Not sure what's meant to be so courageous about running away from the ball. If the net wasn't there he would have been halfway to square leg by the time Lee delivered the ball.
Piers was living in, what i call, the "speed" oblivion just as 99% of cricket fans are. His stance suggests that the guy can bat a bit and it became obvious that he was taken by the false perception the ball speed gives while watching it on TV. Probably is the reason why he put himself up for the challenge.
No matter how much you hate the guy. he showed some serious bollocks there. Binga is a proper fast bowler with two settings; (1) Fast (2) Faster. Piers showed some real balls, something worth respecting, After that, you can go back to hating him.
No mercy from Lee! For all of our american friends who think this is barbaric: it is. But Lee's body line deliveries are not unplayable. Any batter worth his salt is able to either negotiate or score off such deliveries. Unfortunately, Piers is a common man, not a professional. Regardless, he talked crap about professionals and volunteered himself to face the music, and he got shown up. Personally, I am completely fine with what Lee did and Piers deserves every bruise he received. Lee was bowling within himself, 80-mile stuff, which is still very quick for the majority of cricket players. Self proclaimed village cricket champ Piers should have tried to approach the 6 deliveries with a modicum of technique, not charged down like a circus buffoon.
If only the British courts delivered justice so swiftly. Thank you Brett Lee.
Imagine the shame of being Piers Morgan's son.
Even us England fans were cheering on Lee 😁
morgan, hated in the states... hated in England too.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.
haha Brett lee is thinking "He has no idea what he's up against"
Healy "You can have courage but you can still be crap." Never a truer word

Unfortunately with Lee, he had McGrath and Warne in the same side. In normal times he would have been in Wakar or Wasim legendary status.
Imagine a 100% Brett Lee!
Stupidity and courage should never be mistaken for one another.

hahaha love Ian Healy's comments at the end there. Basically saying he's weak as piss
He can't even resist name dropping even when he's just been battered:

Watching brett lee bowl from that angle is so so beautiful

Ian Healy at the end was the best part of this
