Well Laurence intentions whe dont really now if they where good because of what happend in old yharman there is a big change that the healing church poisend the river under old yharman with the diseace ashen blood. So that he could sell his cure the blood and the white pills that you can find. I hope that he didnt poisend the city. but what whe do know is that he gave the order to burn the city to cinders "unless he already died by this point". You cant forget that old yharman was the orignal yharman. And i think that his intentions where only about welth using the poor yharmans to make the healing church rich. You can also not forget that the first hunters hunted under the cover off night to keep the beasts hidden for the public and perhaps they even killed people that werent beasts yet to protect the city. personnely i think that Laurance was kicked of the throne of the healing church very early. And that other people took charge of the healing church. Yet there are many things that whe dont know about Laurance. But i think that he got what he diserved he knew what the blood could do but he kept giving it
This is absolutely stunning, I love your style and all the little details you put into this. As weird as it may sound, I especially love the picture with Laurence crying, with all the IFs, blood and bandages attached to him. I always thought that the whole blood thing did more to him than just transforming, I like to think he began to regret his decision somewhere near the end, but didn't want people to think his ideas had been bad all along. Another thing I always thought was that it made him extremely ill, like EXTREMELY ill, to a point that he became bound to a wheelchair, which is why he has such weak legs once transformed into that Beast.
I know this comment is very old and that you might've noticed this small detail by now but...Laurence's legs are shown to have been impaled by nails, so maybe he was almost to be crucified like the other beasts we find burning on crosses?
More than likely he was killed (beheaded) by Brador before his corpse was set alight and then nailed up like what happened with the Blood Starved Beasts in Old Yharnam.
These feel like they should have been cutscenes in the game! These videos are so cool! I low them! They really expand the world of BB and make it feel real, strengthening the characters and providing backstory. Subscribed!
I wanted to emphasize that Brador was the executor of Laurence. So I left the original Brador clothes in the game ... but I think it was not a good idea because it confused... U_U since Brador has the skin of Laurence. Thanks for the comment! ^_^

Seeing Bardor fight Laurence reminds me of one theory I heard that Laurence in the waking world is the headless bloodletting beast, and his self regret turned himself into the burning cleric beast we fight in the dlc. I love how this makes me feel really bad for Laurence. He tried to do something good, and it backfired. And he would have been burning for eternity if we hadn’t ended the nightmare.
I know this is somewhat old but I keep coming back to this. This is TOP tier and so well done. The character of Laurence has impacted me really hard and I really love how well this animation interprets him perfectly. Plus his boss theme helps solidify the emotions throughout the animation. Such an excellent track, so good, so tragic, it enough to make a man sick. Really well done, your father Gascoigne one was good too :)

I can't overstate how beautiful these are. The lore is perfect, the illustrations are out of this world, and the audio is sublime, if there is ever a documentary about the game I hope these make it in.
In the scene where laurence (cleric beast form) and the church assasin i think that the church assasin gets his set from laurence. So inthat scene ha must be wearing a forienger set . But i still love it

This is awesome. I don't know if this was your intention, but I think it's cool how your art kind of goes along with his boss theme. When the beast scourge begins, the music becomes more intense. When the Moon Presence is beckoned, the music is sinister and forboding. When he is crying and when he becomes a cleric beast, the music sounds kind of tragic to me. Again, Idk if this was on purpose, but regardless I still think its pretty cool and the art itself is amazing. Great video!
I love that you ask me that question. Knowing the lore, I try to imagine the scenes in my head. When I have the ideas, I put the music and at the moment I make the sketches in small format. And this way it is easier to fit my ideas with music ^_^

I'm 2 year too late for this but your art, not just for Laurence but for every character I've seen you draw, has been absolutely spot on. Any word of praise I can give you would be mere drops in the ocean by this point. I'm a particular fan of Laurence's artwork; I love how well-looking you've made him to translate how charismatic and manipulative he was as well as the regretful, sorry side of him. Complete perfection; I love it. Would you happen to have good quality links to these? I don't mind admitting that I love to leaf through them while researching lore and using them as bases for my horrible writing haha. I don't use these in public for my own gain of course; would never think of this.
The only question I have is when they are summoning moon presence the first time, there are three umbilical cords, however when you go to the Abandoned Old Workshop there is only one cord. Micolash held a cord, but he used it in his Mensis ritual that tried to possibly summon Oedon which resulted in the nightmare

This is awesome. I don't know if this was your intention, but I think it's cool how your art kind of goes along with his boss theme. When the beast scourge begins, the music becomes more intense. When the Moon Presence is beckoned, the music is sinister and forboding. When he is crying and when he becomes a cleric beast, the music sounds kind of tragic to me. Again, Idk if this was on purpose, but regardless I still think its pretty cool and the art itself is amazing. Great video!
I love that you ask me that question. Knowing the lore, I try to imagine the scenes in my head. When I have the ideas, I put the music and at the moment I make the sketches in small format. And this way it is easier to fit my ideas with music ^_^

I'm 2 year too late for this but your art, not just for Laurence but for every character I've seen you draw, has been absolutely spot on. Any word of praise I can give you would be mere drops in the ocean by this point.
I'm a particular fan of Laurence's artwork; I love how well-looking you've made him to translate how charismatic and manipulative he was as well as the regretful, sorry side of him. Complete perfection; I love it.
Would you happen to have good quality links to these? I don't mind admitting that I love to leaf through them while researching lore and using them as bases for my horrible writing haha. I don't use these in public for my own gain of course; would never think of this.

The only question I have is when they are summoning moon presence the first time, there are three umbilical cords, however when you go to the Abandoned Old Workshop there is only one cord. Micolash held a cord, but he used it in his Mensis ritual that tried to possibly summon Oedon which resulted in the nightmare
