Congratulations you've just made the acquaintance of the best singer in the world. This is not an exaggeration. This woman can sing anything. You are of that opinion at the latest when you have heard nightwish's ghost love score from wacken 2013 live in front of 82,000 people.
I remember about 2 years ago they already did already a reaction on Ghost love score and if I remember well they loved it but the lady was during the reaction watching many times at her mobile phone and lots of Nightwish fans felt agitated and put that in the comments, I guess that was the reason they stopped continuing reacting to Nightwish. For me it did not matter and I would love to see them reacting more to Floor and Nightwish they look very nice. They seem to have Spanish background so I recommend from the same show beste zangers Floor singing in Spanish que de siente.

Beste Zangers (Best Singers) is a multi-episode TV program from the Netherlands. In each episode in any given series, a number of well-known national performers are picked (varying between 6 and 8 each season) and in each episode, one singer is centrally focused as the remaining artists sing songs by that specific artist. Even though the original artist judges the "adaptions" and "covers" of his/her songs done by the other participants, the show is not really a competition. The final episode is usually comprised of duets and a revisit to favorite performances during the season.
Floor Jansen (yan-sen) is the lead singer from the Finnish Symphonic Metal band Nightwish. You’ll hear all about her in the comments.

Beste Zangers does not translate to Best Singers in this case. The context of the show is not competition. It would translate to Dear Singers as in the start of a letter where Best Singers implies a competition or showing off the best singers.

Beste Zangers (2019) is a TV show from the Netherlands, in which 7 Dutch singers from different musical genres are invited at Ibiza, plus a moderator. In each of the first 7 episodes, one of them is in the "central spot", and the other 6 sing for him / her songs from his / her repertoire or with personal significance for him / her. In the 8th episode they all performed duets. In this case, Floor Jansen covered "Shallow" for Emma Heesters (the blonde girl dressed in red), who is a successful cover singer in YT (she also did a cover for "Shallow" on her YT channel)
Floor Jansen (pronounced "Yansen") is the lead singer of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. And now I know where I've seen you :) for too little time, if I remember correctly.
I think it would be good to try Floor's other performances in this show, they were all very beautiful.
It would also be interesting to react to the covers that Floor Jansen made at home in the last 5 months, during this pandemic period. There are 6 covers so far, you can find them in her YT channel.

I am a mere soldier in this army of fans. Floor Jansen has been called by some a Valkyrie, but to me she is the immortal embodiment of a Goddess. She herself once said that she is Freya (a goddess in Norse mythology who affects people's desires, health, and prosperity). You will certainly get recommendations of songs to react to from the Nightwish army; most recommend, "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish at Wacken Open Air festival in 2013, which is an excellent showcase of Floor Jansen's mastery of her voice, as she goes through several techniques in the beautiful song in the Symphonic Metal genre. I loved your reaction of Shallow, and look forward to watching some reactions of Nightwish; which you will now be compelled to do. Your soul aches for it I'm sure.

Just check out her rendition of "Phantom of The Opera" from "Beste Zangers 2019" - not to mention she's currently the best selling Dutch rock star. Her live shows with the Finnish symphonic-metal band Nightwish, she joined in 2012, are legend.

Beste Zangers is a Dutch show (other countries have a version of it as well) where a group of singers take turns being in the spotlight for a day and the other singers either sing their songs or songs that that person loves. Here Floor sang a song that the young woman in red, Emma, liked. There's only a small bit of competition in that the person in the spotlight has to choose which performance (s)he liked best that day.

Bestezangers is a Dutch show, all the people on the couches are other professional singers, they sing each others' songs and songs they are famous for covering. That singer was Floor Jansen lead singer for the symphonic metal group Nightwish, she won the show. Lots of others songs covered on this show. She also has covers for Adagio, Let it Go, Oblivion, and Heart's song Alone. Yes she is the front woman for the greatest symphonic metal band in the world, Nightwish, but during this shutdown she has been making covers. She has the greatest voice I have ever heard, she sings across all genres, she was classically trained in opera and started fronting another band After Forever at the age of 16, and toured the world. Technically, she didn't "win" the show as there was no prize or winner in this format. However, if you mean that she turned in the most impressive performances than anyone else, then she was definitely the winner. (another source of confusion is that she performed a song called "Winner" on the show for Tim Akerman).

Beste Zangers is a fantastic concept of a tv program. All famous singers/musician from different gernes of music singing for eachother. Every episode 1 of the other singers is the host. In The Netherlands we dont look at eachother as competitor but as collegue. So they honor eachother. So this was Floor's interpretation of this song for her singer college . Love this reaction ! Just watch The Phantom of the Opera (Floor Jansen and Henk Poort) this will be the best Phantom you heard.
I'm a huge Gaga fan but haven't listened to Gaga for over 2 years since I stumbled upon Floor's performance of "Ghost Love Score" (Wacken, Germany live concert) with her band Nightwish. If you listen to her whole body of work she is undoubtedly "the best" female singer. All of her Beste Zanger's 2019 performances were terrific.

@@Mike-mc3sh I think it was mostly that they weren't blown away there was no "Floorgasm" at the end. There were a lot of comments about poor sound but it really wasn't that bad, Cynthia seemed to lose interest about halfway through the song but did bring up the comparison to Hans Zimmer and she did compliment floors wardrobe. Albert seemed to enjoy it but paused towards the end to look something up about the band. Some comments were very toxic to Cynthia some down right nasty but were deleted shortly after,but I read them. I was one of their subscribers who requested Ghost Love Score and was very embarrassed by those comments. So let's hope the Nightwish army/family gives them a lot of love for this video so they may give Nightwish another chance and more Beste Zangers reactions. I believe that if they had remembered who Floor was they may have passed on Shallow.

All of Floor's performances on this show are incredible! Some of the other artists also did some incredible performances and they are definitely worth watching as well as Floor's. Also, it is very interesting to watch episodes of the show that include some of the dialogue before and after each performance - it really adds a lot to the understanding of the show and gives more insight into the artists themselves. I think you guys reacted to the Symphonic Metal group "Nightwish". Floor is the lead singer. Ooops, sorry I see that Robert already commented on that....Floor is extraordinary. She can sing in almost any discipline. She was classically trained. She and the older gentleman they showed, Henk Poort, do a duet of Phantom of the Opera done Metal style that is really great also.

Beste Zengers is a dutch tv show where they grab a group of singers from across the spectrum of music. Each singer has a night as the muse if you like and all the other singers sing songs for them either written by them or from a list of songs that have meaning to them. Before each song they have some dialog about the singer and the song and how it relates to them. For many this 2019 season was special as we knew Floor but we also got to know 5 other singers who we would most likely never have come across otherwise. Not a competition more of a celebration of singing.
There are videos that include the conversation in subtitles and it really does add to the performance as you understand why the other singers react as they do...

This 2019 season (The best imo) had 7 singers from the Netherlands all from different genres of music ranging from pop to Opera. The singer you just saw Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen) is the lead singer of a metal band called Nightwish to which you should be familiar since you reacted to Nightwish "Ghost Love Score"😁 And the Nightwish army would love to see you again just sayin😄 In this show one singer is spotlighted each week. The other singers will sing a song from the spotlighted singers written songs or a song that in some way impacted their lives in one way or another. It is NOT a competition at all. Just great singers having a blast with each other lol! Every song Floor sings from this show is golden 👍 But also a lot of great ones from the other singers as well. For instance the cute blonde that was on the center couch is Emma Heesters she sang a song to Floor (that Floor wrote for her mother) called "Strong". It might make you cry so be prepared 😂 Henk Porte the older gentleman (an opera singer) did an unbelievable cover of "Sound of Silence". Good reaction guys. Nice place by the way. I love your kitchen. Floor is an incredible singer who is able to infuse anything she sings with powerful emotion. She has made me tear up a bunch of times through various songs. She is well worth checking out.
Most countries in Europe has some version of a show like this. Already well known artist meet up and sing eachothers songs, or songs they have become famous for singing. As a tribute to each other.
Some piece of information for you guys:
- Although singing in a Finnish band, she's actually dutch. And her name is indeed pronounced Floor Yansen.
- These people are not judges, cause the show isn't a competition. The concept is: they're all dutch singers from different genres and backgrounds, and in each episode one of them is in the spotlight as all others pick songs to celebrate that person. In that occasion she was singing for Emma Heesters, the blonde lady in red dress.
- I definitely think you should take a look at Floor singing with Nightwish (her band) cause, believe it or not, she had to restrain herself soooo bad not to overpower the song while singing "Shallow". My suggestion is "Ghost Love Score" live at Wacken 2013.
The orignal idea behind this show was: you're professional singers,who would you like to perform a song of yourself or your liking in case you got strikken by illness and you can't perform it yourself. This turned into more a serenade towards the artist next to the presenter,giving the song your own flavour(touch) and ends up into owning that song totally.
Btw she is Dutch as the show is too,if you are interested in more of her qualities,you should listen to her renditions of other songs on that show. It will give you an inkling of what her abilities are,before you follow her into awesomeness of Nightwish from which she is the front singer ,a journey of discovery into what is called Symphonic Metal.
Beste Zangers is a Dutch show where Dutch singers from different backgrounds get together and perform different songs each week that are either by or influential to each other. Floor sings in I think 4 different languages and many different genres and styles on the show

Just singers from different styles, some old timers, some in their prime, some starting.
Together, singing for each other songs that mean something to the "host singer" of each night.
Example, the old dude is a famous semi retired opera Dutch singer. He was the "host" in the first night. Floor chose to sing to him a song that his mother (an aria singer) would sing to him and his dad when he was young, the German operetta Vilja Lied, with some metal style instrumentation
She also did a song in Spanish in this show. It’s a Dutch tv show where famous Dutch singers sing songs for eachother. It’s not a competition but performers having fun. You just met our Valkery Queen of heavy metal. She currently is the singer of Nightwish on of the best symphonic metal bands ever. Floor is arguably the most versital singer in the world as she can sing opera, rock, pop and with her incredible technique is able to put dynamics in everything she sings. She as an empath, is able to channel emotions like a boss... she can grewl and switch in one breath to an angalic voice... may I suggest the most reacted video on RUclips Ghost love score performed by Nightwish live in Wacken 2013. Then you understand why she is so loved within but also out of the metalcommunity...don’t be afraid..this song is loved by people who hate metal...so ...treat yourself on a musical experience you never thought would happen to you!
Beste Zangers is a Dutch show where 7 singers each have the other 6 sing a song important to them. Floor came on the show where virtually no one had heard of her as she sings with the biggest Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Her first performance of Vilja Lied for Henk Poort an opera singer blew them all away. Every one of her songs are superb. Am surprised that you haven't heard of Nightwish as they tour most of South /North America regularly. To hear her rock listen to any song from Wacken 2013 concert.
A long way from "Ghost Love Score", isn't it? Floor may or may not be the best female singer out there today, but she is unquestionably the most versatile.
this show is about a few singers who singing every episode for one singer in the spotlight. they singing songs from the spotlight artist, or something with a meaning for him or her. no judges just friends singing songs from eachother.

Welcome in the fabulous world of Floor Jansen, the Dutch front lady vocalist of the Finnish band Nightwish. She is considered to be one of the best and versatile singers of this moment in the World. You just heard Floor Jansen (pronounce Yahn-Sen) she is Nightwish 3rd female vocalist. Floor was born on Februari 21st, 1981 in Goirle the Netherlands. At the age of 16 she started her career as (initially) just as background singer from the Dutch metal band ‘After Forever’ in 1997 but real soon she took over the lead until early 2009 and the band fell apart. Parallel she studied at the Dutch Rock Academy in Tilburg starting in 1999 where she graduated in 2003 and spent two years on classical training with the National Conservatory. She studied Musical Theatre and one year Opera. She plays guitar, piano and flute and has completed 12 years of music studies. She’s a Light Lyric Soprano and her vocalrange runs from E3 to D6. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons.
On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ‘ReVamp’, which was disbanded in September 2016. In August 2010 Jansen was a guest in the TV program De tiende van Tijl. In that program she sang an aria by Puccini. From October 1, 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as the singer of Nightwish halfway their Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she was to become the group's regular new front singer.

"Beste Zangers" is the best television show ever in my opinion. It's really a shame we don't have anything like it in the States. Everyone sitting on the sofas are also recording artists. They take turns singing for each other selecting from their fellow artists own material or something close to them that influenced them. Most times the artist singing is changing the song up a bit as Floor does in this version of "Shallow." Her intention on this song was "to keep the song small." As referenced in some of the other comments you've received you've stumbled into two real gems with this reaction. First and foremost you've found Floor Jansen. In my opinion and in the opinion of many others Floor is simply the best female singer in the world today. The second gem you've found is "Beste Zangers" and especially this specific year of the show in 2019 with this selection of artists. Wow. How I wish I could experience it all again for the first time. Do yourself a favor and go down the Floor Jansen rabbit hole. It's life changing stuff.

Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, agility, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a soprano with a range of more than three octaves (D3 to F6). It is apparent when listening to her sing that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres and is a vocal coach herself. It is incredible how she is able to take any song and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet.

Floor is not well known in the country, so when she participated it was a discovery for the majority of the population (except for metalheads).

Floor was not very famous in the Netherlands her home because most people don't really listen to metal. She's been around for 40 years with 24 of them on the stage. She's sold a ton of records worldwide. After this season of this show, now the Dutch love her. Even the other singers except for Tim Akkerman didn't know who she was but she blew them all away.
