Was looking at setting up a chair like this to go with it! After the move we should see the release and know more! Thanks!
Love this setup! Very similar to what I have Joystick in the middle mounted under desk along with throttle on the side also under mounted on the desk. Sitting in my gaming chair mimics exactly what MonsterTech created. Awesome work! Love their products!
I've been looking around at Chairs lately, been debating between things like a Ikea Markus, Secret Labs Titan or Herman Miller....but this chair now has my undivided attention. Thank you for uploading this review!
You say you just ordered the virpil alphas and this was 2 months ago. Question for you is, what country are you in and how long did they take to arrive? Also, were the alphas “back-ordered” when you got them? Because all I see is “back-ordered” and would like to know if I should order anyways and just wait who knows how long for them to arrive. Thanks!
Just when I thought I'd bought everything I needed to from Monstertech :) I've struggled to find a comfortable chair that fits me - being slightly taller than your friend means most chairs aren't made for me. If Monstertech can deliver the goods it might be worth placing an order.
As I replied to another comment earlier. Even at 600-700 dollars, that is still a decent buy for me, comparing to a Herman Miller chair. Their Aeron line can go over 1500 US dollars. Edit: So after ticking all the boxes and choosing the most expensive color scheme (graphite with polished aluminum), It can cost you just shy of 1600 dollars
Can’t wait to see the price, but I’m also a bit scared of that too. I could use a new chair, but I imagine this one will be out of my budget, unfortunately.
This looks really nice and I’m actually on the lookout for a nice chair but I just returned one (ergohuman V2) because I couldn’t get used to not being able to adjust the recline angle (the ability to change the angle of the back in relation to the base). I realise this chair was supposed to emulate a aircraft chair somewhat and also I realise that many high end chairs don’t have a recline adjustment but I’ve found that I really like having that adjustment so I’d personally opt for a cheap chair with that adjustment over a high quality chair without :(
Thanks Noob, I have been on the look out for a chair I can use for work and gaming that is comfortable for a tall person like myself I will definitely be checking this one when it's out!

So its the Ikea office chair (yall know the one) with a cutout in the seat and a mounting bracket? Depending on how close the price is to that, I might consider it. But the Ikea foam on the seat is still good even after a DECADE of gaming, I wonder if this will hold up the same?
I’m looking to buy this chair with dual Constellation Alphas. I’m just not sure where I should mount the dual joysticks to. It has the cool center mount so I assume I should mount one in the middle. The other to my left hand? But it is dual joystick so may be that would feel weird.
Hey cool review. I’m really tempted to give it a try. Is it comfortable? I hate gaming chairs and tried a couple of them. Always to hard and uncomfortable 😣. I also do a lot of desk work so I need a kind of a hybrid setup. The closet i got to a comfortable chair was the ikea markus. However, it not really suited for a flight sim setup.. Thanks for any advice!
One year late! Fingers crossed you’ll reply. At 2:16 what throttle and joystick are you using? Also, what’s that pad on the right called? If possible could you link them?
Wondering about the hassle of hooking up 3 USB connections to the front of the chair. It looks like you have a single adapter to push inputs from all 3 devices? Also, where to you decouple to get out of the seat - at the seat or on the floor at the junction box?
Don't have any monster tech gear yet since I make my own supports out of plywood... This sounds brilliant thouw. QUESTION! What tilting flexibility does the backrest offer? I need a very upright chair posture
Hi. Can you talk about the USB hub you have all that hooked up to. And what a USB HUIB should have when you go to buy one. I suppose the other option is an additional USB PCI slot installed on your computers MB, but the the floor option you have in your vid seems tidy.
It is a basic powered USB that I got on Amazon. There is a really slick non powered one by ANKER that is about 10cmx2cmx0.6cm that can be stuck to the underside of the chair
@TheNOOBIFIER1337 How does the chair's material stand up to cat claws? I'm considering this chair, but I know my cat likes using other leather furniture in the house as scratching material.
That’s pretty sweet.. and I’m sure the JetPad would line up nicely with its cutout :). I fly with an IKEA Poang.. lol. Never been fatigued on a mission... not much for mounting options but comfy cozy :P
While I do appreciate them taking the time and doing the right thing with developing the best chair, I kinda wish it had come out earlier as I might not have spent $400 on a Autonomous Ergo2 chair back in the summer. The unfortunate part is that there currently isn't an adapter to use any of the chair mount systems with it. I hope that MTech does well with these and it would be HUGE to get a DoD contract to make sim chairs.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 At that price point, I'm actually quite surprised that the chair isn't built on a metal frame, while the build quality looks good, the wooden base for the seat leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but that's coming from someone who paid $400 for a Maxnomic chair 4 years ago who is preparing to have its steel frame re-upholstere as its pleather covering is staring to fall apart after 4 years of daily use.

Hi Noobifier, I was going to raise this question on Monster Foundry Forum as a future project idea, however since you have and use the Virpil Rudder Pedals was wanting your opinion. If you could possibly envisage fitting the Virpil Rudder Pedals to some form of an extension mounted plate or frame using the centre chair mount extensions instead of using Rudder Pedals directly on the floor under a desk. I envisage being seated and being able to lift ones feet up off the floor and onto the Rudder Pedals mounted to a plate or a aluminium extrusion frame profile thus allowing for the entire Monstertech Flight Chair MFC-1 Blackbird to freely to a degree (cable management to PC in mind) rotate around with all the Virpil Flight Gear mounted and Rudder Pedals attached to the chair out in front under the centre mount extensions. Your thoughts if it could be possible to do with a form of a Rudder Pedal Plate or frame extensions below and attached to the front center mount. They would be much appreciated. Thanks
