As a 70 year old, just seeing how modern materials replace the balsa kits(when we were 12 years old) where each rib and gusset was cut out with an Xacto knife. Covered with tissue and dope (and fuel proofer)to be replaced later with iron on coloured film. Thimble Drome, Cox, Fox and Enya where the power plants in use. Radio control was in its infancy with the first being rudder control (yaw induced roll) using rubber band escapement “technology”. We only had control line! The rich kids had a PT flight trainer from Thimble Drome, but we had plans and an .049 baby bee! One motor for a hundred home made planes! Today you can buy a ready made plane with all the accessories, motor virtually already running in the box! No fun in that. Kudos to this aero modeller. Now to find some hd foam! 👍😀
This is what an aeromodeller used to be. It's nice to be spoiled these days with ready made models but it's good to see someone still has scratch-building skills and is willing to share them!
For years I spent way to much money on over priced styrofoam airplanes and was never truly happy with how they performed, now I build my own out of foam board from the dollar store and have made changes to my designs to get them to fly exactly how I want them to. It took a lot of trial and error and a lot of research but in the end it's a great feeling flying something you created and flys better then others $800 airplanes.
Bro i respect this so much. Ive been livin years without knowing about this rc plane stuff. Props to u man and i hope i’ll be able to build this in a couple of months when i get the basics down!
Awesome build. I really like that you are reusing materials that would otherwise end up in the landfill. I am just now getting back into RC after a long time off. May have to put this one on the "to do" list. Thankyou for sharing.
It's great to see someone who is dedicated and has talent for building model aircraft at the plant. I have several models made by me, some are kits, others I used plans from Don Smith and Zirole. I used a lot of sandpaper, a stylus, carbon paper, glues and many tools I made myself. Parabéns meu jovem.
Very cool build! Now I want to build an RC airplane. I have several but haven't taken the time to make one. Your techniques are also great if you just need to rebuild a crashed airplane and need to fabricate section of one. Awesome video!
Perfect take off and landing. Excellent creation of this Cessna.. Been looking for something like this for long time. I am planning to recreate one like this. Appreciate all the effort by the creator
Que buen video gracias por compartir, la verdad me gustó mucho, desde hoy uno más del canal gracias por compartir sus conocimientos Dios le bendiga mucho, saludos desde Santa Catarina Pinula Guatemala bendiciones
I JUST HATE WATCHING PEOPLE WITH SO MUCH TALENT..IT JUST ENDS UP SHOWING ME IN EXACTLY WHAT AREAS I HAVE FAILED IN MY LIFE...LEAVING ME TO SPEND AT LEAST TWO HOURS EVERY AFTERNOON WALLOWING IN MY OWN SELF PITY...😅😅😅😅😅 (GOOD JOB BUDDY)
man this is amazing, so much from so little, and yet looking so much the part... my first RC plane was a Cessna 150 (almost 50 years ago), and I remember it eventually flying a bit too fast for confort from being overloaded (too much paint and glue at the rear I suppose, then hefty balancing lead like half a pound, later swapped for a stronger motor...)
12:14 the wing does NOT have a correctly located main spar. you may be aware that most prop-powered aircraft have some dihedral in the main wing. 12:24 there should be no 'extra' bends in a pushrod.! in this case, the pushrod should be routed to the control horn in a way that minimizes the angular offset in the linkage, while NOT having a bend in the pushrod. this might include, bringing the pushrod outside the fuselage farther forward, and use of a flex-limiting pushrod GUIDE, along the top of the tail boom.
His airplane he can build how ever the hell wants to. I build all my own and off the top of my head and I'm sure I'm doing everything wrong in some people's eyes but I could care less because I love how they fly. Thanks FOR the COMMENT.
What a nice creative design and build. Thanks for sharing as learnt a few things from your techniques. You make the build look easy, but at same time very inspiring.
I apptieciate such building the RC flying models ! You will be proud to create something at home. It is nothing special to buy beautiful EPP or balsa construction ARF models ... Under nice looking multi colour foils there is almost the same construction ... You are able to create whatever you want. By the way, your hot cutting technique for creating the wings looks better then I saw at professional constructors. Conclusion: cheap and better then ARF ! This is it !!! Best regards !

The flip and the smooth modelling was everything for me. This is now gonna be my new hobby!
Nice work! I like the hot wire cutting of the wings.
Bro i respect this so much. Ive been livin years without knowing about this rc plane stuff. Props to u man and i hope i’ll be able to build this in a couple of months when i get the basics down!
Impressive build from styrofoam! I liked your homemade drill. Shows creative thought and DIY skills.
Это примитивная модель
Fantastic work. Great skill manual that no longer exists today.
Maravilloso trabajo. Gran habilidad manual que hoy ya no hay.

6:15 que bien queda el corte, buenisima esa tecnica
Nice plane, video and well edited. Shows what you can do for relatively little cost. Much more satisfying than buying artf!

Parabéns meu jovem.
That's modeling, right there! You don't have to spend a ton of money to enjoy the hobby! Right on, brother!
Great satisfying build sir. Thanks for sharing it.
Great idea to cut spar grooves into airfoil template. Nice build!
Excellent solution for the construction, with cheap and easy available materials, but efficient in terms of resistance an weight.
Fantastic work, buddy! It flies really well! 🙌🏻
Hey Max, big fan from India, love your creativity and will to create! Planning to contact you regarding some ideas soon!
My compliments, wonderful work, greeting's from Rome Italy 😏💪👏

Very nice. You did a great job. Thank you for all the building tips.
Very talented I was lamenting the scarcity of balsa but this gives me new possibilities thanks.
dayummmm!! simple and awesome! 👌
That's awesome! And....inspiring! Awesome power drill!
Smart and neat work.. very well done man.. thanks a lot for your good effort.
Perfect take off and landing. Excellent creation of this Cessna.. Been looking for something like this for long time. I am planning to recreate one like this. Appreciate all the effort by the creator
I bought a Cessna182 Rc plane before watching this but making it yourself is just so special
This is i think the best video about making planes that can teach me and motivate me to make one
Thanking you for sharing. Great job, I really enjoyed watching this!
Your building techniques is very very impressive 😊
А моя?

Very impressive!! The wing struts add a nice touch. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Dude this is by far one of the best video
I have seen.

man this is amazing, so much from so little, and yet looking so much the part...

well done. and CHEAP! Thaat is the spirit of modling...Congratulations and greetings from Brazil :)
That cutter for cutting wings where can I get it? Awesome techniques here
GOOD JOB!!!!!! I saw the APC propeller and I prefer the more soft one, called GWS... for park fly, but it is only my taste =) AWESOME VIDEO!!!!
Nice one Jonu .........
Wow you have great control on the plane and great landing
Yes, thanks
Very nice. I love the pinstriping.
Good job friend 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
This is a truly amazing build. The engineering is amazing.

Hi friend, Thanks for such beautiful work. I just wanted to know how you made that foam cutter used to cut the wing. Thanks
What a nice creative design and build. Thanks for sharing as learnt a few things from your techniques. You make the build look easy, but at same time very inspiring.
