it is about the same size as the original colossus basically, ofc they changed it a lot but it is in the same big area and the original colossus had about the same ride time.
4 of those looping coaster carnival rides? Really? It seems that both Cedar Fair and Six Flags are hell bent on making all of their parks generic and the same.
LOL...Johnwash it's an old classic ride from the 70's called the superloops..it was a big hit in the 70's and 80's even still is this day a few fairs carry them but they now call them the ring of fire. But it will always be the superloops.
I'm Kinda glad that Cyclone & Colossus aren't being completely torn up & forgotten, but are receiving Slight Renovations & are being modified. Sure, I loved Cyclone the way it was. I've been going to Sixflags New England for years & I have worked there for the past 3 years, the Idea of a new Rollercoaster sounds great, just wish Cyclone didn't get put on the proverbial "Chopping Block". As for Colossus, I've never visited the Park where it was built, so I never got the chance to see how fun it is. The Preview for Twisted Colossus looks pretty cool though, all I thought of as I watched it was the Song "Gemini" from Guitar Hero 2.
well we used to have a Psyclone here at MM and idk about yours but ours...well...if you ever wanted to experience what it feels like to get into a car crash without the insurance claims that was your ride. ours was a very painful coaster
loving how you ride both tracks (blue/green) from the same train car on twisted colossus. 4 minutes of ride time? that's pretty beastly. definitely renewing my SF season pass.
I'm guessing you're talking about a local fair because the Georgia Nation Fair in perry only has the fireball, which is the same thing but different names.
I can't help but chuckle at the fact that all the footage of those "Roller Coasters" (Meteorites) that they're all showing is from Elitch Gardens in Denver Colorado, my hometown amusement park :)
I'm so Happy that Magic Mountain is keeping the original name Colossus but now it's Twisted Colossus.I will be riding this ride when it opens next year!
Woo! Milk that Fiesta Texas love! Looks like I have another contender for favorite coaster. Iron Rattler, Superman: Krypton Coaster, and now Batman the Ride!
The looping ride it shows for all the different locations is at Elitch Gardens here in Denver. Kinda funny considering Elitch Gardens was once a Six Flags park.
Wait, isn't that white roller coaster with the steel tracks the one that caught on fire? Well, it was getting revisions anyways, and it didn't burn down THAT bad... I guess they can still replace the hill that collapsed.
haunted house your six flags is lucky man i wish we had our haunted house back called the horror cave it was always pack in the summer time because it was cold inside and spooky as fuck.great times i miss em
We got a new ride at my local theme park. It's the green 7 story 360 degree turn thing. It's called the Rolling Thunder because of the noises it makes lol. And a new water ride that the floor drop underneath you
The Joker Wheel of Chaos The Spinning Dragon The Circle of Doom GoliathO Batman The Loop You Can't Spell Loop Without O You Can't Spell Circle Without O...Wait Yes You Can But Here's One Anyway The "O"MG Coaster The "O"ld McDonald Had A Farm Loop of Death Coaster Dare Devil Dove Dove Devil DiveO Dive Into CheeriOs Game of O's Superman vs BizzarO Superman vs LionO LionO Lord of The ThunderO's The O Comes Before P Coaster The Wizard of O's Circle KO -
so very awesome gonna have to check those out & ride..I so like going to six flags with my best friend & 2 adopted daughter's,,,, when in 2015 are these rides due to be open?
they can set up those looping rides in a day, i have a fair at my school and we have a ride just like those called Mega Loop, last year they started setting up the rides the day before the fair started and when i went the next day the ride was all set
So did six flags have a meeting to draw straws? some of the six flags will get awesome record breaking coasters... while the others get a looping "coaster" wtf.
There must've been a big sale on crap looping rides. At least the marketing folks (or whoever names the rides) earned their money coming up with 4 different names for the same thing.
I swear, since Six Flags are calling these looping rides "coasters" (which they OBVIOUSLY aren't), they better not say "well they got a coaster this year so we can wait 3-5 more years to get a new one!) Great Adventure needs a new coaster. We haven't gotten one since 2011, and I didn't like Green Lantern because it hurt my legs.
***** Yeah, the only reason I don't like Green Lantern is because it hurts my legs. The layout of the track is really good though, shame it isn't a sit down coaster. Yeah, all bullshit...
***** Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Although I don't really mind colors much. They kinda needs maybe a yellow or blue coaster in that area. But again, it's Green Lantern, so the coaster has to be green, lol.
Compared to magic mountains other rides, this one isn't as thrilling. Plus colossus has been around for 36 years and everyone thought that it was going to be taken down. This video shows that it isn't going anywhere.
Xcellorator on the one hand it makes me happy, on the other I'd rather they simply reinforced and rebuilt it as it was maybe with the steel topper coaster, because as it was, was perfect. best damn wooden ever and I think I might be too chicken to go on a wooden with inversions like Outlaw Run ^_^' plus think about how rough it'd get with that kinda stress. ouch
Xcellorator yes but all I'm saying is most wooden coasters seem to get rougher faster especially as they age and with the stress of inversions? besides outlaw run is still pretty new so there's no telling how rough or smooth it will be as the years go by. still I hope your right. :)
I think that Six Flags Over Georgia need to get rid of either The Ninja, The Great American Scream Machine or The Georgia Cyclone and build one of the newly designed wooden roller coasters. Now that would be amazing!
De'Lisa Hollis oops my bad. I was thinking of the GASM steel coaster that used to be at Six Flags Great Adventure. I had no idea there was a wooden coaster with the same name.
In the original reveal video, I cracked up every time they had to describe the Larson Super-Loop "coaster" (it's really a thrill ride). Honestly, "Face to face upside down... It's a maniacal circle of sreams... A massive 7-story wheel of steel..."
I can tell you for a fact that the footage of those loop things was taken from the amusement park I work at; Elitch Gardens in downtown Denver. Not even Six Flags.
At least Cyclone looks like a long enough ride to justify the wait in line. Too often these RMC refurbs are under a minute of post chain lift ride time. Collosus looks to be as well.
"Colossus, one of America's most iconic and beloved wooden roller coasters." ~ Six Flags CEO from announcement video... *Tears down ride to then give it RMC treatment*
My Six Flags is Great Adventure and I gotta say I'm very jealous of that 3D Justice League laser blast thing but I am praying that Flaming Dragon or what ever tops that it sounds amazing base of its facts so far and I cant wait for it.
Cant wait! I just went to six flags on thanksgiving 2014. They have the worlds fastest rollercoaster and I went on it. Can't wait until we go next year! Btw the fastest rollercoaster is Full Throttle. Lol can't wait :) I'm 11 Lol it was my first time going. If u haven't gone beware for some scary stuff >:D lol but some of them are fun not scary the long lines are worth the wait :)
Please bring back Astroworld! i miss it dearly =( btw these are nice rides :) but still i hope they bring back Astroworld or even a new Six Flags in Houston
ok does that mean we're getting an upgraded Colossus? The new Psyclone looks cool and SF Texas looks like they're getting an X2 of their own, Looping Dragon is the old carney ride Ring of Fire, I haven't seen one of those at a Fair in years aww I wish we'd gotten the Sky Screamer :( Ooh! The laser one looks like fun!
Rocky Mountain Construction allowed the emergence of the modern inverted wooden roller coaster, thanks to their custom track type. I know that there were inversions in previous wooden roller coasters, like the closed Son of Beast, but now there is a standardized type it looks like. Seeing Colossus and Cyclone being transformed by RMC with inversions using the new track type, similar to the Texas Giant, The Rattler, and Medusa transformations, makes me wonder what other hard-to-maintain Six Flags wooden roller coasters will be getting the RMC transformation. There were a few roller coasters RMC was involved with that didn't get transformed but rather renovated which were originally constructed by now defunct companies, like Georgia Cyclone.
Yeah if you're talking about 2015 being a record-breaking year, you're talking about Cedar Fair. Rougarou is the first floorless coaster with an inclined loop and Fury 325, well I don't have to go into detail if you know it.
That first ride is really cool, almost 4 minutes of ride time? Finally a ride where it's worth to wait in line for!
I thinks it four minutes in total so u only get one side of that per ride. 2 minutes then. maybe im confused though
Johnwash12 Take a closer look at the ride. You go around both tracks.
John, you go on both sides of the ride. That's why it is so long in length and takes 4 minutes
Johnwash12 No one side turns into the other side later on so it is a full 4 minute... ikr freaking innovative
it is about the same size as the original colossus basically, ofc they changed it a lot but it is in the same big area and the original colossus had about the same ride time.
I was crying on the twisted colossus announcement
4 of those looping coaster carnival rides? Really? It seems that both Cedar Fair and Six Flags are hell bent on making all of their parks generic and the same.
a big ole circle. wow, that's intense
Don't knock it until you try it.
Haven't you ever rode Space Mountian?
LOL...Johnwash it's an old classic ride from the 70's called the superloops..it was a big hit in the 70's and 80's even still is this day a few fairs carry them but they now call them the ring of fire. But it will always be the superloops.
Randall Pope Yeah, the Topsfield Fair in MA this year had it, and it's pretty awesome!
*****
i stop riding them at the fair and carnivals because they looked cracked out...they needed rehab Lol
Aww yeah New England gets better every year. Can't wait to go in June.
I'm Kinda glad that Cyclone & Colossus aren't being completely torn up & forgotten, but are receiving Slight Renovations & are being modified. Sure, I loved Cyclone the way it was. I've been going to Sixflags New England for years & I have worked there for the past 3 years, the Idea of a new Rollercoaster sounds great, just wish Cyclone didn't get put on the proverbial "Chopping Block". loving how you ride both tracks (blue/green) from the same train car on twisted colossus. 4 minutes of ride time? that's pretty beastly. definitely renewing my SF season pass.
Holy shit that switch from blue track to green track but still on the ride is so innovative.... WOW im VERY IMPRESSED
the "looping dragon" has been done before. there was one at the fair in goergia that i went to last friday. come on six flags.
I'm guessing you're talking about a local fair because the Georgia Nation Fair in perry only has the fireball, which is the same thing but different names.
SweetHeart PopTart no it was at my local fair near in cobb county but i went to the one in perry too but it was an older model i think
Oh alright, and the one in perry is vey old, The seat belts always break. I never get on it anymore because of that, rather live than die
So pumped for twisted colossus I live about an hour away from magic mountain ! :D
Me too!!! I can't wait for it
The new Batman 4D coaster set for San Antonio is sure to have kids (and adults) puking from all angles. They should provide raincoats.
i was waiting for this all day!
Oh and the logo for the Justice League dark ride is so cool!
They will have to put a net between the two coasters on those inversions.
I don't understand the term "7 stories"...
Same with wicked cyclone
I wish six flags can come to England
It is already in england
Tom Peters Six Flags New England isn't actually in England
I wish in Philippines 🌠
don't you have like 2 big ones there? alton towers and thorpe park?
Freekyeight Yes I went to both but doesn't look fun when you compare to six flags
Woo! Milk that Fiesta Texas love! Looks like I have another contender for favorite coaster. Iron Rattler, Superman: Krypton Coaster, and now Batman the Ride!
Every one of those rides look awesome!
SFNE and SFMM are getting actual good announcements for once
Lol Wonder Women Flight of Courage joined the SFMM team
lol
Looks great, going there for the first time on Saturday, their opening weekend
These rides LOOK so FREAKIN FUN
OMG I'm going there on Saturday I'm so excited!
The Goliath one at Magic Mountain is like the Titan at Six Flags Over Texas!
They're both from the same company. They're actually nicknamed "sister coasters"
That's it for La Ronde?! A freaking haunted house? Really Six Flags?
I could not agree more.. I use to go to la ronnde often now it's becoming dry
haunted house your six flags is lucky man i wish we had our haunted house back called the horror cave it was always pack in the summer time because it was cold inside and spooky as fuck.great times i miss em
I'm so excited for next year's line up!!! :D
I'm LOL'ing at the looping coasters, pretty sure those are standard county fair type rides XD
I wonder how you guys will film the Batman ride, LOL
We got a new ride at my local theme park. It's the green 7 story 360 degree turn thing. It's called the Rolling Thunder because of the noises it makes lol. And a new water ride that the floor drop underneath you
bonzai
Even roller coaster tycoon 3 is ahead of these guys! ;)
Six Flags is running out of ideas.
They just changed names to that circle ride
The Joker Wheel of Chaos The Spinning Dragon The Circle of Doom GoliathO Batman The Loop You Can't Spell Loop Without O You Can't Spell Circle Without O...Wait Yes You Can But Here's One Anyway The "O"MG Coaster The "O"ld McDonald Had A Farm Loop of Death Coaster Dare Devil Dove Dove Devil DiveO Dive Into CheeriOs Game of O's Superman vs BizzarO Superman vs LionO LionO Lord of The ThunderO's The O Comes Before P Coaster The Wizard of O's Circle KO -
Jay Starr thx for the list
It's sad that 3 parks get the Exact Same Thing!
4 of the same thing
My Anaconda dont
The Batman one looks kinda like the green lantern ride at Magic Mountain
Ur right
Leonel Barajas Batman has much better restraints. Green Lantern is the most painful ride on your shoulders, but Batman I heard is a lot better.
Leonel Barajas Batman is a combination of Green Lantern (Track Design) and X2 (4th Dimension). Batman is better than Green Lantern, but X2 beats both
Batman ride been out for years
Tanner Bean Batman at Fiesta Texas, not all the inverted roller coasters
Six Flags Fiesta Texas, can't wait for the new ride
It's about time New England got another awesome Coaster.
so very awesome gonna have to check those out & ride..I so like going to six flags with my best friend & 2 adopted daughter's,,,, when in 2015 are these rides due to be open?
holy cow! 4 minutes of ride... lines are gonna be eternal
I cant wait for the new Batman ride here in San Antonio. Looks pretty cool.
For all of you wondering. The beginning music at 0:01 is a legend from wwe. the name is "Ricky Steamboat theme song wwf"
Wow this year’s announcement was even better then the ones we have today
Ikr
Dang. Fireballs be making a comeback.
that batman one looks like a blast!
Looks sick!
they can set up those looping rides in a day, i have a fair at my school and we have a ride just like those called Mega Loop, last year they started setting up the rides the day before the fair started and when i went the next day the ride was all set
Can't wait!
Woah the coaster replacing colossus looks sweet
forever wishing that those were the graphics for the new roller coaster tycoon
YASSSSSS
I have roller coaster tycoon one and gold!
So did six flags have a meeting to draw straws? some of the six flags will get awesome record breaking coasters... while the others get a looping "coaster" wtf.
Twisted colossus is a sick idea, kind of like a double ride
Twisted Colossus looks the best!
Twisted Colossus looks amazing!!!
cant wait to ride wicked cyclone :D
This is gonna be awesome🎉
There must've been a big sale on crap looping rides. At least the marketing folks (or whoever names the rides) earned their money coming up with 4 different names for the same thing.
buy two, get two free deal.
That orange coaster went straight into the ground at 2:26 lmao
Thus looks awesome I will be riding both
What exactly makes that batman ride 4d
Flipping
If you haven't noticed sometimes Six Flags lies about their records.
Looping dragon, joker and fireball, isnt the same ride??
Yes they are it sucks!!!
Yes it's the same ride, but they will be in different places so they each have different names.
You forgot daredevil lol adding them up to 4
I swear, since Six Flags are calling these looping rides "coasters" (which they OBVIOUSLY aren't), they better not say "well they got a coaster this year so we can wait 3-5 more years to get a new one!) Great Adventure needs a new coaster. We haven't gotten one since 2011, and I didn't like Green Lantern because it hurt my legs.

***** Lmao! Same here... they really need to work on their colors, but then again like I said, I don't mind colors too much.
Can't wait for it
Yea... I'm sure when you acually go on that first coaster I don't think it will be all happy super friendly coaster like they are showing us
Compared to magic mountains other rides, this one isn't as thrilling. Plus colossus has been around for 36 years and everyone thought that it was going to be taken down. This video shows that it isn't going anywhere.
Xcellorator Colossus has been taken down this one isn't the same its colossus baby
Xcellorator on the one hand it makes me happy, on the other I'd rather they simply reinforced and rebuilt it as it was maybe with the steel topper coaster, because as it was, was perfect. best damn wooden ever and I think I might be too chicken to go on a wooden with inversions like Outlaw Run ^_^' plus think about how rough it'd get with that kinda stress. ouch
bezoticallyyours83 actually RMC's are known for making smooth rides
Xcellorator yes but all I'm saying is most wooden coasters seem to get rougher faster especially as they age and with the stress of inversions? besides outlaw run is still pretty new so there's no telling how rough or smooth it will be as the years go by. still I hope your right. :)
I think that Six Flags Over Georgia need to get rid of either The Ninja, The Great American Scream Machine or The Georgia Cyclone and build one of the newly designed wooden roller coasters. Now that would be amazing!
Great American Scream Machine has been taken down many years ago. Where have you been?
TheSlickkEffect it is still there. I went last year... where have YOU been?????
De'Lisa Hollis which one are you talking about? I'm taking about the Arrow coaster
TheSlickkEffect which park r u talking about?
De'Lisa Hollis oops my bad. I was thinking of the GASM steel coaster that used to be at Six Flags Great Adventure. I had no idea there was a wooden coaster with the same name.
Also I prefer it when you guys are actually talking for the First Person View instead of you guys being quiet.
Not even Six Flags.
my favorite rides are loop rides, and colossus, So for them to come together is like....WOW
*Tears
down ride to then give it RMC treatment*
My Six Flags is Great Adventure and I gotta say I'm very jealous of that 3D Justice League laser blast thing but I am praying that Flaming Dragon or what ever tops that it sounds amazing base of its facts so far and I cant wait for it.

The looping dragon introduction looks like a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
Is it coming to Magic Mountain in Southern California??? Looks fantastic!
That was so COOOOL i wanna try the Twwisted thingy
Dare devil+looping dragon+bourbon street fireball+Joker= SAME THING!
Can't wait till twisted colossus comes out!
I wonder if Six Flags will ever... LIKE EVER... add a strata Coaster to Magic Mountain's lineup.
Forget strata coasters, Magic Mountain needs a GIGA coaster.
+Ben Justice I agree. That would be amazing.
I've never seen rides like the one at 6:39 in amusement parks Before! Only at traveling fun fairs. Cool!:)
Please bring back Astroworld! i miss it dearly =( btw these are nice rides :) but still i hope they bring back Astroworld or even a new Six Flags in Houston
ok does that mean we're getting an upgraded Colossus?
The new Psyclone looks cool and
SF Texas looks like they're getting an X2 of their own,
Looping Dragon is the old carney ride Ring of Fire, I haven't seen one of those at a Fair in years
aww I wish we'd gotten the Sky Screamer :(
Ooh! The laser one looks like fun!
all the hype for each single one of those larson loop rides makes me crack up, if a park is due for a coaster, this is a great excuse.
I'm so stoked SO STOKED 😝😝😏✌️
You hear people screaming.
While i hear myself laughing in the back ground.
Six Flags sure knows how to rehash the same ride 4 times.
so they're building that looping thing pretty much everywhere
Rocky Mountain Construction allowed the emergence of the modern inverted wooden roller coaster, thanks to their custom track type. I know that there were inversions in previous wooden roller coasters, like the closed Son of Beast, but now there is a standardized type it looks like. Seeing Colossus and Cyclone being transformed by RMC with inversions using the new track type, similar to the Texas Giant, The Rattler, and Medusa transformations, makes me wonder what other hard-to-maintain Six Flags wooden roller coasters will be getting the RMC transformation. Who's manufacturing those Fireball looping rides?
Sierra, a smaller ride manufacturing company
Chris Graslie Isn't it Larson? The model is on their website.
idk whoever manufactures them for carnivals, they'll probably be safer though. :D
Those looping carnival rides are NOT ROLLER COASTERS
man these are taking over six flags parks! wooden steel
Now I see why they removed the track for collosos but not remove the side track
why is six flags putting up CARNIVAL RIDES????
The first ride is the ride of friendship
Eh I get giving Great Adventure the Looping Dragon. We just had a world record breaking ride installed this season.
To be honest I'm excited for what Great Adventure got (its my home park) but the ride can literally open next month lmao.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They went cheap this year with those looping rides. Record year my ass.
Yep..Those parks got gipped big time. Looks like they got a discount! Four for the price of one..I'm glad I live in Cali.
Yeah if you're talking about 2015 being a record-breaking year, you're talking about Cedar Fair. Rougarou is the first floorless coaster with an inclined loop and Fury 325, well I don't have to go into detail if you know it.
"First ever hybrid high five" I'm almost 100% sure this is not true, there is already a hybrid wooden coaster that has this
Are you sure it's a hybrid? The only hybrid racing coasters are colossus and Gemini. And Gemini doesn't have that element.
I am going next Saturday, YAH BABY!
