More dog collar! This was great, thank you! I’m very new to percussion in general, and after watching a few of your videos, I really like the way you explain things. -Especially the double stroke; that was very, very helpful! Thank you again, and you play beautifully!!
Jacob - please keep these lessons coming - I'm hoping to get a slightly different scale from the same maker as you soon and am loving watching the way you play.
Thanks Dan Dore ! Are you getting the D integral?? I love my Harmonic Sound every moment of every day, please post some videos when you do get yours! Glad you enjoy my playing style!
Hey Jacob - it's an integral f. Hopefully I will receive it early next week. I'm obsessed with handpans anyway so I'm not sure how I'm going to fit in work or anything else once it arrives... I have no percussion experience, only accordion, guitar and harmonica, so the simple techniques you're showing are perfect for me to learn.
I'm very excited for you Dan Dore ! I hear you man, I used to be a video game addict….I haven't played a video game for over 2 months now!! Since I got my 1st handpan video games seem like a waste of time! Please post a video of your Harmonic Sound when you get it, I haven't seen that many out in the wild yet ; ) Glad you are enjoying my lessons!
Thats what im talking about! :D Great tips and amazing flow from 1:50s on... And your dog was trying to accompany you as well at the end of the video with his shaker! Ahahahaha! Thanks for the video...number #2 done, missing number #3 ;)
Thanks ***** !! Yea Brody my dog usually finds his way into these videos lol … for lesson #3 I'm thinking about teaching paradiddles split between the fingers….It gives me much joy to see that these lessons are helpful to some people : )
With these lessons I really see what playing other percussion instruments can bring into handpan world! Cmon, you have that handpan for like 1 month or so and already play much better then other guys that have it for much more time. Me inclusive! ;) Indeed they are helpful and you will see that in some time persons will refer to them when its time to learn/perfect new Technics. Will be waiting for that lessons #3...
@@JacobColePercussion heres the link: ruclips.net/video/glOM_W7GGiM/видео.html He just finished it and id love to get another opinion on the tuning. And hell no to amazon i did allot of research also wanted to keep my business in america typically as close as possible geo wise. But yes sir please tell me what you think.
Mannnn you are the best! There are not enough tutorials online for learning handpan. I am so happy you spent the time to make these videos :) Also I was curious what notes your handpan is? It has such a bright majestic sound, it really reminds me of Zelda games for some reason
I too am a newbie, but play the hammered dulcimer, my handpan is "tuned" different than yours and I want it more melodic than percussive ....would you direct me somewhere or someone else? You style is beautiful though.
Tara Hall Thanks so much! I'm using double strokes between my middle and pointer fingers in a linear sequence. Check out my handpan lesson #1 that explains how to do it Handpan lesson #1 double strokes
