Ludwig holding his sword in opposite to how he holds it during his fight is really smart and cool looking, great work
I think it's the same side as in the fight
I think they meant that Ludwig, when we fight him, covers his beast side with his greatsword to show his humanity.

The pupil is even compromised and splitting around the edges, like that of a blood drunk hunter. Very fine attention to detail.
The sheer magnititude of tension as the "you're not hunting beasts" line came through is amazing

I say this again: Bloodborne's background, the whole story from when Byrgenwerth finds the labyrinths underneath Yharnam to the night when the game starts would make for one hell of a show, especially with a stylized animation like this.
What studio do you think should take it? Sony? since they kinda already own the IP? My kinda expectations is a live action series of it where they show how it all went from uncovering the secrets of the labyrinth to being cursed by Kos and forced into a nightmare. But if theyre going to be lil sissies about it and hold back on the blood, the gruesomeness, the philisophies and morals taught by Bloodborne then I absolutely dont want it.

Evem though it isn't necessarily canon, i love the implication that Gasicone wears a blindfold not only to hide his pupils deforming from being blood drunken, but also so he cant see what he did to his wife
I really liked seeing human ludwig. It was awesome how you drew his face during the process of becoming a beast

I haven’t played Bloodborne in almost 10 years since I got the Platinum Trophy and this appeared on me feed randomly today. Likely because I recently googled if the hand lantern reduced your stamina regen in Bloodborne as I thought it did- but couldn’t find an answer.
Why did this not pop into my recommendations until just now?
This is so good. Bloodborne is probably my favorite game ever too.
That shot of Queen Yharnam gazing up at the Moon Presence with the peak of the music goes so hard.

The in-progress transformations here are inspired. An excellent eye. Maria closing herself away, Ludwig succumbing to the call of the sword, Gascoigne's darkest moment. Great stuff.

This would make a really good prequel to the events that took place in Bloodborne if it was an anime or live action adaptation. Each episode focusing on each character with who they were, and the events that happened with them. And this right here is a perfect example of that. Also why tf this doesn't have more views is a crime.

If I had to pick out one scene to commend, I'd go with the Gascoine scene.
However, there is something else about this: When I first played Bloodborne, I was motivated to push through the heartships of this difficult experience by the Lore, which a friend had told me in advance. I found this strange sense of mysticism in theorizing about the Lore and thinking about the origins and experiences of many of it's characters... This is an experience that makes the game very dear to me, yet somehow replaying it could never repeat that high of "a whole world *just* out of reach".
This animation, with all it's disjointed, mysterious voice lines and just fabulous compositions has once again re-acquainted me. Thank you! :,)
...I realise all this praise from everyone must be a lot of pressure to make something similar. Bit of advice, in case you need it: Don't let this pressure you! Inspiration comes and goes. Don't force yourself to replicate explorations you have already made, if you do not see it fit by yourself! ;)

Honestly “Sins of Byrgenwerth” goes a whole lot damn harder than “The Old Hunters” as a dlc name. It also clues you in as to what the dlc is about. The secret sin of the first hunters.
We spend the entire game trying to kill an infant. Meanwhile these old chaps managed to kill the dommy mommy of a Great One so hard her consciousness in the 9th dimension has died. Absolutely based.
