what happened to early 2000's six flags? Kingda Ka, El Toro, Tatsu, Nitro, Goliath, Titan, Medusa, Scream, Raging Bull, Superman Clones, Superman: ride of Steel. etc, like literally almost 5 new different coasters every year. Now This.
Just a note - While I get that some of these announcements may not be quite what people wanted, please at least consider giving the video a THUMBS UP for the fact that we at least put all the videos in one place in a nice neat package that's easy to view! It's not our fault if the announcement didn't live up to your expectations! We appreciate the support!

I mean, it depends on how you look at it. Those Justice League dark rides are VERY good rides and a welcome addition at all of those parks. The S&S Free Spin coaster is also a fun ride and a great addition. And the Frisbee flat rides are certainly better than the Larson Loops, aren't they? And seriously, Fiesta Texas' water ride looks super cool!

I am excited for the 4D free spins being added as the 4D experience will now be available to millions more park goers. I do question the length of Thunder Rapids at Fiesta, as it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as long as premier water coasters like Mammoth or Wildebeest at Holiday World.

Are you kidding?!!!? Do you have *ANY IDEA* how much it costs to do a unique graphic packages that includes logos, signs, printed material, licensing approvals, cut-outs, decals, themed elements, TV commercials, web & print advertising, etc, etc, etc.... The finance people probably *LOVE* the guy!!!

I'm glad magic mountain is finally having a family ride to attract more guests.
Personally, I am really glad my home park ( Magic Mountain) is getting the Justice League dark ride. MM has needed a major non-coaster edition for way too long, and I am pretty satisfied with it.
I don't get all the complaining. By the logic presented by most of the comments here, you all should be upset that the parks have all those Batman: The Ride clones. Or maybe some of them shouldn't have those B&M hypers. If I had to guess, I'd say that less than 1% of the people that go to Magic Mountain also go to Great Adventure that also go to Over Georgia.
I mean, also by that logic, Disney shouldn't build any more Space Mountains or Tower of Terror rides either, right? And where are the people bitching and moaning that they announced TWO Star Wars lands that are nearly identical? Or what about the fact that there are now THREE Wizarding World's of Harry Potter that are almost exactly the same. How DARE the parks CLONE these rides!!!! How DARE Disney keep using that Space Mountain name!!! Geez, I guess Disney has just run out of ideas...

Not sure if you missed what I read but it's pretty rare that someone living near Six Flags Over Georgia is also going to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain on a regular basis, if at all. Heck, I'd say it's even a small percentage of people who live near Six Flags Over Texas that visit Six Flags Fiesta Texas on a regular basis. So I'm not sure your point is exactly valid.

Revolution VR rides are terrible and are ruining roller coasters
People are too ungrateful if you ask me. I live in the UK and I would LOVE these sort of rides to come to UK parks. But thanks to lack of space and height restrictions we don't have owt like that

Six Flags has become so repetitive with their additions over the past few years. It's getting boring.
Well the theory is that they need to save money because they're building 2 brand new parks overseas (Dubai and China), so they're adding this, and I do believe that's the reason, so most likely when those parks are finished and open, the schedule will be back to normal, aka RMC's, flat ride packages, less clones, etc.
They are not building these parks, they've just licensed their name to be used.

I rode the Joker at Six Flags Great Adventure... It was sick, not as scary as it looks though. Sitting across from a friend is a must.
Worst year in a while for Six Flags. Guess it's time to commit to Cedar Fair for 2017.
Cedar fair isn't that great either so it's a loss-loss for everyone.
At lest every six flags park is getting something new for 2017...
Personally I think CF's lineup this year is worse. Except for Mystic Timbers, nothing too exciting from CF from what I've seen.

I was hoping for one of those at six flags magicmountain
All of the coasters in 2016 were named the joker, and its the exact same for 2017.
The only part getting something "original" is Fiesta Texas, that water coaster actually look really cool. But for the other parks is like; "You get a 4D Coaster, and you and you, EVERYONE GETS A 4D ROLLERCOASTER! Oh there's more parks? Well you get Justice League and you and you also you, and St. Louis fuck you, you get one flat ride. Six Flags at least rename and repaint the 4D coasters, at every park jeez.
Wait why are you mad at St. Louis? Like Spin sanity is a carnival ride though it is funny that the original ride for the year is that.
I'm not mad lol, but like every park got something "big" and St. Louis is neglected, like at least add a package of flat rides, like they did for Fiesta Texas, but no they just add 1 ride.
Yeah it sucks from one St. Louis to another I want a rollercoaster you know what I mean.
Yeah I know. They need a new coaster, but Fiesta Texas also needs a new coaster, and preferably a Wooden One that is super smooth like "El Toro". Cause our only wooden coaster "The Rattler", got transformed into "The Iron Rattler", so we dont have a wooden coaster now.
America & Chill yeah i actually went on the rattler when it was still The rattler it was pretty bumpy, but very fun
Cloned coasters are getting old...people like original designs that make parks unique.

Why does SFNE have to have a FREE FLY COASTER? You guys can do a LOT better!
Since it hasn't been shown, Medusa Steel Coaster is the coaster at SFM that is getting the VR
It shows it at 5:06 in the video.
It doesn't need it in all honesty, and will only increase the queue times but ok.
VR makes rides awful, there not even fun.

For anybody at parks getting the joker, wait until about 2 months to ride because in those first few weeks it is down a lot and has wait times over 2 hours. In a few weeks it will have a 20 minute wait :)
They should have RMCed Georgia Cyclone. Plus, I felt like they should have used the Total Mayhem name instead of the used Joker name
I think it is cool that SF is keeping things simple with smaller footprint attractions. The Justice League ride has received an excellent response and the Joker Coasters as well. I also like the push for thrilling flats at some of the parks. Sure, no record breaking hyer coasters, but still, new attractions. Six Flags has always been a brand that steps to the left of status quo. Even with "clones" they keep the standard consistent, which is to provide exciting adventures for the whole family. Major coasters will come again. Enjoy the innovations that make a day at Six Flags something memorable and unique.

The ride at 2:40 is at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and it's called Hurricane Force 5. They literally showed footage from the Fiesta Texas park, and showed it under a different name.
I live by Discover Kingdom, and the Lasso of truth ride is actually under construction as of today, Hope it's up and running by the summer!

Six Flags St Louis is at the bottom of Six Flags' Totem pole. That perpetuates the fact that it hasn't been getting better.
Yeah I know I wish we could get something amazing or just something standard not a carnival ride.
+Funfunpark It's a shame really. St Louis was the second park that opened as a part of the Six Flags chain. It's my home park and it used to be so much nicer. What the park needs is at least a coaster that isn't a clone and that would draw in more people because tons of people live in or around the STL area. Give them a new steel hyper or an RMC Boss and I think it could work, unfortunately it might never happen.

Actually SFStl was the third (and last) park to open, built from the ground up as a Six Flags. It was called SF Over Mid America originally. The first two are SF Over Texas 1961, SF Over Georgia in 1967. Interestingly these original parks are the ones most often skipped over for new coasters. (At least Texas is getting a S&S next year, their first coaster addition since 2011.)
I can't wait for the 4D coaster at Six Flags Great America. It will be so fun. I've already been on every coaster there, and I've been waiting for a new one.

Why can't they make a ride with Catwoman, and you have to enter kitty shaped seats, and you think it's gonna be a kid ride but then it's the most horrifying yet exciting experiences you went on. Like Nitro on steroids.

Well that was underwhelming after so many RMC conversions in years past. VR for Medusa Steel Coaster is a particularly odd choice. The flats and Justice League rides should all be solid additions to their respective parks, but the S&S free fly are more a gimmick than a coaster. It's a very brief ride, but after the first couple of inversions the novelty is already gone and nothing new is delivered. Hopefully since they're inexpensive more major coasters will be on the horizon for 2018.
