I ended up doing that and putting 2 6x9” 3 ways in the dead space between the box and seats. I was also debating pointing them up to see if it’s any different
For these 600rms subs yes but for my single 15 5000k rms 4 inch 8 layer voice coil it has a 13 inch magnet and weighs 135 pounds this thing needs to be facing the cabin and not the trunk
Dom...straight up it seems to allow a softer spread of lyrics instead of it screamn at u..but pointing them to cross sound like a ..X.. .awesome for bypasser's and all around loud af

See I got the 1,500w amp and I have to have my gain passed half way to have it slap hard like most ppl do . I need to figure it out shits annyoing the fuck out of me . Wondering how all u ppl only have ur gain barley half and it slaps like crazy. I’m getting a aftermarket stereo put in tommorw I’ll have someone check my wiring or something
I’ve always found If you turn the subs around the cones push all of the air from the trunk into the cab. So then instead of just maybe 1-2 cubic feet of air pressure coming from the cones facing towards you, by facing them towards the opening of the trunk you’re utilizing all of the airspace in your trunk as well. I always thought of it of how a megaphone works. 🤷♂️ plus mines always sounded wayyyyy better turned with the subs facing backwards.
@@beardedforlife3740 they make a bad bumping noise when it gets loud/high bass, to me as if it was getting too much power. I don’t have my gain too high or anything I’m just not sure what that would be about, especially because I’ve been told that they could take more power, just not sure.
What is it w skar owners facing thr subs the wrong direction? I guess its bc they're entry level subs, but this is like the third skar video I've seen w this issue. Aside from that Skar seems to make decent stuff for the money. They get a lot of hate in the car audio community, but they're good for what they are.

@@domcarman1821 Great choice on subs, terrible amp. That thing doesnt even put out 1k x 1 @ 1ohm, its one of the worst amps on the market as far as advertised power rating. Get either an Audiopipe 1500d (not the mini) or a Skar RP1500d for $200 and you will be fucking AMAZED at the difference real clean power makes. And it can get way better than Skar or Audiopipe too, but those prices start to climb very fast

All depends on the wattage you’re running. I just went through my 2nd stock alternator this year pushing around 2000w total. I would recommend an alternator upgrade if you’re planning on going on the higher end. I went 4 years on this car almost 10yrs total on my old 450w system no problems with stock alternators and single run of the mill battery.
@@PNWmycologist it depends on the wattage your trying to run but the first thing the experts say to upgrade is the alternator and “the big 3”, then batteries, then capacitors
@@PNWmycologist most car audio channels recommended upgrading the alternator. After upgrading mine I realized the problem wasn’t the alternator itself but the wiring for it. I redid all the wiring and problem solved. I definitely recommend upgrading to a good battery at the very least. Look into XS power or Optima batteries.
Yes I’ve had them a few months now. After having several different systems, I like this one a lot. It was the cheapest set I’ve bought and very comparable to the others I’ve had. I would recommend if your going for cheap and decent. You won’t be breaking any records with them but so far I’m very satisfied.
Legit amp dyno with this amp says 908 @ 13.5 volts check at Williston audio labs boss 4K dyno above what the haters are saying but not what you’re thinking go with tar amps 3k but be careful it will kill them have the same subs with that amp and it will smoke 💨
It’s not really irrelevant because I have a 3000W peak 2200rms amp I can set it to 1200rms and it can peak over 2500w and hurt the sub. Peak and rms need to remain below the threshold to keep them safe

Turn the box around to where the subs are facing the trunk. It will be way louder.

Appreciate it! This was a very budget build but I’m super happy with how it’s turned out! These subs are definitely worth it for a budget build!

I’ve always found If you turn the subs around the cones push all of the air from the trunk into the cab. So then instead of just maybe 1-2 cubic feet of air pressure coming from the cones facing towards you, by facing them towards the opening of the trunk you’re utilizing all of the airspace in your trunk as well. It’s dual 4 comes pre loaded at 1ohm

If tuned properly yes. Make sure to take measurements of your car before purchasing to see if it will fit. It was very snug in my car.

Yes it can work just be careful you don’t over power the subs cuz they might blow if strained too much.

They’re not 2400 watt, they’re only 1200 watts rms. The 2400 is max power and that number is irrelevant
