The army looks amazing! Also, good job with the bases 👏. Thanks for showing the whole process. When The Old World drops, you'll be ready for it:). Now I need to grab my resin and start printing a new army as well 😄.
Your base look great. To make it look like sand easily, just add a little bit water on top of the filler, a few drops on top then sculp the dunes. You can also just paint the cracked paint with lahmian medium (actually it's a non pigmented paint). I do that to keep the cracks to fall off.
Thanks ! Really appriciate. What do you mean, so i have to put the lahmian medium on right after it dry? or how would you do it? =) Thanks for the advice!
@@NordicMiniaturePainting Yes you wait until it dries, and you can actually put a base coat of any kind. The paint will actually keep the flakes from falling off. (there is no miracle here, but it helps quite a bit) If you don't want to put a base coat with a color, Lahmian medium is actually paint but without any color pigments. So it does the same thing. just use a brush for base coats or lamian medium.
I never tried this. But i would love to be able to make my prints abit more flexibile. I tried mixing In some epax resin But it made me have way more fail prints. Try using UV tough resin for added flexibility. Standard resin by itself is too brittle. You can use tough resin by itself, or mix it 20-50% tough with standard. You can also use tenacious resin in a similar way. If flexible resin is too expensive, try ABS like resin instead of standard.
@@NordicMiniaturePainting Understandable. It's definitely worth it imo. With exposure, it's better to be a little over exposed than under exposed. Your print settings should not change much. Support removal is so much easier with flexible resin.

@@NordicMiniaturePainting it's a case of doing all your exposure tests again every time you try a new resin. Empire of Dust Kings of War army you can run this at events even nobody cares. As a old Fantasy player GW never could write rules worth a flip and if 8th and 9th edition 40k are any example I'm not at all excited about a GW bringing back old world fantasy. The fact that when AoS came out nobody continued playing old editions of fantasy and the game just died says everything really. Upside you literally need 1 book for King's of War to play any army in the game now, it's active, and they don't make new things OP just to sell models and constantly release $45 army books on top of $75 rulebooks. The good thing is you 3D printed it so when the 9th age drops and it's as garbage as 9th edition 40k you'll only be out some resin and whatever you paid for the STL files.
Dude!!!!!! I TOTALLY DID THE SAME THING!!!!!!!! I thought I was a bit crazy going to a bunch of different lines but NOPE!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!

Try using abs-like resin or mix in 10% tenacious with standard resin. Makes them a bit more flexible and won’t break as easy.

hey man can you tell us where you found those cool obelisks that you used as unit fillers? they are nice and tall, most are the broken small kind :)

They look great !
What is that scale measuring mat you have there ?
hey thanks alot!
i bought from Kraken wargames
they measure 44/60 :)
You need to apply paint to the bases before applying texture paint. Citadel paint flakes off aswell if you don't paint the base first

i def. should be priming or so beforehand.
