I have a P10C and I can press check mine all day long without any problems. It is apparent you got a lemon unfortunately. Great to have two very experienced shooters with real world experience reviewing guns. A big thank you both for your service to our country, very much appreciated. May God bless the rest of your lives.
Thank you for this comment. I was literally just about to buy one I saw for a fantastic price and after this video, I had reservations. Good to know this malfunction is certainly not the norm. I nearly emailed the link to this video to CZ asking them to address it.
Ya that’s definitely a lemon.
I’ve put 5000 rounds in mine so far. Absolutely no issues with press checks, slide locks, and feeding the first round of a mag
J Strel agree! These guys are idiots. Everyone check out t.rex arms for a real gun channel and 2a community
Jonathan Hart Jon these dudes have been in the shit I think they know what they’re talking about lol... if you’re being sarcastic, sorry I’m slow 😂
@@jon4827 I like both. The guy even admitted "this might be a lemon".
@@jon4827 LOL...!!!
Love my p10c. Great tool!!!
I have the P-10C and P-10F, each with more than 6,000 rounds through them. Never had a problem press checking. Never had a failure to feed, extract or lockup of any kind. I've shot steel case ammo, truncated ammo, hollow point, flex tips, and FMJ with everything from 115 to 147 grain and plus P ammo. Not sure why your's didn't function properly, but all 4 CZs I own have functioned absolutely flawlessly with zero malfunctions. Glocks have earned a reputation for being Uber-reliable, but I have seen them fail right out of the box and have catastrophic failures during competition. No guns are immune to issues and even the CZs I have will likely malfunction at some point. But so far, so good. I do find the CZs point more naturally for me than Glocks. But that's just me. Thanks for the review. DE OPRESSO LIBER
Agreed, both of my CZs have been nothing but flawless.
I had this happen to me after 250 rounds at the range with my P10C. After careful inspection, the second to last roll pin had walked out a little, preventing the slide to function. I emailed CZ concerning the malfunction and they said to sent it back to CZ for repair. It took 6 weeks to get it back from them. I’m pleased to report that after running approximately 800 rounds since repair I have had no malfunction of any kind.👍
any updates after 4 years on your p10C's reliability?
@@drepop803 Happy to report, still running great 👍
Holy shit... That dude on the left with the flannel looks HAWWWWT! 😂 Pleasure working with you brother.
I've never met Shawn but if a girl offered me to take her home and smash with only 1 condition, that being I'd have to find a buddy to fuck her...I'd definitely call Shawn.
Can't wait for this episode bro !
On a side note I know your ass has got to have some crazy South America stories I hope you can elaborate on in future videos
Pleasure working with you!
@@simpleman7516@@simpleman7516 I'm not sure how to take that... haha 🤣
@vigilanceelite have you ever shot a Canik? There trigger reset is similar.
Yea thats def a lemon, I have an early C2 P10C few thousand rounds no issues press checking or that weird slide forwarding issue...
3k+ rounds through my P10C and never a single issue. I’ve used for EDC, local competition and nightstand with full confidence. I love my Glocks but this model has advantages that puts it to the top from a performance standpoint. Good video, glad I found your feed.
You fellas REALLY need to revisit this gun after reaching out to CZ. You obviously got a rare lemon and this review does not do this gun justice.
I agree
Buy a Glock 19 and don’t worry about lemons.
@@connorconnor1477 if Glock never made a lemon, why can you buy a factory rebuilt Glock? 🤔
🇺🇸👌❤️👍💋🇮🇱
@@connorconnor1477every Glock Ive owned has had a considerable break in period full of jams and malfunctions
Please revisit this gun. I'd like to hear your thoughts on a properly functioning CZ P10c & the P07.
I really enjoy both of those pistols.
Awesome seeing two former SEALs collab with their channels. It's be great to see you guys collab with other weapons channels like #ForgottenWeapons and review equipment you guys used or are fond of.
Check out Shawn's 1st episode with Mike Glover. One of the best interviews I've ever heard.
My CZ P10C was one of the first ones made and works great. You can press check it all day long. I do have a problem with the ambidextrous slide stop. It’s stiff to use, but it works. The trigger is awesome. You probably have a lemon.
These two 'SEALs' are both lemons themselves.
You’re awesome Travis! Thank you for collabing with Shawn on this! Very cool too see! Keep up the great work!
Just tried one today and I could press check no problem.
If you send it back to CZ to have them look at it, please give us an update.

@@jdhrdmn0153 🧐
@@jdhrdmn0153 what?
I had the same malfunction. Had to send it back to the factory and it never happened again. I believe it was a problem with early models.
I've fired a couple of thousand rounds since and no problems.
It's the spring. I had the same problem. The stick spring is crap. I replaced it and quit having probs. Recently upgraded to DPM so I'll never have to worry about the crappy oem spring again.
This video was brought to you by glock.... can't press check? Navy seals? Good day....
I love this gun! I've put many rounds through it, and have used it in many training classes. Never a malfunction. Even simulating malfunctions, have been able to tap and rack, with no problem. Great video, though!
I can't wait for all of you to see this, a review for the books.
TEAMS
I tried to upload a video of my P10 c it does indeed press check. You guys got a bad gun! I'm going to start checking out your videos I'm glad I saw this so I could check out your defensive videos.
@Kennedy Defensive Shooting Is the P10C you guys were running made in Kansas City or the Czech Republic?
I have no issues press checking with my p10. Also no issues clearing the round after dropping mag. Might be a lemon
good review saved a few of us some money
No model CZ is manufactured KC.
HQ is there for distribution.
Eventually will be a plant in Little Rock though.
The “laidbackedness” makes me laugh my ass off. Great video.
Really like this format of you two casually shooting together and talking through impressions.
WTF is this? Did Glock pay u some money for this review?
I was saying the same thing look like a paid announcement
Absolutely....🤔 Paid and bought for...Glock has to pay to stay in the lead....🧐
I don’t think Glock needs the money... Lol. CZ’s are fine.
All these two guys have is their reputation. CZ either had a manufacturing issue or a design defect in this firearm.
@@lgaray78 Nah, just a lemon. Unfortunate coincidence for CZ.
One thing you can not avoid with 2 Navy Seals reviewing a gun is they were low key having a competition on who can stay on target with their shots. You guys are kick ass 🤙
Gotta be a lemon my dudes. Mine press checks like a dream, zero malfunctions so far.
Same here with bout 4k
Love my two P10Cs amd P10F. I have at least 500 rounds through each with zero issues. All were built in The Czech Republic. The first gen I have yes the slide release was stiff as hell, but has become easier with time. It has a threaded barrel and suppressor height sights. That is my home defense pistol. I have another P10C that I carry. It’s pretty plain Jane, which is perfect for edc. That is my second gen. I have a P10F as well. No issues with any of them. I’m sure you all know better than me that there are a number of reasons why you had the malfunction. No jams, malfunctions, or other issues with mine. I can see why you passed on it, but I think it’s fair to revisit it. I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Great channel!
How many SEALs does it take to clear a jam?
Perhaps we should call out the Rangers to help the SEALs clear that malfunction. :)
@@mdx9286 Wouldn't have been the first time Rangers have had to help SEALs out of a jam! haha RLTW
dimitry ayrapetov I think it’s the way they hold the gun. It’s too tight.
@@OperativeKANE seals took out bin laden though :)
A bunch!
Cz p10 c does indeed press check boys there is something wrong with the one you got! Love the show!!
Thinkin the same thing
I know what a press check is but how is this particular model p10c not capable of press checking? It’s just a matter of checking to see if a bullet is in the chamber without ejecting it right? So how does a functional striker fired pistol not allow you to do that?
Yup. Just have to press a bit further I guess. PLUS, that jam at the end is easy to clear. Grip left hand on top of slide rear serrations as tight as you can and then basically hit the back of the grip with the webbing of your right hand, as hard as you can without dropping it. Should get the slide to come back and then you can clear it. That has actually happened with my gen5 Glock 17. Never had a jam in my CZ! I use good ammo tho.
I was thinking the same thing someone must have broken that Cz I’ve owned mine and never had a problem with press check or tap rack or slide lock
You can press check. And I’ve never had an issue with mine. As for your slide lock. Believe your thumb pressed it down
On the older versions of this the back plate was faulty and would slide down. This has since been corrected. Might be an early model.
I absolutely love your content, and you and Shawn are awesome... but that moment at 12:10 with two former Seals looking at a weapon, and thinking, "I don't understand..." is priceless.
Just a lemon. I’m 3k or more rounds in my gun and that never happened. I’ve yet to have a single malfunction with mine
This was a great review and I cannot blame anyone for never buying one of these ever after watching it. However I have had mine for a couple of years and never had such a problem with the round not going into battery and I can press check as well. I believe that since, not only is this a new model for CZ, it is their first striker fired model there may be a problem with some serial numbers having this issue. And I do believe that the press check issue and the slide jam issue are interrelated.
As far as the mag release mine has broken in to be much easier and of course it is breeze with an empty mag.
Again, I cannot blame anyone for never buying a P10 C but I am a big CZ fan and one of the main reasons I got it was because it was their first striker fire pistol and as such has collectible value.
And again, great review.
Travis is a great instructor. Only wish I could get him on the calendar again. Awesome experience.
I’ve been watching fun reviews all week. You’re the best by far
12:20 Awesome two Navy Seals looking at a F’ed up Gun like ahhh “what do we do with this thing”! Was waiting for you to Chuck it in the woods.
Thought he was gonna throw it in river.
I would wanna see follow up video on slide issue.
Love the channel travis, Thank you for your service. Id like to see a video on what you run on your range belt/ what pistol drills do you use consistently to keep your skills up to par
Great review! Good to see those issues before getting the itch to buy something new.
Shot at the 50 like it was nothing. Pretty badass honestly. Curious what the size of the steel target was because you guys made that look easy. As for the catastrophic failure you experienced I wonder if it was the striker issue the p10c was experiencing when they first released. I haven't experienced it with mine, but I got the updated version which can be identified by the notch at the 3 o clock on the back plate. I am also able to do a press check on mine which was odd to see you guys weren't able too. Either way, great content!
Yeah same, I don't know why they were having so many issues with theirs, unless it was a lowkey attempt to try and make their Glock fan status that much more prominent.
Love the intro music LOL, reminds me of watching officers Jon and Ponch from Chips in 80's 😂😂😂
They needed sad violins towards the end.
Thank you both for your service! It was def a lemon, i have several thousands through mine, it press checks great actually! This is a great example of real life shit though, drill, drill, drill, prove your load out worthy!!
I'm frankly surprised these Navy SEALs didn't recognize an ammunition related stoppage or know how to quickly clear one without a steel target. And I have zero problem press checking my P10c.
It’s gotta be a lemon because mine functions exactly like my Glock 19 and even better too.
Rookie shooters fo sho
Don’t get butt hurt it’s all preference baby girl
Agreed. I can press check no issue, and my slide locks. For a >$400 pistol, you cannot beat it.
Love my P-10C. Great trigger (better than a stock Glock trigger, imo), and like Sean says, the reset is downright excellent. And there's no contest when it comes to the ergos. I haven't experienced any issues with the mag release at all. On mine, it's super positive and it doesn't just release the mags - it launches them. Mine slide locks every time, with every CZ mag I have - seemed pretty clear in the vid that the failures to slide lock were used-induced. Also, the P-10 has an LCI on the extractor that offers both a visual confirmation in daylight, and a tactile confirmation in low light, so I don't understand why the ability to 'press check' would be so important. Regardless, you can definitely 'press check' a P-10C. This vid was just downright bizarre.
I completely agree with you I think they got a a gun with some issues right out of the box but I EDC my p10c and have never had a problem like this my slide catch works every time and never had an issue with press checking
Thank you for your service boys ! stay safe out there
Thank you so much for that review. You saved me the trouble buy the gun.
I have never had my p10c not chamber a round from slide lock. There are some inconsistencies but I recommend it. It’s what I learned to shoot on.
I have an early edition and it was almost impossible to drop the slide with the slide lock. Mine has never slammed shut while inserting a mag. I can press check without any issues. Wonder if newer production guns have changed. For what it’s worth mine seems to get better with time. Love it. Well over 5k rounds. I hope you guys get it fixed or a new one. These guns rocks. Feels great. Shoots great and carry’s great. Would love to see you guys run it through it paces. I think with a good one you’ll love it.
I was looking at CZs but settled on the S&W M&P 2.0 .45 and after watching this I’m glad I did.
"These mags are metal, Glock gets...plastic.." in such a dissapointment tone hahaha I love it :D
Maybe do a follow-up review using an updated version of the CZ P10c that has all the issues fixed...because that's what CZ does: listens to their patrons...unlike Glock.
@Misanthropy in HD
LMAO.
I definitely caught the sarcasm
I have a czp10c I have no problem Peres Checking it I have no idea what these two guys are talking about
I have to full size version and have no problems press checking.
Love the video though guys keep it up.
Love the channel great vid thx brother
Please do the cz p10c review again, but this time without getting paid by glock, thank you kindly
The new p10c (the one with the slide cut) fixes the slide release stiffness and magazine release stiffness
I have the earliest model... Smoother than these clowns
@@MrJasonmilk80 clowns? 2 seals with more experience then anyone in the comment section with firearms training 👌 yeah buddy ok
Awesome you guys caught this on video. The fact that this could happen, even though others deny it, shatters my trust. I’ll stick with Glock.
The dude in the flannel didn’t even flinch when he pulled the trigger on an empty chamber. Now that is excellent control 👍🏻
There is a Shepard hook shaped spring on the left side of the trigger control group. If you can see any portion of that piece in the slide rails you either need to take it apart and ensure that it is seated correctly or send it into CZ. This was an issue on earlier guns.
Its because the screw on the guide rod is not fully tightened causing the rid to get out of alignment and locking the slide if you tighten the screw down and lock tight it it will fix the issue
Seems like they have some serious quality control issues, I'm grateful you guys exposed those and they're definitely serious safety issues as well.
That SUX. First video of a bad P10C I've seen. Everybody loves those things. Happy to have 2 Navy SEALs opinions on anything (thanks guys). Was excited to see this video, but now I'm bummed. Ah, well. Thems the breaks. Was going to switch out my G17s with P10Fs. Maybe I'll wait a while on that.
You just got a lemon. Mine doesn't have any of those issues.
william grissom my guess is a bad case of the “if it’s not glock it’s crap”.
Mine was a lemon too
@@kcexactly if you buy a second generation version of the P-10c you likely won't have any issues with it.
The only thing I've heard about that was an issue on one later version, was that the drop safety spring want on right on one guys gun. It was and easy fix and was no issue after that.
But I hope you got your gun's issue worked out or replaced.
@@kirkthorpe5392 if all you like is glock, then I'm glad got the gun of your choice and I hope you carry it. 🙂👍
But then that leaves your blanket opinion on other guns worthless to anybody that's not a Glock Fanboy. 😌
@@williamgrissom1995 No, it wasn't fixed. I sold it. My issue was the throat of the barrel wasn't properly bored. The rounds would get stuck on the rifling, the slide wouldn't go all the way home, and it would be a complete pain in the ass to fix. I sold it. You shouldn't have to send a gun in to get fixed. Plus, since then I have had some pretty bad encounters with CZ. Their customer service is probably the worst I have ever encountered. When I send an email about the problem to the leadership it is just ignored. I don't know why they feel they need to act the way they do. I knew someone who worked there too. They quit because of the atmosphere.
guys, I would say there is something wrong with that gun. Get another one
Yeah revisit guys. I just bought mine and I’ve had zero problems you guys had. This video was 3 years ago so CZ has obviously addressed these issues. For real guys revisit this weapon!
Hope you guys do more reviews! Gonna look out for a P210 Carry when it comes out
Absolutely love your show! Yeah, you might have a lemon. I can press check mine fine. Also, the mag release loosened up for me after about 1,000 rounds. Works perfectly fine.
How do you unload the round without shooting?
Thats good to hear, we had the same feeling.

Excellent review and test
Need more gun reviews like this. 3 round bursts while talking. Another 1-2 while still talking. It’s good I can still clearly hear what your both saying. Just keepin it moving. I really do like it. It’s also kind of funny lol
Dang. At 7:25 second nature reaction. I love it. No hesitation on a quick reload.
I scrolled through the comments to see if anyone was as impressed with that as I was. He did that on instinct and with authority. Bad ass.
Ya brother I'd be sending that pos back I've had mine for just over a year never a problem other than slide release being hard
That malfunction happened to me in my Gen 4 but it’s a pistol I’ve carried for 3 years and recently it did it. I did not know what to do but it fired. Ammunition I used is Fort Scott Munitions 115gr. Maybe it’s those rounds that get sticky like that. The remanufactured ammo cycles just fine. I’m glad I stumbled on this video.
Hey Fellas Great Review! I had the first Gen P10C. I did a review on my channel and had the exact same issue with the slide locking in the home position. Turns out the guide rod has a set screw that was loose. It pissed me off and I sold it back to the gun store. I did buy it again a couple years later and haven’t had any issues. Thanks for your service Fellas! 🫡
"WE THE PEOPLE" thats liberating.

Just stumbled across your channel. Glad I did, my good buddy back in HB is Tyler W.
Thousands of rounds through mine and no issue clearing fire arm or press checking. Gotta have something else going on. Peace fellas
I’ve got the P10c and P10s, 10,000 rounds between them and I’ve never had that issue. However I do ride the slide release every time!😬
Holy shit! Thanks for this one. Great demo
You guys as a Duo need to keep doing reviews! Also revisit this gun please.
The only negative review of the CZ on RUclips. I think they got a rare lemon and should review a new one.
I love mine. No issues at all. Even when not cleaned it goes.
A realistic review with real world problem determination. Nothing better! I see Cz sales in decline as a result- Well done Frogs ;)
I think how quickly they released a gen 2 (although not officially calling it a gen 2) . Shows that they recognized the issues
1. Fixed striker rotation
2. Fixed crappy mag release
3. Upgraded stock irons
4. Added optic cut
5. Changed magazine compatibility ( which somewhat sucks but at least backwards compatible)
Are only the optic cut ones a gen 2?
Mine press checks fine. That gun needs to be sent back to cz
Dude's you had a lemon....
my CZ i can press check and everything you do with the almighty Glocks..
CZP10C is a excellent go to battle
and everyday carry.
Go to battle?! HELL NO!!
Well wow I mean the slide designs on CZ are kinda tough cause of the internal rail but didn’t expect to see that. Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking about it but now not so much 🤔😅😂🤣.
I have a lot less firearms knowledge than most on here, but did anyone notice how the CZ went BANG every single freakin time they pulled the trigger... truly amazing.
Until they couldn’t pull the trigger. I expect loaded guns to go bang when I pull the trigger with the safety off…. Every time. These CZ P10’s have known problems including mine. Not a gun I’d trust my life with. Wish it wasn’t so because I have money invested in it.
I'd like to see a follow-up video - is that one a lemon, or is a flaw?
The other comments sure make it sound like that gun y'all had was put together by somebody with a hangover. :)
Agreed
2,000 rounds through my P10c with zero problems.
Would love to see a series of reviewing competition production guns and comparing them to regular models. Curious what they would say about some of these guns in a tactical setting. I’d love to see them review the CZ Shadow 2 Orange from a tactical point of view. Just for fun
I’m glad I saw this video because I was considering the P10c but not anymore. I had the same experience with another pistol and after a few major failures I got rid of it. These aren’t toys ...failure could have grave consequences.
I own both 19 & p10 and neither one has failed me. I will send you my p10 and run the video back.
The no slide lock was from you resting your thumb on the slide release as you shoot and grip the gun, I’ve always had a problem with that too because I rest my thumb too high sometimes.
I've accidentally partially dropped a mag while shooting and was freaking out that a round disnt chamber until I realized the mag was loose. Only problem I have with mine. I love it and will just have to retrain my grip
Glock Gen 5s have the same issue. Nothing to panic about.
Imagine hanging with these guys, your really in the company of studs with 1000000 stories and knowledge !
Enjoyed the review guys. I saw where LAV had issues with it too. Garand Thumb must have gotten the only decent one . Keep up the good work!
Well here's my 2 cents. I own a p10c. I edc the gun. Occassionally I press check and then eject my round for the hell of it. Twice after pulling from my holster the slide would not go back more than a 1/4 inch and of course no ejection. Not good. Finally had to bully the slide as Shawn did here to eject the round. I broke the gun down and threw it and finally found what was possibly the problem. The slide spring rod has a retaining washer on each end. One of the screws that holds the washer had backed out several threads causing the rod to get out of alignment locking the slide. Since correcting this I have not had the problem since. I did purposely push the rod out of alignment and recreated the problem. I hear there is a slide spring with no screws but I have not verified. Hope this helps because I found no info on this problem. Dick is still limp over the whole issue.
you referring to the guide rod?
@@DerekSturman yes
I had the same issue with p10f. The first gen p10c that has a one piece guide/spring has given me no issue with several thousand rounds.
@Josh Benware yep they navy seal/CIA contractors don’t now how to work a gun
Josh Benware well it shouldn’t take 10 seconds or a steel target lolol obviously it wasn’t clearable by hand and these guys ESPECIALLY Shawn has 50x the knowledge and experience you do so you must have had a slightly different issue seeing as how yours was sooo easy to remedy lol
Damn they sent you guys the bootleg lemon version. Personally I love my 10C and even prefer it over my 19X. But to each his own, good watch.
Awesome video!
The new ones addressed those problems. I love mine as much as much as my glock 19. Maybe even like it a little better.
