The manual for the Tara 1800 says you don't need a extra battery or capacitor to run it. Do you get a lot of voltage drop at medium volume and does it get extremely hot? Also, how loud is the fan on it?

All knobs off...gain @ 1/2....tuned 31 hz....I moved on to a American bass xfl1544 now...same box and amp...

I have it on stock elec..it hasn't made my gauge move till over 3/4 volume...still not bad...and you cant hear the fan over my dash rattle..🤣😅😎
It's never got hot...I built a stand , and have 2"feet to keep it off the board..and circulate air...like lol rubber appliance feet

Taramps has a built in fan, and I have 2 in. Rubber spacers under it for air flow...never gets warm...
