Or, they could make it a rule that the vehicles have to actually look realistic and not like absolute GARBAGE.

Well I mean you say "I don't think it's feasible at all because on uneven terrain the turret wouldn't rotate at all", while the KV-2 exists and had that exact issue. So an actual tank that was mass produced in decent enough numbers and fought in World War II with the Soviet Army gets 10 points for feasibility.
You're right, if I'd seen a KV-2 without knowing it was real id probably have given it a 10 on feasibility though 😅
Difference between that and the KV2 is the KV2 can support a giant offset turret given its turret ring and over structural strength. For thet design, realistically, firing it once would likely snap the structural supports of the turret

The KV2 is more than 50 tons
@@Gustav_Kuriga no recoil mechanism is gonna nullify the fact that there is at best 15-20mm of steel with no structural supports holding that cannon.

Thank you for hosting! Yeah, turret weight offset was a concern, that is in fact why I added the crane, and big stowage box in the back. I like to think the rear half of the stowage box is just filled with a lead counterweight lmao. Shame decals were broken in this update though, and I am sorry you presumably had to remove them, wouldnt have used that many had I known!
Fun fact, the Basilisk started out as an L3 style tankette, which couldnt fit the turret I wanted so I widened and lengthened it, only for it to shrink down to almost L3 size again through development in order to reduce weight.
Next do a contest to see how many crew people can cram into a 10 ton tank. Sardine packing challenge.
Suggestion: Have feasibility be a multiplier, so if it's obviously impossible to actually make, have it be x0 and then it's scored all the way up to x1 for a fully realistic and feasible design.
This would prevent someone from making a 500mm gun on treads.
12:31 It actually was pretty clever to make driver control the vehicle by legs, because there is no room for hand steering wheel
These were cool but I think it would be good to do a quick video to highlight some of the more realistic/better looking designs as even the most feasible of these would realistically just not be possible and I saw some great designs in the discord which didn't make it due to more realistic cannons

ngl Having maximum size of gun caliber just means most of the designs will automatically be within the winning group so long as it meets the barest minimum of the qualifications, and the Feasibility score just seems needless since people can, and have, just made lumpy shapes and had the cannon size carry them on score alone. Just seems a bit cheap.
I might be asking too much. I wonder if it would be possible to have list of the entries and their grades. I think it would be good to be able to see how we performed.

I feel like the feasibility score is a little odd, 0/20 for a fairly good design other than the manipulation to make a fake barrel (the driver position is just fine, irl prototypes have had driver positions that can literally kill the driver, or actual vehicles that have the driver backwards)
11:35 This looks like something you would see in Metal Slug and I love it to death (and I haven't even touched Metal Slug...).

The 2nd from start and 3rd to last Are just so Beautifully Naturally detailed

now, I dont know the rules of the competition, and I dont even have sprocket (yet) however, was there anything stopping anyone from just literally having an upward facing mortar? I feel like you could work around some issues doing things that way, but I could easily be wrong.
also, insane and yet not surprised at all that all the submissions were german themed

I had plans of strapping a 280mm cannon on a 10 ton tank, but the 12 shells requirement stopped me from doing that. The weight of cannon is also quite large. PatchBits, should I still try and make it?

All those tanks can probably triple their top speed just by firing backwards
They usually end up just toppling backwards
you should make it a rule in future competitions that the tanks can't have names over 4 words

Competition Idea: Have contestants design a heavy tank capable of deflecting [X] rounds at a weight of [Y] tones. Extra points if they can survive shots from the side and rear.

Too small of a gun I guess and mistook the minimum speed as more important than it actually was.
in my opinion you should divide the mm of the tank by the fizabilyty 1 bing the biggest 10 being the lowest

Actually the turret of the last one (in your competition) looks very much like a KV-2 turret if it was open top. And remember what I said about the KV-2 turret.
sadly i did enter really small cannon which was my stug with rivets, the next challenge should be to make a universally dispatchable medium tank like the sherman.
