to feed it through to the relevant agency.
But 99% of the time, an enforcer or other personnel on the ground already has the plate number - if not a photo / video.
If you evade the halt, it would be the 3rd penalty which cost P20,000 . Easy money right?

That's why i always ask to make a video on the runaway rider that they are receiving Show Court Order sp evryone will know that MMDA is serious on the implementation of this violation law.

There should be stiffer penalties with people that evade. Here in the US, that's jail time (Felony Reckless Evading). I'm pretty sure these guys get home and tell the story about how he evaded the traffic enforcers. Probably having a good laugh too while telling the story. You guys need to start setting examples or else these riders won't take you seriously.
LoL a license proves you're a competent driver but disregards traffic rules 😂. Yup that's one way to describe most Filipino drivers, I have a license but I don't have to follow the rules. Unless there's an enforcer up ahead.

Bakit di muna pahintuin, kung nasaan ang motor at kunin muna ang lisensya bago patabihin? Sa ganitong paraan, HINDI o WALA man lang maaaring makatakbo gaya ng nakunang video. Isa rin ito siguro sa makapagtataas ng moral sa mga enforcer, at magiging aware ang mga violator. Ang lakas ng loob nilang tumakas pag ganyan may kaluwagan sa pagpapahinto.
