This is covers everything that I want to do with my chair setup! Thank you for doing this review! When I get my split keyboard I can mount that to those fancy side trays and have EVERYthing at my fingertips.
I will eventually be doing something like this (minus the center stick) to a recliner. I sit in an office chair 8 hours a day so when I get off work I don’t want to continue to sit in an office chair to game. I will need to include a mouse platform on the right and a mount for my razar Tartarus on the left.

Just bought chair, left & right stick, mouse & keyboard using your code. Thanks Noobifier ;D. Wanted a base but £360 just to mount a chair was .... presumptive sure it was cheaper than that a few months ago.
When I used my Saitek X52, I would put it between my legs, sitting on it, to get the center stick experience. Now that I have Monster tech mounts and new Warthogs, the joystick is on the side like the F16. I do miss having the center stick and may look to this mount in the future. I love the adaptability and freedom MonsterTech's mounts have. Awesome video showing this off!

love my mostertech but two small changes would be that the sides should be milled as a close end you can still swing the arms back but now if you are not careful you can have the the stick fall off it is works its way out of the groove. also there shipping cost can be almost the same as the item so be ready. i just got another base to duel stick and the shipping was more than half the cost of the plate
I like this center mount plate. I don't think I'd want a stick in the center.. But I'd definitely consider the plate for the chair.. I'm a big dude and that would just make me feel better for the side sticks. Although currently I have the desk mount options.
I have one - left throttle, right stick, right mouse platform, keyboard tray, adding VPC controller soon, quick swivel, and I may get one or two more part.
Cool but I prefer my own DYI cockpit that I use. I have a throttle and a stick with a racing wheel and the pedals. I can use all of them at once in any setup that I want since that I can mount my flight stick to my right or in the center and I can also flip down my racing wheel for more space. Thanks for the video
Hey hey! Love your content, but I had a question about nomenclature around input acronyms, like HoTaS. I think jump from Hands on Throttle and Stick (HoTaS) to Hands on Throttle and Stick and Stick is HoTaSaS, not HoSaTaT (I think you just misspoke), which would be Hands on Stick (wrong side) and Throttle and Throttle, which I'm pretty sure no one does. It would also not be HoSaSaT, as that puts the throttle on the right, which in a 3 input setup would not make sense, as most pilots have the right hand on the main stick. Am I missing something?
The acronyms doesn't refer to what order your inputs are, but rather just what inputs you have. So if i have a hotas setup but with my stick on the left and throttle on the right it would still be a hotas setup and not a hosat setup.
I have the side mounts for left/right flight sticks with swivels. Also instslled the addon mouse pad base mount. Exactly as N00bifier says, these things are excellent quality, which is not easy to find these days. Only thing I would recommend, if you are thinking of ordering a few extras or that mouse pad base mount later...save on shipping and get them all at once. I did the $46 usd DHL shipping thing twice...doh!
Could you do a video to show how this centre setup compares to using the base lower and using something like VPC's long extension? Does the VPC curved extension even work on a traditional office chair with the base slightly lower down?
@@NOOBIFIER1337 i would think so. To your point about immersion, it definitely helps with the muscle motor memory. When you reach for something that's where it's supposed to be, cuts down on reaction time significantly. But getting in and out of the chair could be a challenge. (Maneuver's aside)
Hey Noob. As interesting as these high budget setups are, I think I'd benefit more from a "how to get the best setup you can on a tight budget" series. Absent all the special equipment, where does the cost/value curve hit a good lower point for sticks, and what's a good way to set up dual sticks on a more traditional gaming computer setup?
It really depends on what you mean with low budget though. Some people think that an x52 is a high budget item, (and it certainly isn't cheap) while others would refer to the likes of Virpil and VKB as high budget choices.
Please if you could help, How did you mount the “base” of the (center mount) to the (universal chair mount) ? Did you use something else other than what was shipped to secure them together? I received my center mount and am having trouble installing it since their manual (on website), just shows how to drill it to the chair.
Thank you for the question, mine simply worked with the chair. The metal plate was held by the 4 bolts that hold the seat to the chair base. The chair cente mount is bolted to the plate. I would like you to contact Monstertech. Their info is on their website and they are usually quick to help. If that does not work, contact me by email.
i think i like center cuz if i need to reach for the mouse the flight stick isnt in the way the only real advantage to side stick is in a real jet at massive Gs but im sure its prolly more comfortable with much longer play time
