Floor has the most healing voice in this universe. When I hear her, my whole nervous system becomes completely serene. I just know there will never be another ´Floor` in my lifetime. So grateful for her gift she shares with the world.

You don't hear or see Floor sing, you experience it. She touches you on a level that you just didn't think possible. There are singers and then there is Floor.
if Floor's voice reach your ears there is no turning back, your soul is taken by her. she is the most beautiful human being in this world. except from her amazing beautiful voice she is such a good person that there is no way you cannot love her. she is a gift to humanity and everyday i woke up i am so happy that i can hear her sing one more time.❤
Finally got to see Floor live with Nightwish on Monday, and although she said she's not feeling 100% there was no sign of that in her performance! She was amazing, as were the rest of them: when we left my wife said "I have to see them again". The support bands were very talented, but Nightwish has so much greater variety, and Floor can truly do it all. There are no words.
Superb wasn't it? I thought Beast in Black sounded muddy but when Nightwish started...

I think she knows that she is the best rock/metal singer around these days, but you will never hear her saying that, because it's not in her nature to make such a statement. She is so humble, kind, modest and honest. Maybe it has something to do with her being "super sensitive", that she can touch something deep inside of everybody.

In the years that followed, you could see what effect that show and Scully (played by Gillian Anderson), had on Women pursuing a carreer in Sience of Medicin, this was called the Scully effect.
I believe that we will see a "Floor effect" on Women in Hard Rock / Heavy in the years to come, because of Floor Jansen.

I had the immense privilege of hearing her sing a couple of nights ago at Wembley - she exuded and radiated so much strength considering the nightmare she's just been through, passing on good vibes and feelings of confidence to everyone who witnessed it. I am 100% certain of that. You couldn't help but be inspired. Ably supported by the energetic Beast in Black before! Take good care of yourselves 😃
I'm 60 years old and I believe she's the greatest female singer I've ever heard. There are lots of great singers throughout the years and they're great at what they do, but Floor is great at everything. There's the saying "A Jack of all trades, a master of none", but she's a master of most (if not all). Her range, power, control, versatility, emotion and storytelling mixed with her charisma and stage presence make her the best ever in my opinion.
Floor can sing anything.

Floor is certainly in a category by herself. She is the embodiment of the term, virtuoso. Unbelievable command of all aspects of her instrument. Then add the fact that she becomes what she sings. Her vocal performances come alive with expression and character. I have 3 favorite singers in the world, mostly because they are entirely different, and can't really be compared. Floor is and probably always will remain one of them.
A suitable superlative for Floor has yet to be invented.Until then, countless people will be amazed speechless.
Everyone goes crazy for her insane belts, and they are impressive to say the least. But I love it even more when she does this, gently, softly, spinning silky vocal thread.
Also *nobody* does OOOHS and AAAHS like her, I could listen to an album of Floor weaving oohs and aahs
Apart from a very good singer, she have also a beautiful character.
That woman you saw in her documentary, that is still Floor humble, and when I tell her how great she is, she just smiles, almost shy about it, and thank you.
Floor is strong, just look at her biceps in the beginning. But she's still an ordinary humble human. She has some health issues now, which she hopefully have conqeured by now.

Yes, it is really hard to explain what Floor's voice does to you. I can only speak for myself: When I hear her sing (it doesn't matter what song she is singing) the world seems to become a better place. In my opinion she has a "healing voice" full of compassion. I would never have expected to become a "fangirl" with my 66 years but this happened and I am glad about this. I have never met another singer who has such an impact to me.

The way she kept it 'small' while we know she's more than capable to belt it throughout is astonishing...I always thought I really loved Floor, but when she broke down in tears at the end of Sleeping Sun in Antwerp last Sunday it just broke my heart (yet strangely in a good way) and I couldn't hold back the tears myself... I hope she felt the support and love the audience were conveying towards her... I simply adore this woman, for lack of a stronger word in my limited vocabulary....
In a TV show they recently gave Floor a phonebook to sing out of. And guess what: It was awesome!
That was on a radio show, which was streamed. And agreed: yes, it was awesome.
Haha Dominika, you cracked me up with your "in a cage with Floor" comment! And then your wonderful shoutout to our Henk sneaked in just in time at 9:55 .. Great stuff. It wasn't mentioned in that short Rock Academy TV-special that featured her at the Tampere concert, but know that Floor was severely bullied at school when she was young. I was reminded of this fact when at 7:23 Andrei asked "do you think that she'd ever in her life imagined [..] to be so loved by so many people?" Floor dedicated a very special After Forever ballad to her being bullied. One of my all time Floor favourites, called "Eccentric". For yourselves, check out the Pinkpop live version with just her and Joost van den Broek (Ayreon etc) on keys: "After Forever - Eccentric Live at Pinkpop Festival (2004)". Warmly recommend to check the lyrics too.
The bullying situation changed when Floor became herself on stage doing a musical. There's your link with her long standing adoration for our "uncle Henk" the king of music theatre and opera. Her father commented on that magical changeover back then in that he saw a totally different & vibrant daughter. Remember Tuomas saying that "she's at home, doing this". Truer words were never spoken.
I've seen Floor's most recent performances with Nightwish after her surgery. You can just see her healing on stage. For that's her home, that's her, that's Floor! And we will see her with her brothers in metal nxt Sunday over here. Perhaps she'll even bring Henk. I'll think of you Dominika when that happens ;) Cheers from Amsterdam!

Floor expresses herself through her training and knowledge as a singer as she does through her own energy, feelings, and emotions.
She's the only singer I know who "needs" nature to connect and re-energize herself, and that connection also adds to her very emotional expression through her voice. She feels absolutely everything!
She cannot perform too many shows without connecting with nature at some point as she did when they toured the US. She took the guys to Redwood National Park during a break in the mid States to take in some very needed energy from nature. You can find the pictures in her RUclips channel community tab.
But as you said, no words can bring justice to trying to figure out how to express experiencing Floor Jansen.
She is truly in a category all of her own.

Floor can bring out emotions from deep inside of you and help you to get them out. At the same time her voice wraps you in a blanket of security and comfort so that you feel safe enough to let this happen. She is healing for the soul.

Before beste zangers i hadn't heard of her (my gifted compatriot) she was known by a minority of her compatriots...metal?. Was a member of Nightwish and a famous artist worldwide but an unknown artist in her own country. Has changed since her stunning performances in beste zangers. Henk Poort was off the radar by many >>> mainly working abroad. Became known in the 90s when he played the phantom in the Dutch phantom of the opera, became a member of the Dutch tenors with two other Dutch singers. Hadn't heard of him for a decade or more. I love watching both of you react to Floor and Nightwish. Such an amazing talent. A few days after the news that she is cancer free, she started performing with Nightwish in concerts on Sunday in Antwerp, on Monday in London, on Tuesday in Birmingham, UK and she looks and sounds so incredible, even though she says she is not quite 100 percent. Love you guys.

Last Sunday, aka 3 days ago, at the first night of the European tour in Antwerp, she gave us THE most incredible and emotional rendition of sleeping sun. It literally moved me to tears in the middle of that crowd but then at the end, 30 seconds later suddenly we could all see why. I think all the difficult emotions of the previous weeks that she must have experienced came out. It was just a completely magical performance the whole night. She had looked genuinely so happy and relieved to be on stage again where she belongs. But then she had that moment where I guess it all hit her. But she gathered herself and it felt to me like after that she just blasted a lot of stuff out of her with every song out after that. What a performance! What a woman! I am still shaking thinking back of it.

I am opposed to using the word "best" when describing any artist, although there are some bad ones out there that's for sure. But since "best" is subjective I look for other ways to describe my favorite singers. I think that "master of her instrument" is what you'll finding how I describe Floor (and there are others, like Haley Reinhart, Giulia Falcone, Diana Ankudinova, Morgan James to name a few) and how she can use her voice. The vocalists I held out as examples, their genres and type of instrument are all different, but they know how to get the best out of them on a consistent basis. Floor hits all the marks for me in terms of her consistent and compelling vocal stylings - I love her solo projects the most. Regards,

You are simply spot on - there are nothing on Earth like Floor. She is a true force of nature, no matter what she sings. She nearly destroyed Ruben with this one - and does it completely in his song 'I don't know a thing about love'.
In 3 of the episodes, she hits the others emotionally hard - even The Lion cryed with the words 'damn you Floor' in 'Winner'

Wow...as usual you guys post and I click immediately. IMO you two are at the top of the list of best reactors on RUclips. I have been blessed with over 72 years on this earth and the number of female vocalists I've had the pleasure of listening to, that can even compare with Floor, I can count with one hand. Floor could have easily gone down a more 'operatic' path and I would probably never have heard of her. But she didn't, she's a metal singer and I play her music nearly every day.
So many people dismiss metal as mindless noise, some of it possibly is, but give it a fair chance, as you two have, and you will discover talented musicians at every turn.

I remember hearing that song for the first time from Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper (I believe it was at "A Star Is Born" or something) and I was impressed.. after I listening to Floor's cover I was re-listening the Gaga-Version again but now Gaga sounds like a drunk barmaid compared to her..
