you guys will be wonderful grandpas lol..... deeply knowledgeable about nature, i am also buying a few acres of land in El Salvador this year and start a new journey in life. I grew up there but for the past few years I've been working in Asia and only then you realize how devastating it is for many human beings living in concrete jungles.
I think DMT is very common in plants, it's just a matter of concentration not necessarily being high enough to make extraction practical in most cases.
We have a variety of silverberries (autumn olives) that grow wild in northern Arkansas. I have made wine with a combination of them and wild opossum grapes. I have to say it was the best wine I have ever made. I am so jealous of all the fruit tasting, as I am a forager. This would be the closest to heaven for me.
What a vision. Just planning my own permaculture garden here in Colombia on a new piece of land I bought, and this gave me some great ideas on species to look into.... thanks Pete for bringing this to us!
Hi also in colombia and have a farm... Looking for some of these varieties currently. Maybe there's a collaboration to be had. There's some potential here in different plants i believe here in Colombia that has not been developed
@@eric_andrews 1300m , did you check that ' mind garden'. I'm looking for finger lime. Iyawasca would be interesting. And many other species The vine. That's maybe even here.
Hell yeah what a cool fella, love the magic plants. Really nice collection, would love to chew some leaves and chat to him. Durian, Terap, Ackee etc some of the most special fruits imo.
Really fascinating! My youngest went there after graduating for study and volunteer work. You are so lucky to have seen this. So lucky. Thanks for sharing and educating. 🌱🌺🌱
this really spoke to me I would seriously be interested in going there and doing volunteer work that would be a fantastic opportunity. sometimes we need to go to different Waters the flow of opportunity!
The Salvia use to be legal in Texas a few years back. It's some crazy stuff. For some reason, I would always go to smurf land. All the rainbow colors and giant mushrooms. It was definitely a trip for 10 or 15 minutes. I was surprised to not see any Papaver Somniferum in the sacred garden. If I had the resources of this old man I'd have hectares full of it.
We get bumper Silveryberry crops here in Canada. I was amazed to here they were from Indonesia and cope so well with winters. They even keep their leaves year round here on the West Coast.
Greetings from Thailand Pete. The stinky bean from Thailand is Parkia speciosa. Super popular in the South of the country. It's eaten raw with chili paste.
Amazing to watch such a tour, kudos to you. @20:23 Dhatura, it has black seed, I would recommend that do not eat or consume it, it would cause mental issues (Side-effects of Datura use include severe anxiety, heart palpitations, vomiting)and even death.
Boy Pete I think there's a lot of potential here for some of these varieties in Colombia, finger lime, iyawasco cultivated, probobly a lot more, Great inspiration to start planting, trying different thing..hey...main thing is have some fun along the way
That's amazing, all the different things he grows. I didn't know the comfrey would break the clay soil down either, it looks like he really has a ton of it, I'll have to try to work it into the garden areas and see what that will do. The Russian Bocking 14 comfrey will nearly make it all the way through the winter here without going dormant. Thanks Pete that was that was great,I learned something. I hope you really enjoy your trip down there, I know you really like it down there.
#WhatGrowinOnBaby - good to see the great work you're doing in bringing us this 20-acre #GardenOfEden plot in my FAV* country in the whole world (#CostaRica)!!! #BeBlessed big bruh & stay safe (you & the crew)!!!
He said the "Indians Indians", alludes to Suriname having a diverse racial makeup: East Indians(Hindustani), Amerindians (West Indians), Javanese, maroons, Chinese etc. He has some depth of knowledge there
Comfrey is a great support species, and dynamic nutrient accumulator. It is a highly nutritive chop & drop. Mines nutrients in the soil and makes them bioavailable for surrounding plants. As Tommy mentioned, it helps break down the clay soil, and it also shades the soil at the base of trees. Also a wonderful medicinal plant!
at last I finally see somthing that I have more of than you.. the Cork Oak.. ;9) we're in central portugal. I have thousands of em coming up like weeds everywhere..
Elaeagnus is extremely common when I grew up and is a terrible nuisance for landscaping if not kept in check. the ripe fruits are quite tasty but not worth harvesting because of pit to meat ratio, you get NOTHING from them but a taste. they are nice to grab a handful when mowing the lawn though.
One of the first things this man said was "i used to sell herbs" i knew this was going to be some good content lmao
Really enjoyed the nice long walk. It's heaven on Earth.

love the mind-altering drug garden - didnt know so many plants could contain dmt
I think DMT is very common in plants, it's just a matter of concentration not necessarily being high enough to make extraction practical in most cases.
Im pretty sure it is in every single plant. Including the grass in your front yard.
Nor me, and I thought myself as quite knowledgeable.
I like the RED finger limes. The ones I’ve seen before have white flesh inside. LOVE HIS FRUIT TREES 🌳

That pear shaped fruit is called pomerac or love apple in the Caribbean. It is usually red in colour.
OMG that place is just spectacular! Thanks for sharing Pete!! 🌱❤😊
This video was awesome. Having both tropical fruit and medicinal/herbal plants was the winner for me!

Just amazing! No wonder why they call it “the ark”!
So cool to see his medicinal plant collection; even though it needs time to grow, really cool.
The kind of videos I enjoy

He said the "Indians Indians", alludes to Suriname having a diverse racial makeup: East Indians(Hindustani), Amerindians (West Indians), Javanese, maroons, Chinese etc.
He has some depth of knowledge there
I think he was referring to Indians from India as to make sure people aren't thinking of the Native Americans which Americans keep calling "Indians"
@@mra6308Yeah exactly the Hindustani of Suriname were originally from India they came as indentured labourers and still retain their traditions
Amazing!
Nice job on the music edit!
Thanks! Mike really went overboard with these.
Loved the tour thank you Pete. What is the malabar nut called ??
What a treasure. Wow
thank for the good video

Pretty awesome.
Amazing content Pete, thank you

I’m sure there’s a tree in Costa Rica that can grow fast enough to shade the açaí over the next few years.
Pachira Aquatica...yes it grows in Suriname.
I'm in Florida. Have a 4' bonsai almost 16 years old. Hasn't bloomed yet 🤔

Is that comfrey around the base of all the fruit trees? Is there a purpose for it?
