I agree, there should have been a couple of greens and blues in them… but we can make them… take the olive gold and take one of those bottles that you put your white sinker ink in, add some of the olive gold and mix in some dark hunter or emerald green mica to it with some 99.9% alcohol and you will get a metallic green… for the blues, use a bit of the silver or the metallic grey…
@@daniel..cooper Brilliant! Let me know how it works for you! My husband is an artist. His medium is more drawing with graphites and and colored pencils. But he knows colors and how to mix them. He's taught me quite a bit about colors… it’s hard for me being slightly colorblind … I can’t even begin to tell, you about the flood of e option I felt the first time I put on a pair of EnChrome glasses and I could see the entire spectrum of the rainbow! I am saving up to buy a pair. They are expensive but to be able to see reds and greens and all of the other colors again will be worth it…
Boy, have we ever missed you, Dan! So good to see you back! Hey, dumb idea, but...why not just turn the whole box upside down and shake the crap out of it! 😅😂😆 Ok. I'll show myself out now... 🙄
I wish there were more metallic colors but the ones you worked with are beautiful. Even though they did blob that still look really cool and I love them
what I sometimes do is make some with intentional negative space and when fully cured I'll back them with metal leaf - gold silver, red, purple and black leaf. They REALLY pop.
They look a whole lot like micas added to alcohol. No matter though. They're pretty! Of course they would be in your hands. Hoping you and yours have a very happy Christmas!
LOVE LOVE the black backgrounds! So dramatic! I wonder how the Let's Resin pearl colors would compare? I'll have to give them a try! Thanks Daniel! Brilliant!
Those are all really amazing! I love that metallic ink! I do prefer the ones with the black background, too. Especially the oval one. That one is really awesome!
Those are so beautiful, And thank you so much for these videos 🙏🙏 I have my own business but still learning and learning in resin art It is a very big world☺️☺️
Hey Daniel did miss you being round! Hope you had a good holiday! I just got those ink’s yesterday and hadn’t used them yet but you can bet I will put a black background on em!!! Thanks great job!
You mean to say there are no blues and greens in the box?!? Whut?! Wow, these are really beautiful...I REALLY like these! They have a lot of depth...sure didn't expect this. And why are the blobs so pretty? I wonder if I have these inks??? Can't keep track of what I have! Love the black background! Definitely going to try this! You went in with a 2nd layer of white on just 2 of the white backed ones, and 1 layer on the other 2 white ones.
I have the same Let’s Resin Metallic inks and didn’t enjoy using them until watching this video. I don’t think I was using them correctly before. I love how your pieces came out 😊
Let's Resin seems to have better colors of the metallic inks than ones I bought weeks ago. I ordered the Let's Resin brand and excited to try them!! I have such a hard time getting the great effects you do. But I know my problem is all about timing. All these that you did in this video are great!

wow those came out different than the normal inks, but I like them, the ones with the black have a really nice feathery look, almost night sky. To bad there aren't more colors blues and greens would be really nice in metallic.
Realized that I never made much of an observation did I? Personally, I think the first set (on the left) turned out best. Those are just glorious! The Petri and feathering are so cool! What would these turn out like if you used these inks in your cabochon molds? You know..the one you've used for ages? 😁 I totally vote for black backgrounds, just in case I didn't say so in my other comment! 😊
The copper is extremely heavy…I love the black backgrounds… not too keen on the ones without the black background…. I would love to see what they would look like with a purple background or even a blue… the last one revealed reminds me of Jupiter,,, ooooh…. Need to try and make a Jupiter pendant with the giant red spot or storm in it ! How cool would that be? Sorry for all of the individual comments… can’t help but speak out lol,,,
Wow, amazing I did my hand at regular colors of Alcohol Inks and it didn't turn out, maybe because I premixed, I will try it your way, what black did you use; again they turned out amazing!!!
Gorgeous!!! I love them both!! I know I've probably just missed how you do it, but......how do you do the black background? Is it just black alcohol ink???
You have to REALLY shake up those metallics up… when I opened them up, they were clear as day until I shook the heck out of them…. A couple would, not mix so I had to take the cap off of them and take a cocktail stick to them to break up the pigment that had settled on the bottom…
THERE YOU ARE'!! I was literally about to hop on discord and ask if you were doing ok! I was getting worried about you! I just got those metallic alcohol inks delivered yesterday…i was going to play around with them today to see how they worked… I have some chess pieces I need to make and want to do the. In metallic green and silver…
Love the black backgrounds. I’ve been working a bit with this technique with great results. I’ve ordered metallic inks but couldn’t get the lets resin ones. Great video. Quick question. Did you get any joy with emailing to find out about bigger bottles of black like you can get white?
i might have missed the explanation, but your white sinker - do you mix a pigment paste with alcohol to get the white sinker or is it an actual product to purchase - TIA
Beautiful work! Sorry if I missed this in the video but what is the black that you used for the background? Is it regular alcohol ink or something else?
Hi I am a new subscriber and I love your videos. I have been trying to do these pennants but every time a but white in it sinks to the bottom as a blob. I have also got white sinker. I have tried 3 lots and get the same results. I went onto Amazon link and they been out of stock for awhile. Why do you put the white into another container and is that a pin in the top of the bottle?
Amicalement
maybe I missed something but how do you get more depth with alcohol ink? should I somehow thicken the white to get deeper drops? very lost here about that one, I always get shallow tiny drops. thanks a lot!
It’s the weight of the white alcohol ink… cheap inks render weaker results… the best sinker ink is the let's resin white sinker (C)Deeper…. Try out that white ink from Let's Resin and your results will change for the better :)
You can use a pipette and take out some of the alcohol, don't discard it as you may need to add some back in. Let the bottle stand for 24hrs before to make sure the pigments have sunk and separated.
I've got a question to help somebody can answer for me I have a little bit of one kind of resin and my new resin just got here only it's not the same kind I wasn't very happy with the old one so I got a different kind can I mix them cuz I don't want to waste what's left but it's not enough to do a whole project I need help
So if a crafter lives in a part of the country off continent like Hawaii, what are the options if Let’s Resin or Amazon won’t ship alcohol inks to us¿? It’s really hard to watch these videos without wanting to create.
Is Decorrom available there for alcohol inks? And HDZFX or Jdiction for the resin side? To be honest, the resin or the inks aren't as important as the sinker, I mean quality does matter but with limited brands, aftercare just may need to be adjusted.
In another video, you were dropping 3 colors in small firms and you added a white color on top of it. Was it white alcohol ink too or what, you just said white something 🤷♀️ you had it in a separate bigger bottle with a cap with a wire on it. I don’t know what the white color was?? Alcohol ink also? Or a white pigment?
