I hated the original. Floor made it awesome. Everything she touches turns to gold.
I liked LGG's version, but yes, Floor just makes improvements.
So, beeing in love with Floor like you are I really recommend you to react to her Solo concert in Amsterdam singing the old Nightwish song 'Slow Love Slow', ok, I know you will loose your mind, but then we are at least two. Make sure you have a good whisky on hand when you dive into the jazzy lounge.....
By the way: 1st of June I will see her live in Eindhoven/NL and get the first set of my restlife bucketlist done. So excited!!!!
Although the original is great and Floor could sing it just like that or make a powermetal version of it and hit it out of the ballpark she consciously made the decision to move in the opposite direction because she wanted to showcase other sides of her voice. So together with the music director of the band here they arranged to strip it all down to its bare bones and make it as vulnerable as possible.
Floor said she struggled to keep this one small because she is so used to belting stuff out when she is uncomfortable. She is not comfortable with Pop music. Apparently, it was Marcel's idea to keep it small. He pushed her out of her comfort zone. :)

GP42, do all her appearances on Beste Zangers 2019 venue, singing songs also in German, Spanish and Dutch of course. There is also the music from former bands After Forever and Revamp to watch at. You won't believen your ears and eyes. Fasten seat belt; it is going to be heavy!
5 years after discovering Nightwish with Floor with Wacken 2013, and checking all their concerts thru 2018 after that, Floor decided to do this other solo stuff during Covid. Beste Zangers show, cover songs, the Amsterdam Live 2021 show, the German Sing Meinen Song 2022 show, the best rock song and video ever, While Loved Died. No other female singer in the world could of did all this diversity in my opinion. 2 of my favorites from the Beste Zangers show are: Floor Jansen - Euphoria | Beste Zangers Songfestival and Floor Jansen & Henk Poort - Phantom Of The Opera | Beste Zangers 2019 (Better then her the Phantom versions with Nightwish)

"In case you want to dive deeper into Floor's 'Beste Zangers' performances, I really recommend to watch the fan-uploaded videos which have the intro and the final reactions to the songs with them. They are all quite decently subtitled in English and it is really nice to see what's the story to the song for the original artist, you sometimes even get to see extracts from the original performance. And Floor talks about her motivation to do this specific song and her approach on how to sing it. And the final thoughts and reactions after the performance are just fun to watch. Just a small example: After Floor's rendition of 'I don't know a thing about love', sung for Ruben Annink, he, completely overwhelmed and in tears stated: "It is just absurd, how you (means Floor) make everything better!" Goddess Floor is simply the best. She will have you crying like a baby one minute, and windmilling like a maniac 10 seconds later. Give a listen to her doing About Love I Don’t Know A Thing from the same show. Try to keep it dry eye on that one.

Good one Floor is a 6' 1'' Siren/Angel/Valkyrie. So are you going to do all her appearances on Beste Zangers 2019 ? How about Euphoria next although she wasn't in the studio for that one she did it from home because she couldn't travel after a gall bladder operation.

You almost recognised Rolf Sanchez. He lives half the time in the USA, is of Dominican-Dutch descent and lives half the time in The Netherlands to retain his passport. Floor sang Que se siente (hos song) for him in a very different way than the original. One of your colleague reactors said about Floor: She embraces you lovingly, then throw you off the stairs, then she embraces you again lovingly, you forgive and she thows you off the stairs again, and again. That is similar to what you said, that she is a siren that will kill us all. And I did hear Floor make a sound like a burling Elk male. She can do it, and it was with distortion, even.
The guy you said you recognized is Rolf Sanchez. Also, Henk Poort is there on the couch (the guy you saw on-stage with Nightwish singing Phantom of the Opera with her). On the last episode of this season of Beste Zangers, Floor does another version of Shallow as a duet with Tim Akkerman, the young guy with the curly beard. He plays guitar and sings the male parts. It is ramped up a bit in intensity. She said she intentionally toned this one down for effect. In that episode, she is dressed in her tight black leather metal outfit for her duet of Phantom with Henk and so looks very much the Valkyrie Goddess. Tim Akkerman plays his guitar standing, while Floor sings most of the song sitting in a stool so she is the same height as Tim. Then, for the last verse and chorus as the background band is building the music to a crescendo, she slowly stands up towering over him. Many of us in the fanbase were thinking the same thing: "Oh God, oh God, she's about to go full Nightwish on him and injure the poor boy!!" But, like all merciful Valkyrie Goddesses should, she kept just enough of a lid on it to spare the poor boy his life! 🤣 You will surely enjoy checking out that episode too.

The whole concert is on her YT channel as well as videos of each individual song. After the success of the Beste Zangers show Floor did a bunch of solo concerts in the Netherlands. So many of her fans wanted her to take the show to other countries but there wasn't time and money to do that so Floor agreed to have the final concert in Amsterdam professionally recorded and put on YT for her fans and crowd sourced the funding for the recording. Her fans came through big time for her and they even had enough money to do a small documentary about the solos shows. I believe her husband Hannes helped put the documentary together. The whole concert is worth a listen since she covers songs from her bands After Forever, Revamp, Nightwish, her Northward hard rock project, songs from Beste Zangers and her pandemic era covers from home. The audience is about half metalheads and half new fans from Beste Zangers who are more pop then metal fans so the songs are more pop oriented. The whole concert is fantastic and each song is worthy of reaction. Some of my favorites from the concert are Sweet Curse (my top, all time favorite song that Floor sings) from Revamp, Dangerous Games (cover of the song from the Jekyl and Hyde musical from her pandemic covers), Face Your Demons (After Forever) for a little demon growling, Slow Love Slow and Decades in the Sun (both Nightwish songs) and Wolf and Dog (Revamp song that Floor says is most "her", exploring the two side of who she is).

I hear she is good, but I don't know much about her singing, as the gutteral growls stopped me from listening to JINGER.
@@ecbftlTati can sing, clean and growl, and while I don't normally enjoy the death growls I like hers, and she has amazing range...that said, Floor in fairness can also growl, just doesn't do it as much, so similar talents just different creative choices
