brilliant! Just wonder whether it might help if the camera angle was adjusted slightly as some of the hand gestures are lost at the bottom of the screen. Also didn't see you signing 'Stop' or 'Where?' .
I've just watched this after finding out my son has hearing issues and thought the same thing. You couldn't see the signs so a bit of a pointless video 🤬🤬🤬
I really liked "wow" and I also use "yay!" a lot. For deaf and hard of hearing kids who are just learning LSL, after saying isolated vowels, I try to work on combining vowel sounds, and those two words are great.
Wish I found your channel a year ago. My son is 3 and only been told a couple of these in August, as well as colours. I've ended up doing loads of research for signs on vehicles (favourite things) and danger words; stop, look, listen, road, carefull. I can't seem to find slowdown though 🤔. Off for a snoop on the rest of your videos. Thanks 👍 ☺️
Thank you so much we just had our speech and language assessment and they suggested we use makaton and your video has helped it make so much sense and when to use it 🙌 so helpful!
I taught my baby, 'more' 'help' 'play' 'nappy changing time' the 'help' one is the most handy. Babies tend to fall a lot, lolz when i ask him, if he needs help, he'll either nod or shake his head to say no.
Hello! Makaton is different from sign language because it is intended to support spoken english. Sign languages for people with hearing difficulties have their own grammar etc and stand as their own language.
Came here for the signs so it was disappointing we don't see your hands for much of the video and we can't see the signs for many of the words you're focussing on. Lovely writing and pictures though!
Oh wow yes it can all be a lot to take in! You might like to sign up for a Makaton course online, so they can give you teach you each sign with plenty of time.
Its actually really useful, especially for beginners, to learn why its important to use signs and the benefits of using them. Thankyou for the explanations alongside the signing. Your videos are really encouraging :-)
Hi Precious. Depends which sign system you're following! There's a variety. Well worth chatting with the people around you so that you can make sure you're all using the same signs.

Ah yes, the wisdom of hindsight! Thanks for your feedback. I'm always working to improve how I produce these videos.
Exactly what I was going to say, can't see hand gestures because camera is focusing on face and didn't get signs for Stop and Where at all

Thanks for this I don't want to sound annoying but it would be great to see your hands when you say stop and where.
is makaton same as sign language for people with hearing difficulties?

Really good but 2 or 3 of the sighns you just can not see
Is it just me or why can we not actually see her hands doing the signs? I got more and where, what about the other 3?
It would be helpful to see your hands better.
