the kailh housings for the otemu are insanely tight. a decent amount of kailh housings when trying to open them with an opener doesn't work that well, and usually takes a flathead screwdriver to open them.
For the people wondering if the Tealios v2 stem + Cream housing is nice. I tested it with some broken in creams and it is amazing. Really smooth and a really good sound. But you have to break in the creams otherwise they are a little scratchy. Tealios have a weird bottom out feel and they sound pretty bad. This frankenswitch fixed both things. The bottom out is so nice and the sound is great.
love thE video! feker stems will work in a clear Boba top housing fyi, as will most other stems. the opaque bobas have trouble with most stems, and will cause lots of bottom housings to not actuate at all... something to do with the slot for the leaf spring
Sadly not as smooth as a stock tangie. Might be worth doing a TKC bottom switch swap. (Maybe Banana Split or Tangerine bottom) to retain some of that linear smoothness
will we get a full build of the tealios + cream Frankenstein? since you were looking to "daily drive" it in the video, i would love to see how it would sound in a full build!
I do plan to do this, and I wanted a more high quality video for it rather than just a sound test. (The concept I’ll be going for is: “my top 5 franken switches” or something like that). There’ll be tests of it in different boards and/or different plates.
I saw someone ask about using an Outemu bottom with non outemu tops and stems for their outemu hotswap board, two things: (1) they generally will not be physically compatible due to the difference of how the tops and bottoms open, the exception to this are u4 bobas. U4 bobas are already good in their own right though. (2) frankening switches to fit an outemu hotswap is gonna cost more than just getting a normal hotswap board Overall I recommend either: you get a normal hotswap that uses Gateron, kailh, or millmax sockets and/or use u4 bobas or other good outemu pin switches :) (I can’t seem to find the comment anymore, but it was in my notifications) @72_PM 自由

Quick question! Are the Tealios stems in Cream housings nicer than Creamcicles? because i have seen people say just get tealios and doing this makes it worse so idk. 🤨 Thanks!
Will give it a try brother, but it’s gonna take me a while to give a good video. Off the bat though, I’ve tried it: (all unlubed though) - thoughts - very smooth but sound could definitely be better. Also not sure if I was imagining it but actuation distance seems to be a lot shorter for tangerine stem in tealio housing
