Hey Patch! I think I have an interesting idea for a video. You take the real life requirements from a tank project, say something like the design requirements for the M4 Sherman, and then make a tank in sprocket based on those requirements. I think this would make building more interesting as you would be able to talk about how you met the design requirements and it would serve as a fun comparison between your design and the real life tank.
Dont put too much pressure on you for the channel, i think that quality is more importante than quantity, as long as you enjoy the process. You already have a job outside of that youtube, take time for you, you have 1 life and burnouts are not the way to spend it. I believe you got it tho
Brother is saying he is not doing good enough on youtube while also working his full time job. I admire you speaking your mind and asking for feedback from your community, but I want you to know I think your doing great
DO NOT WORRY about the quality of your videos. I prefer less frequent videos that fit your work-life schedule, with a more passionate YOU. Take it from many other RUclipsrs, don't burn yourself out! We all love your content, and I wouldn't want to see it go away. Stay safe, rest well, and have a great day!
yha yes the Panzer shot trap triangle. yha it was there so the turret wouldn't be blocked by any stowage. also the side by side turrets remember "don't cross he streams!"
love this tank and the quality of your videos, even the silly ones! so don't feel as if you need or should put even more of your time and brain matter into these already cool videos :D
Ah, been a while since I caught one of these, always great work as always, got Sprocket meself now, and WOW you make it look so much easier than it is.
i hear the kerbal space program music and my head is like "where is the rocket?". i was doing some tests with multiturrets and it is a headache to make them match but it is still very satisfactory when they work, i guess the most healty thing to do is to limit their traverse (i havent checked if its posible in the current version) because some spicy things happened on the way. Also i believe you can copy the turret with alt but im not sure about it
4:00 I've actually been wondering that myself a while back and I could think of 2 plausible explanations 1. It's for turret balance. Turret front tends to be heavier cause of all the extra armor and the gun. A well balanced turret is easier to rotate so making the front a bit smaller and lighter might've helped with that. Not sure how much it would actually help though and it honestly seems like a bad way to achieve that considering it creates a shot trap. 2. Aesthetics. No, I'm not joking this might be the genuine reason. Nazis did a bunch of unnecessary aesthetic work on their interwar weaponry (Just look at the pre-war vs late-war kar98s) and all of their tank designs which have those corners just so happen to be interwar. Though this begs the question - Why did they not change it during the war? I am leaning towards 2 just because it's funnier tbh. As for the "space when turret rotates" theory I don't think this is the case. Aside from the PZ.1 there doesn't seem like there's anything that could possibly be blocked by a turret rotating on the other PZs that have those. Hell even the Neubafahrzeug's main turret has a very subtle corner and there's literally nothing around it
From what I've heard, at least for the pzIV, the cut is for the driver's head and hatch when he's turned out, particularly during transport and parades I think? Either way, it gave him more room and would reduce the possibility of bonking his head on the turret.
Hey Patches have you ever made a tank with the absolute biggest engine you could fit on it? I wanna see what you would do with a tank that has that massive engine in it
The vehicle name gave me a chuckle. Edit: I'm not at all upset with the quality or quantity of videos, rather - and I apologise for sounding a bit patronising - hearing how much you put into them makes me concerned of YOUR mood when it comes to it. Edit 2: Corrections.
The tank looks slot like a morbidly obese Panzer 1, maybe in a later video you can take the smaller turrets and make a panzer 1 type light tank. Not impossible considering the T-35 had 2 BT turrets and a T-28 turret. And then the P-1000 was supposed to have 2 Maus turrets
wait if you retrofit this with a bigger , better engine you should get the speed of like a light tank and about stearing you can always go wider as long as you can still get off the ramp/lift thingy OR you can just lower the suspension on the sides and leave the middle section of the bottom of your tank where it is (like the sliuet of an arch brige) whenewer the dev's deside to add bogey (or HVSS or crissley or anything BUT tortion bar) suspension
Could the next video be about a cold war tank build ,more on the american branch ? And man this tank looks good looks like if russia and germany played cool along ww2 😂
On the older versions of the game, how do you move the camera around while in like, the testing mode where you can drive around, without rotating the turret? I've seen you do it.
Flyout:1 dev many updates pre release then a few weeks of updates and then…..dead game maybe? Sprocket: updates pre launch, many updates after launch with constant community updates when builds take a long time (like the internal update) and game is alive and well
Do you take enough time to cool down and relax after work. Breaks are not to be ashamed of as they are important! Also this is a vote for hoop tank cause it is stupid and funny.

Excellent idea
That would be kinda cool imo
yeahyeahyeahyeah, please do this!
It's a shame that you got so low visibility, because your content is just so nice to watch after a working journey😊
Kind of looks like a combination of Neubaufahrzeug and t28
Grosstraktor/T35 too! (I think the first is the same as the one you mentioned)
Oh nvm the grosstracktor was like a smaller version of the nueb
Idk what first one is but yea i can see the t29
*t28/30

This really does look a lot like the German Neubaufahrzeug. Really cool tank design you built here.

@@gammafox5431 I dunno about that. To me the turret seems far enough to the back that it shouldn't really be an issue.
Keep up the good work. you are doing good :)
You can press control and right click too better select turret rings and hull sides
Yesss more spromket!!!!
I would say one video a week is a great amount. If that gives you more time to build tanks or more time to yourself, good either way.
When I’m in an awesome sprocket build competition and my opponent is Patchbits
Hey Patches have you ever made a tank with the absolute biggest engine you could fit on it? I wanna see what you would do with a tank that has that massive engine in it
You could clip a turret into one that you want to duplicate and build it to match the one that you want to duplicate
and this is why i like flyout: 4:20 to 4:32
im just loving it because you named it the big dumb tank
Cant'cha save the turrets like how we can save hulls so as to copy-paste identical turrets without manually adjusting turrets individually?
Nope, that feature has still not been brough over from the last full release version
Ah. Well then...
The vehicle name gave me a chuckle.

Bit rounder and it would look straight out of the Wardens' factories

You got me to come back to sprocket

30 tons for something that big is honestly quite impressive.
edit: 25:58 was more impressive sorry xD
11:45 tell me you have imposter syndrome without telling me you have imposter syndrome
this really does look inspired by a nbfz
Are you able to use your old saves in this update? I haven't updated yet.
No, sadly
