The fact these look like something you’d buy at the hobby shop in a box is pretty impressive
Dear NumaVig, at this level of design, including detailed drawing of a rather complex structure, plus the precise workmanship, it's total mastering. The plans are true, there were no needed adjustments (that's not easy and asks to master totally the CAO, it seems that the free Blender is a good software), plus the excellent engineering permits to get a 1 meter plane, with a pretty strong structure able to take a good number of Gs, at only 360 grams...The choice of the technical solutions is excellent.
I've very rarely viewed such a level of conception, engineering and realization. So it's a delight to see and follow closely your very well made video. I'm in awe.
That moment when you fold the wings and tape them is very relaxing to me.

The Edge 540 is such a classic, just as your construction follows the classic old-school ways but using foam instead of balsa! Always enjoy watching all your builds!! The 2305 motor is a good fit but probably could be bigger if you wanted to do some more serious 3D stunt flying. Bravo!!

I also scratch build using foam. I use 5mm foam core board however. Your technique is abselutly FANTASTIC. Two thumbs up.

I think you should try the GWS 10x6, 9x6, maybe 9x7.5 propellers, I think it suits this wing profile and the speed of the model better.👍

When I started flying in 1972, the ONLY way to get a plane was to build it yourself OR have someone build it for you---FROM SCRATCH or from a kit. So I have built hundreds of planes from sport to pylon to pattern to warbird. So I REALLY appreciate the effort here. But to be honest, at my age, I would rather buy an ARF than got through all that trouble. Keep in mind---building is one thing---building true, straight flying aircraft is another and requires lots of jigs. Best wishes.
I totally agree with you and I think that everyone should know how to make one for themselves so when learning to fly you will take the up most care and your enjoying will be so much more when you see your first build up in the air 😄

Grüße aus Berlin Depron gibt's in 3mm und 6mm bei Hornbach ich werde mich im Januar daran machen das Modell zu bauen allerdings den 2305 mit 1620kv und dann an 3S mehr Power 🎉

I've almost finished the wings but before drilling for the screws that secure them I would like to understand more about the stern base where the wing retaining pin is screwed, it seems different from the drawing at min 19:41How do you decide precisely the position of the hole?
put the wing into the fuselage and look where the screws touch plywood before drilling
Small question: Is it possible to convert it to FPV? I would like build one to gift it to a friend that failed his eyes medical test for a commercial pilot license...

Помогите пожалуйста у меня проблема. В прошлом году (30 октября 2022) я покупал у Вас проект Edge 540 RC Plane на сайте "Патреон", но потом был вынужден уехать в командировку и остановил сборку модели. Хотел на новогодние праздники продолжить сборку, НО у меня не хватает листов с чертежами. Сейчас сайт Патреон просит повысить уровень, чтобы скачать чертежи и основа оплатить (я могу прислать скрины с личного кабинета). Можно ли повторить чертежи на электронную почту?
