    Great video, camera and audio is perfect. My experience with BF KO2 are after a while they just stop wearing out. Most of them die from dry rot and old age vs no tread left. That's after they fixed the compound of course.

    I had a set of KO2s on my '05 Wrangler for at least 10 years. The only reason I changed them is because the sidewalls started to dry rot, eventually. I never took care of these tires. I never rotated them or anything. I beat the heck out of them. I replaced them with another set of KO2s. I just put A/T IIIs on my 2018 F150 though. I hsa only been a week, but so far I love them. The ride, the tire noise, and even breaking are much better. I feel more bonded to the road. I went with Toyo because I live in a cold climate now, and everything I can find says they outperformed the KO2s in the snow and ice. We'll see how it goes.

    You shouldn't have any problems with the Toyo's. I put about 60,000 miles a year on my truck and go through a lot of tires as well. I've run several sets of the BFG's that have lasted over 70k with good tread left on them but usually change them around that point just because the rubber gets hard or something and the truck starts riding rough on bumps. I now have a set of the Toyo AT3's on my F250 diesel with 27,000 miles on them and no complaints. I've run them from Florida to Washington state, North Dakota to Texas. I bought them for the 3 Peak rating as I'm the guy that usually gets sent to the northern jobs in the winter. I've run through a few snow storms including 1 through Colorado pulling my 13,000lb 5th wheel with no issues. Enjoy your Toyo's brother!

    Hey Charles. 103K miles on a set of tires is outstanding! My opinion is that the BFG KO2 is the nicest looking tire out there but definitely pricey. I had a set of Nitto Dura Grapplers (Load Range E) on my last Duramax and liked them a lot. They were more of a highway tire but still did well in the harsh winters we have here in Vermont. They rode well and were extremely quiet. Looking forward to your assessment of the Toyos.

      How’ve you liked the AT3’s so far? I’ve got about 35,000mi on my KO2’s so far and they are wearing great. I have Discount Tire rotate & balance them after I change the oil, or about every 7,500mi or so. They handle great, have performed well in all weather conditions and I love how they look, but I wouldn’t mind if they were a tad quieter at sub-highway speeds. They’re not obnoxious by any stretch, but that’s my only minor gripe.

    That is crazy mileage. I have 140k on my truck and I only pull a landscape trailer in the summer and I have 4 snow tires for the winter. I already changed out my summer tires with 50k on them and this will be the last year for my winters. The only time I rotate my tires is in the spring and fall when I'm changing from one season to the next. I read in one of your reply's that you also cross the tires when putting the fronts on the rear. I thought you weren't supposed to cross tires but you're are definitely doing it right. How many miles do you drive before you rotate your tires?

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад

      I try for 5k but i try not to go over 8k. All the interstate driving helps my milage too and i feel like the offset air pressure helps too. Truck says 65psi front and 75psi rear but i usually run 80 in rear in colder months. I don't feel like that's going to be typical. Even the tire guy checked the milage from last time because he couldn't believe it either. He said most he's seen it off a set of those it around 55k

    what PSI are you running, they do look full... not saying thats bad, but they look more inflated than my ko2s when i had them.

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад

      I run 65 in the front and 75 in rear. They're E rated and call for 80psi but truck calls for 65 and 75

    • @666dynomax
      @666dynomax 2 года назад +1

      @@CFarmer ahh gotcha. I run LT on all my pickups, I think the good wear might be relate to the higher psi.. i've always ran a higher psi going from P rated (say 35psi on door) to an LT (usually go 40/42) but that may not actually be high enough.... all my LT all terrain type tires always appear more flat across the tire profile than yours do in the video (obviously because of PSI)... i may push that up to 50. I generally tend to get some wear on the sides, but then again i'm more city than you.

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад

      I think the higher pressure helps too. I think when i rotate changing the pressure may help some too

      There was some with the bfgs but i noticed more with the toyos but it's not really fair for me to say because one of the toyos were defective (bad out of round).i had to take them off. Have michelin defenders on now

      So what would you say the quietest tires you ever had on the highway

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад

      The bfgs weren't bad at all but there was some noise but i caint hear the michelins at all or the goodyears that were on it when i bought it. As far as an all terrain I've only ran the bfg and toyo and the toyos were significantly more noise than the bfg.i would have bfg ko2s on here now if i could find a set

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад +3

      I run 65psi in the front and 80psi in the rear in the winter and 75 in the rear in the hotter months. When i rotate i just move the rears straight forward and cross the fronts to the rear swapping sides
