And for most Laurence was probably the last boss they returned to after defeating Orphan of Kos, now that they had conquered the rest that the game had to offer. In a way, the game ends where it began...
I think this track and living failures are the unsung heroes of the OST. This song is legit so good, and so many people who talk about the music of this game forget this track. It’s a crime really.
Living Failures doesn't get the respect it deserves. It may not be a great boss fight, but the music is incredible. Would love to see a reaction to it.
One of the things i love the most about this ost is that it is like a procession narrating the tale of Laurence, how he fell into madness and the spread of the beast scourge, all written in latin
This song is beautiful. So sad and, yet, hopeful, it reflects perfectly the tragedy of Laurence, how his arrogance became his doom. BUT, the song is way better when you listen to it along with Laurence's screeching
All of Bloodborne's ost's are masterpieces but this one is #1 for me! I hope if they make a remake(doubtful) they lower Lawrence's infernal screetching so we can appreciate it more!😭

Laurence's song is the finale/marriage of some of the most major/memorable songs in the game. Pieces from Omen, pieces from Cleric Beast, pieces from the First Hunter, and the finishing resolution. Bloodborne's OST will never be topped for me.
I absolutely love that musical motif the strings play-see 0:38 It adds this tension, urgency, and unsettling nature throughout the whole soundtrack. That being said, Cleric Beast is my favorite track from the album, but I also haven't given the rest of the OST a proper listen. 3:49 i love this part because the music really says "Here is Laurence, first Vicar of the Healing Church," it says, "Look upon him in all his glory!" ...As Laurence thrashes around on the ground. Blindly. Madly. Mindless. Crippled, by his own hubris, and also by you cutting his legs off. It's so ill-fitting that it loops back around to perfectly fitting - by hyping him up so much, far beyond anything he deserves, the very music shows an unbridled contempt for the pathetic, miserable creature before you. "Here is Laurence," it says, "Look upon the triumph of his vision!" It's musical sarcasm and I love it.
