I used the record to record the time and date my daughter was born. I then took a pic of the recorded time and printed a picture and framed it. I hung it in my office.
That's gotta be the nicest comment I've read in a long time 😊👍
Wow, that´s simply awesome !
Awesome.
Salute I'm gonna do the same on my rangeman.
Very nice idea
This is the most comprehensive GW-9400 guide on the youtube.
I find myself watching this periodically as a refresher and each time I realize how cool this watch is and how many things it can do without being a smartwatch.
Thank you!
This is awesome for hunting. Sunrise sunset times for shooting times and barometer for heads up for shitty weather and compass for when your trying to get a rough heading of winds and other things
A lot of watches was released since 2013 when the original Rangeman was launched and now is 2021 and still this watch is still hot like pancakes. My goodness this is absolutely a winner in all sorts. Function and Toughness... still One of the BEST Master of G.
I come back to this video it’s basically my owners manual. Thanks for posting this.
I'm glad you find it helpful 😁
The record time is useful for me as a security guard. When I respond to an incident I can record the time I arrived, EMT and police arrival, departure and scene clear and then pull it up when writing my incident report. Allows me to keep my hands free which is a huge benefit.
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Messiah Roy i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Messiah Roy It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out :D
@George Dakota Glad I could help xD
Can you explain HOW you do/use that
I've had this watch for 7 years and only just found out you can go right back to the home screen by holding down that button on the bottom left
My only disappointment for this Rangeman is the lack of moon graph/moon phase.
ACTUALLY, I DID BREAK THE LUGS ON MY RANGEMAN!!!!.....and I was absolutely amazed @ how little effort it took to do it!! I managed to catch it on the inside of my sleeve on my dress shirt one morning, and as I tried to work my arm through the sleeve, the fact that it was caught on the inside of the sleeve was apparently...ALL IT TOOK TO BREAK THE LUGS!!!!! I thought, "YOU'VE GOTTA BE SHITTIN' ME!! This is supposed to be a G-SHOCK, and a dress shirt is all it took to break this supposedly "tough" watch!?!?!" By the time I found out I was gonna have to shell out about $250 to get the thing fixed (I had to send it out to Utah from Michigan to do it), I swore I'd NEVER buy another G-SHOCK again!! I don't know who the "brain-iac" was who thought up this "watch-band-lug" crap, but they need to pull their head outta their A** and think of somethin' else!!! Extremely frustrating!! About $280 bucks down the crapper!! I only had the thing for about a year & a half!!
Nakon dugo vremena biranja između pwr 2500, pwr 3000 i mudmaster izabrao sam ovaj. Puno si mi pomogao s ovim video kako sve podesiti. Odlično i detaljno objašnjeno. Hvala
Casio should pay you for this. You just saved me a weekend of reading the manual. Thanks man.
I like the tougher wrist strap pin. Ive had the watch for 3 years of exposure to salt water close to every other day. Although it did get water inside of it at about 30ft of very cold water, but i dried it out for a few months and it works fine again.
many things could be better but still the best watch in the world for me, yes it is plastic, but in my business it is ultimate tool, no charging like modern wrist gadgets, I use barometer trend all the time, I didn't use compass because I use different one for navigation but it is must have for emergencies, but the ultimate thing for me is one button stopwatch, use it absolutely all the time in emergency as mountain rescue situation, as soon as I get a call I press button and I know my response time, how long it was from a emergency call, yes you can remember when the call was made or mark it somehow but in high stress and adrenaline situation things don't work that way... it is simple thing but for me it is a deal breaker, no other watch can do that and also it is always ready no need to worry about battery life, and it is always accurate to the second, can't beat this with any wrist gadget with ton of useless functions, in stress situations when you have injured man to rescue they are useless, when adrenaline rush and you must react you just don't scroll trough functions and check battery status etc. you have other. things to do... I hope they will make this model forever
How does the compas work? Mine has a difference of 25~30° in comparison with the one install on board. Barometer, thermometer pretty good, altimeter needs always be resetting, but still is pretty cool...
@@bikertrash.7692 you can calibrate the compass
I have the OD green version of this watch. I’m a big fan of ditching the spring bars. I put the Jays & Kays strap adapters on mine along with their bull bars. The watch has been put through hell and took it like a champ. Toughest watch I own. This includes other G-Shocks.
This is the best Rangeman as the new one is huge and way to expensive!
And also you don't have to press, scroll, press to get to functions. First one is much better.
Agreed. I went with the g shock gravity master. Has the ABC, neon illuminator and luminous at night. The only drawback is it's not solar. But at $179 couldn't be beat.
So they have made the watch bigger since it was first produced?
@@7775Kevin Yes the version is huge and cost over £800 in Great Britain
@@Legionnaire7777 You must be talking about a different model than the Rangeman 9400, correct?
Just got my first G-Shock today, the Rangeman. Thanks for this video.
Congrats and wear it in good health
Excellent choice.
“In case your a witness to a murder or something” 😂😂😂😂
If you witness your case getting murdered by a shot lug..
The most complete description ive seen until now, good work here.
Thanks
Watch Geek you are welcome! I was wondering if you have a video about the Mudman G-9300??? I already bought one.
Sadly no, I was going to buy one for myself as I like the looks but eventually ended up getting other watches and now don't feel the urge anymore
I can vouch for the lugs breaking. I did some rock climbing and bam, next thing I know all 4 lugs are broken. The reason for this is because the watch bezel, bands and case are all connected to the lugs, so any force you put gets directly transferred to the 4 lugs. They have fixed this issue with the new Rangeman which uses 1 extra pin bar on each side, and a plastic covering over the lugs to spread out the force. Be warned, if you do anything even remotely rugged, this watch is not for you. I have the older Mudman G-9300, and that uses 4 separate screws to attach the bezel to the watch case, 4 screws to attach the bands to the watch case and 4 screws to cover the lugs and the backplate, making it much tougher.
what's the new rangeman model ?
@@dragos8839 Rangeman GPR-B1000
Fuck you and your bullshit about this watch. No lugs are broken since 2013. Take your broken lugs bullshit some place else. The only rock climbing you ever did was behind your computer. The GPR B1000 is a piece of shit. There´s a reason why it lasted only 2 years and the GW 9400 is still alive and kicking since 2013...
Not a good idea to leave the flick light feature on.. It drains the power quite a bit. Amazing watch! This is the best watch tutorial on RUclips!
It doesn't work untill in the dark.
I own the GW 9400, the GWG 1000 and the GPR B1000. Still think the GW 9400 is the best.
No wonder this is one of the best selling models. I suspect I will get one sooner or later.
+Gorga Naibaho wait until you see the second part of the video, this is only half the functions :)
I've had this watch for 5 years and I only broke it once when I was draining an air compressor and the air pressure and water cut the bottom band and it saved me from cutting in to my vane
Thank you, outstanding video. I didn’t feel like flipping through that 400 page booklet that came with the watch.
It does contain instructions in other languages. English instructions might constitute about 50 pages or so.
I hope Gshock is paying you for this! so helpful! Thanks!
Very clear explanation about how to properly set up the rangeman. Thanks 👍🏻
If you change the home city and then change it back does it remember the LAN/LON settings you had for the home city?
Nope, it resets to default value of a city every time
I love your knowledge and explanations of all things. G-Shock. You go through everything with such ease and authority. You have really found your spot on RUclips. ✍️👏🇺🇸
Thanks for the best review on RUclips about this watch. Are you planning on reviewing the GPR-B1000? It'd be nice to see one from you.
Yes, I am doing the review of it, but not a tutorial as I had the watch with me for a short time and because WatchUP69 did an excellent tutorial on it
My best bedtime story. Fallen asleep 3 times!
It's been a while since you last commented. The thing I like about this guy is his knowledge of G-Shocks.
I find them very difficult to understand and this guy goes through everything you could ever want. He's amazing. 😅
Hey, how this watch perform with salt water and swimming pools etc. I mean after swimming in a sea, you have that sensor covered with salt residue, so how it works then and how to clean it?
It can handle it 😊
I've dived with compressed air to 30m just fine.
This maybe one of the last good true military G-Shocks as I need a watch that works completely on its own. When I was in the Army there where many times I didn’t have a phone or cell reception. This rules out Bluetooth paired with an app functionality. Also forget about watches requiring an external power source, aside from solar, such as the newer Garmins. Many of the advertised military tactical watches is straight marketing BS as they aren’t practical.
The army does not use solar powered watches as you don't want to give your position away to the enemy while doing something as miniscule as charging a watch. Also, worrying about the watch's charge level instead of the task in hand would be considered as a distraction. The military uses basic, battery powered G-Shocks for those reasons.
I have the riseman! Bought it in 2010, still kicking, tough solar is the ultimate power source for any watch, Rip Apple Watch fanboys, 18 hours battery life, lol

Hmm i am in the midst of choosing between the positive and negative display for this model, i like the green colour appearance but reading from forums and youtube the negative display does not really recommended by others. I am ok with the positive display but i like the outer army green appearance more, so hard to choose.
LOL. I am having the exact same issue. Do the OD Green with a positive display please!
@@franknowakowski3103 haha finally i bought the black one with positive display. Loving it so far. This watch looks really good on wrist.
@@franknowakowski3103 The positive display is much easier to read than the negative display. I like the green one---there used to be a green one with a positive display but it had to be bought from Japan and it was more expensive. Consensus is that the best "negative display" is the Casio GD350 with one.
You can always just buy a green band and bezel to put onto your positive display model. Best of both worlds
Derek Walter awesome idea👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 will search for the green bnb in future. Don’t hesistate to drop by my channel to have a look on my gshock unboxing❤️
Thank you for making an excellent video. I just received my GS-9400 and you video is really helping me become acclimated with the setup and functioning of the watch. Many thanks!
Make sure to check out the part 2 and congrats on a great watch 😁👍
Do you still feel like this watch is a good buy in 2023? I’m looking for my first g shock, I’m a avid traveler.
New G-Shock owner here. I got this one this week and already love it. I bought it for the "tacticoolness". But, I also have a GW-M5610U which is perfect for everyday.
I have the new GW-9400Y-1ER, and it's awesome! I wear it more than my Samsung Galaxy smartwatch now.
Why buy a Rolex that can't set the time itself or power itself using light?!
Not to mention, the Rangeman is tougher and a hell of a lot cheaper.
What's not to like? Tee shirt or a suit this watch gets attention! I love ❤️ it.
Buy one!
If youre a traveler, I suggest you get a Gravitymaster GA-1100 or get a Protrek PRG-600 series.
Tnks for this video i got mine today after long time. Its realy help me about all punctionality
Just got this watch. But I got the all black version.
How do you like it?
Beautiful watch I just bought one
😂MURDER?😢
I work in a cctv enviroment & the "time-stamp" record works spot on with looking back at moment on the playback cctv.
Rangeman is the "Swiss Army Knife" & could add new features like
Camera.
Vibrate alarm+hour.
Led light.
Any other ideas?
😅😅😅
Fantastic video.
I have one more question. In the countdown area, I only know how to add full minutes (like 02:00, 03:00 etc) but I cannot figure out how to set seconds, like (02:30, 03:30 etc), do you know what I must do to also be able to set seconds?
This is a legend of a watch
i got this watch today ,, on the received screen i can just view when it received update and unable to change any other settling like auto or off or attempt manual sync , i can do nothing in this screen but just view when it updated last , i am in India and we dont have any tower here ,,is this expected ?
Just got my watch today. This video is very helpful. Thanks
My dream watch was really a gshock, then my father surprised me for my 15th birthday, I'm 22 now and the watch is still standing had to change the battery though for 3 years
Since I’ve got this watch I’ve never bothered to read manual. Your vdo is much easier to follow.
Best watch video ever on RUclips
I just hope that Casio doesn´t turn a future Rangeman into an analog watch like they did with the Mudman/Mudmaster and now the Frogman.
They will they seem to ruin everything these days with giant faces analog digital combination and too much technology and nonsense into a 90 millimeter case size..
In my opinion this Range man is better then the second version and is the last good watch they casio put out
@Sir Kyushu Correct. I Definitely believe you. I've seen Lots of reviews and the new Digital Rangeman is absolutely nothing I would consider buying. Too BIG!
It's almost hard not to laugh when I look @ the size of the Newest Range man .😂
I had a hard time deciding whether or not to buy the old Rangeman GW 9400 which is much smaller then the new one. would be too big or not?...
The old one is as big as I would go. I actually really enjoy that old version Range man Gw 9400..
In the new Digital Version, they took an already huge watch and made it a clown sized giant watch.
Have you ever viewed any of G-Shock High fashion Channel? Just look at every watch he owns. They all look 85 mm on his wrist
Cheers
@Sir Kyushu in addition to your Valid points, I'll make one more point.
The RUclips channel called: "G-Shock High fashion" I referred to earlier made a specific video on the old Range man GW 9400.
While I do not necessarily agree with his taste of wearing Huge G-Shocks on his very tiny wrist, i believe he is very knowledgeable. He's known for taking apart and servicing all G-Shocks.
In the video, he took apart the old Range man GW 9400 and showed all the components.
He showed that Casio could make the old Rangeman watch much, much smaller if they wanted to. The components inside did not take up that much space compared to how oversized the bezel and overall watch were.
Looking @ the small interior components proved that Casio is wanting to make their watches bigger and bigger.
Though it is not necessary because the components would fit in a much more Compact and smaller watch frame..
It is clear that Casio really likes the huge, bold watch face trend, and will continue with it unfortunately.
I don't like small watches, I just don't want them to be so huge. Ya know?
Cheers
@Sir Kyushu ruclips.net/video/bvUtk0UcTfs/видео.html
👍 He knows his stuff, & proved Casio could definitely make G-shocks smaller.
Video link is above. you own the GW 9400 original Range man as well correct
Deine Stimme hört sich an wie die deutsche synchronstimme von dustin Hoffmann, sehr angenehm zum zuhören . Btw , dein video über diese Uhr hat mir sehr geholfen , danke dafür .
Greeting Watch Geek! Once again, your review pushed me to buy a new G Shock 😅. Can you please give an update on how the lugs/straps are holding up? Thank you 👍
excellent review man, i was about to pick up the gp-400 but i think this is the watch i want!!
I've had my Rangeman now going on 6 years, hasn't missed a beat and still original wristband, and this thing has taken a beating over the years :)
Have you had any issues with your lugs during that 6 yr. period?
Good
Any way to get around the strap pins breaking?
Hey, I would like to point something that is missing from this greatest tutorial about Rangeman ever existed :). I watched both of them, part 1 and part 2 and I think something is worth mentioning about that auto time calibration Multi Band 6.
In the manual it's specifically said that if "Power Saving" setting is ON, then the Receive Operation is disabled.
I had given up about this, I also own another G-Shock with radio controlled time, and that one didn't worked either, so I just resigned, I thought that I was just too far from the wave.
But, after reading the manual more closely, I stumbled upon that warning, I disabled "power saving", I enabled Receveing aaaand, succes, the next morning both of my g-shock's were calibrated.
So, I think it's very important to know this, IF you want for the watch to auto calibrate at night you must disable "Power saving".
I never use PS, so that's why I probably missed it. Thanks for clarification 👍
I have always used PS mode and mine always connects with the world time clock.
@@feardabeard7635
Thats very strange, my two g-shocks don't, and I've made experiments, on and off, no ambiguities, even the manual clearly specify this - if the PS is ON, then the synchronization with those atomic radio stations doesn't work.
@@IulianMihaiu I'm telling you. Mine does with the PS on. And it is a rangeman 9400 G-Shock.
@@feardabeard7635
😁 I truly believe you, what can I say, I envie you 🙂, my Rangeman doesn’t
Very comprehensive review, first rate. Now going to order the watch.
Congrats on the future acquisition
OMG so here I am again...
Just bought THIS one and watching yet ANOTHER tutorial.
I LOVE this watch. It literally has EVERYTHING that I would use and want in a outdoor piece.
I just bought the GW7900-1 but I really have no use for the tidal/moon features AND the 94 is triple, solar AND atomic. The ONLY other feature that one could think of is location tracking in bluetooth. Not for me. I just want a stand alone "survival" piece and this fits perfectly.
I tried not to spend the other hundred but it's too much of a bargain for the rangeman.
The new one is really cool but HUGE. Once it's shrunken down a little I'd definitely go for it. The display is crazy nice too but the 9400 is rugged, practical AND beautiful in its design (to me).
Thanks again and may your creator bless you richly.
There's only ONE you.
Always love your thorough tutorials bro!!!
Others might've mentioned this already - the stopwatch goes to 1000 hours, not 24.
Yes, really.
Hi there! I need your expertise on this, do you think if I bring this rangeman for scuba diving, will the water pressure damage the barometer?
And how about using the compass while scuba diving too. Just want to check if you happen to know anything on this. Please review frogman series too! Will love to see more coming! Many thanks in advance!
I have 5he Frogman in the mail so a review will happen.
As for damaging the sensor, no, it will not get damaged. You can dive with it as you please.
The compass should work, but on this, unlike a Frogman you have to keep the watch level, while the Frogman compensates for that
Watch Geek thanks for the reply! Will there be any difference if the assembly place is different, say one is assembled in Thailand and the other assembled in Japan. Will it matter for the same issues I've asked? Will barometer be damaged and can the buttons be pressed while scuba diving. Thank you so much for your advice!! Can't wait for the frogman review!
It shouldn't matter where it's made.
When it comes to button pushing, officially only Frogman can be operated under water according to Casio, but I know they used to allow it on all 200m watches before. For some reason they changed it in the last decade or so, so any button operation is at your own risk
Watch Geek thanks for the advice! Keep the awesome reviews!
One question to all fellers living in the Southern Hemisphere: is the compass working down under? If yes: do I need to change anything in the settings? Thanx in advance
Great video, thx for posting it. DST is set to AUTO but is no longer being displayed on my watch. It use to be there but then I toggled it from AUTO, OFF, ON back to AUTO and now it no longer appears over my seconds counter. Thoughts?
Thanks!
Because DST is summer time and we all switched to winter time a couple of weeks ago, it will reappear in the spring 😊
Casio should have a link to your videos in the watch box instructions!! Save the paper instruction book...…
Haha thanks
@@WatchGeek I have used this upload before because my light kept coming up on. And draining the battery. I have the same problem again but completely forgot how to turn that mode of I did an instruction search for this range man and found your time stamps in the description I solved the problem in less than a minute in thanks very much. Casio should pay you. Or a least give you free watches. I got this watch about 10 months ago second hand it was in mint condition I payed 100 UK pounds but at least I was able to check to see if it was a fake. I don't know if it was your upload on how to tell if this modle rangeman was fake but it gave me peace of mind. The fakes out there are very good they look like the real thing. Andy England 🇬🇧👍

Thanks for this walkthrough, extremely helpful as usual.
Haha thanks
Yes I love mine and thank you for sharing this you did some really good talking about this watch it's nice and big perfect thank you again happy holiday to you my friend you give such great videos thank you so much 👍🏆❤️
I only wear automatic watches but oh my I cannot believe how many functions that watch does!!! I will never trade in my automatic watches but I may have to get a g shock like that just because so so cool!!
As a kid, I wore digitals with all sorts of functions. When I got to 17 I started wearing analogue watches. Many years later, I'm back to digital and G Shock in particular, because of all the functions. Having the choice is great.
I recently had mine in a watch box for 8 months straight. Upon pulling it out, the screen was completely blank so I figured the battery was dead, I touched a button on it and it came back to life with a full battery. I'm amazed
That's power saving mode for ya my friend!!!
@@musicallymaximized2694 no lie, I've always been die hard casio wearer.. however after that and the countless years of not so easy life on this watch that is still running and looking flawless, I wont wear or trust anything else.
I would advise you not to do that anymore as letting the watches sit in complete darkness for long periods of time will shorten the battery life
“…If you’re a witness to a murder or something…” that escalated quickly.
😁👍
Fantastic video! Very well explained ✌🏻
My opinion the best watch on earth. And btw I put a NATO strap on mine so it will last forever.
What strap is it?
@@paulsilvestri593 Blueshark
it will not last forever with that nato strap. nato adapters causes lug breakage. you should look for it on the net
@@georgeorwell4573Not a fault of the watch straps, but rather the poor design of the lugs and the case.
Hello my friend ! Will the watch still receive atomic update if in power save mode ? Thanks
Yes, it wakes up, gets the time update and goes back to sleep
Watch Geek Thank You
Was gifted one of these almost 6 years ago and I still wear it every day without fail. it's experienced a motorcycle wreck, 4 years in the army as a mechanic, lots of deep water diving and it's still in prime condition. once this one finally gives out which I doubt will be anytime soon, I'm getting another of the same exact one.
I am diver too. I am worry to bring it with me to deeps.... never more than 20 btw...
What does the word open on the surface mean? Because my Gw9400-1 has no electricity. There is electricity just after the sun shines. There are words on the surface, but you can't compare the time. The button does not respond, only the light responds
Excellent video, I am still watching. Difficulty changing it. Thank you for informing me it automatically shuts off. Always had a Casio watch-G shock, Mudman, had early Casio phone book as well as Casio calculator watch. I loved my mudman. Stopped doing stopwatch & countdown functions, I believe when battery was changed, something happened. Video is useful, since I have difficulty reading small print manual it comes with. I am not clear if I am pinging a tower for atomic time, do I still need to set up manually?
Thank you sooo much very helpful
I've never understand how "mud resist" is an additional feature? I mean, if water can't get in, then how the heck could mud ever get in? Anybody ever think the same way?
The mud resist function means that the watch has gaskets between the button face and the button receiver, where water may enter (causing no harm, tight water seals lie deeper within the watch), though something like mud or snow can't get in and make it difficult to press the button like on a normal casio/gshock watch. It won't have too many issues without the mud resist, however having it is a nice touch.
In my watch DST have only 2 options on and off no auto option so how do I get that ? And other thing is recovering network option also not working as I checked many time on different times and I just purchased watch before 2 days so should I return watch or there will be some settings issues ?
My fiancée bought me the Rangeman for Father’s Day, best gift ever! When I wear one of my other G-Shocks I get separation issues.
Haha, so true!
As with all your videos, very informative and thorough ! Keep up the awesome vids and thank you!
+Robert Sanchez thanks for the kind words and I will try to keep it going :)
Your video was a great help. Thanks.
Hi. Good video 👍 I just got one question, is it possible too change the date set up from month- day to day - month? I live in Norway so that would be the correct way here. Thx for the good guide video 👌
Nope, the new square GWB5600 offers that
Have one on my wrist now. Been wearing Gshock since the 80's in The Army & never stopped. I think I have 12 now. It becomes a Habit. But has always been Fun getting a New One.
Me too, bought my first G-shock in 1987 at the PX during basic. G-shock's ever since (with the occasional Seiko diver)
Great channel, great review too, I always loved digital watches but as I grew older I moved on to analog watches however your channel made me want to buy a digital watch again, in your honest opinion, should I get this rangeman or the protrek prw 2500? They are both priced at £160 gbp.
+Rubs83 Rubs83 that's a tough decision, I reviewed and love both, the Rangeman is a better watch on paper as it has newer generation sensors and has protection bezel making it soft to the touch.
The PRW2500 though looks so cool and the screen is incredible with the duplex LCD. It also allows you to use NATO straps without adapters.
You will probably end up getting both eventually so it is only the question of which one you get first 😄
Watch Geek 😂 my wife just said 'get any, you'll end up with both by the end of the month anyway' Cheers man, look forward to more great vids.
+Rubs83 Rubs83 haha thanks and that's great when wives support this addiction 😄
Im loving my rangeman even more after this. thanks for the extensive tutorial! subbed!!
Hello brother i hope you would be doing good. I appreciate your efforts for making such an informative video, my quiry is about a RECEIVED function, i live in pakistan thats outof the range of 6 towers, it doest show anytime but my point of concern is that why the watch doesn’t go to option of AUTO on off when I hold the adjust button. It doesnt show anything when i press and hold adjust button. My watch is brand new and i got it from a reliable vendor for good about $ 282 USD.
Hi, try to change your home location time to TOKYO or TYY first. Then you can use R/C function. G shock R/C function will not available if your time area not covered by the towers. And make sure barometer INFO set to off. R/C function will not be working as well if INFO ON
FYI, you can use JJY Emulator app to mimic radio frequency so your atomic time will be able to be synchronized. Check this youtube video for more detail: ruclips.net/video/hQwdAJlDL7Y/видео.html&ab_channel=HaireeHuzainee
Exactly, if you select a home city that's outside of the range of the atomic towers, it will disable the RC completely

Another outstanding tutorial. Much appreciated!
I just bought the 9400Y minutes ago, mostly because of your video. Please tell me which Lon & Lat do I need to add - decimal or DMS? Thank you
I think it's decimal, i added the decimal values (closest rounded) and the sunrise / sunet times are identical with the ones on the weather app for my city. I was confused by the little degree mark on the Lat / Lon screen making me thing i need to add the DMS value.
Question......I just received this watch yesterday.....I'm not getting those bars saying the watch has synced up AND my charge meter has not gone above "medium" charge...….is something wrong? It appears to function well so far. I also tried an auto sync by holding the button, it searched and then I received an ERR message.
Everything is fine, make sure to setup the correct home city, also the M is pretty wide so it will take some time for it to reach H if you were at the lower end of M.
Manual time receive is very difficult during the day
Watch Geek.....Ok.....much appreciated! Just making sure, I purchased it from Amazon from a very reputable seller so I didn't expect anything was really wrong. I'm a watch guy with a few Breitling's a few Tissots and a Gucci Pantheon.....not used to all this fancy stuff! LOL THANKS!
Brutus 632
Need to have the tower to sync it
The problem is there are only 6 towers world wide
ReformMsia…...Ok THANKS! Yeah, I'm new to the G Shock world and have no idea as to how these watches operate! LOL.....I guess with only 6 in the world, the odds aren't too great it's going to sync up huh? I received the watch 10 minute prior to leaving my house for my shift as in EMS so I had no time to even mess with it.
One of the best G's. In the meantime a classic and belongs in ever G-Shock Collection.
How do you change from factory set American month and day format, to international format? For instance 9-23 to 23-9 ?
You can't on this one
Thank you
Watch
Hey!

Hey bro , Could you consider doing a video on the G9300 Mudman? Thanks! , Huge fan of the show haha
Thanks for watching, I was going to get the 9300 but the plan fell thru so I don't know when or if I will get another chance.
If I do get it I will definitely make one
Just bought it based on this video. Great content!
How are you liking yours? I think this is going to be my next g shock.
@@tristandauod it's a great watch with good build quality.
Countdown Timer with no repeat function and unable to set number of seconds is such a disappointment. My 50-dollar Timex Ironman has those features (even without the ABC, it still has shock resistance and 200M water resistance; a staple of every g shock, hell it even has a night mode where the Indiglo activates every time any button is pressed.) The Rangeman is an absolutely beautiful and rugged watch combining all ABC functions into one watch, but I was surprised with all the normal everyday functions I can't do that I can with much cheaper watches.
8:56 start of tutorial
I guess you missed the FULL table of content found in the description 😂
this is a great review , i think no one can make it better than this .. !
thank you
Thanks for the kind words 😊
You welcome
It's been a great watch for me, however the lugs recently broke on the strap after some a "collision" with someone. I was surprised they broke as it really shouldn't have... To my knowledge they cannot be fixed?! Great watch, but the rubber lugs are a massive weakness, if I get another g shock I will do some research into how the strap is fixed to the watch, which is after all the weakest area... If anyone knows how to fix it, please let me know? Thanks
the straps are screwed in on the case/ bezel if its broken on the case itself you can't fix it.. you can get a case replacement tho.. but they don't come as one part, its mostly the case/glass/bezel and they don't come cheap offical.. and you have to put your own module in that.. if its just the strap you can replace the strap..
@@INFIN1TY- thanks for the information mate. It’s broken on the case itself so cannot be fixed. It’s a nice excuse to get a new G Shock I guess....
5:58 I have the carbon fiber band on my mudman 9300. The band is way more comfortable on my wrist than the resin band on my rangeman 9400-1. My 9300 mudman band just feels more durable and less flimsy. I’ve had it for 10 years now and it hasn’t worn out yet.
