No please show the building, it’s one of the best things in the videos Edit* Ohh and the ranting, seriously I see people going on about a subject, then suddenly stop like it was just adding useless info, even though it gives us a deeper understanding of concept.
Also tip: You can rotate crewman to make them fit into a small environment. Other tip: You can rotate the transmission to make it fit lengthwise to a thinner tank.
The building in that update is very hard due to smaller UI, lack of information, weird hitboxes, and many more but it’s a nice way to build as you can actually fit stuff in the tank rather than imagining oversized men and weaponry
exactly, I had to adjust a lot changing the original design just to fit them inside the tank. The update is extremely good but it still needs a bit of a polish on that
Patchbits. Remember 4 months ago you said:"Hamish, if you release geometric internals update, i will kiss you." Remember? Well, you gotta kiss em now Patch. Good luck. Edit: Did u do it yet?
what about making somthing similar to a m3 lee or somthing with a casemate plus a turret? I think that would be a very interesting video with new internals
Now that we finally have geometric internals, it’s time to ask for an LVT-4 inspired vehicle again. Your choice of armament, but the sillier the better!
Personally, to me, the only way they can make this game any better after the geo internals get fully worked out and implemented is to add crew comfort mechanics. People seem to forget the fact that the crew is human and works better in tanks that are spacious and easy to operate. For instance, you have to be sure to put the ammo in a convenient place where the loader can easily get to, pull the shell out, pivot, and load it into the breach. If the ammo is in an awkward spot, if the loader has to fenagle the shell out of the storage compartment, it would add a second or two to load time. If the crew is jammed into each other in an indecently tight space, their performances would be screwed, etc. I think that would make it even better as it adds realism, but who am i to judge if the decisions of the holy devs
The vertical slewing problem is probably down to the gun's Center Of Mass being too far forward/backward in relation to the pivot point. Fiddle with the counterweight and gun placement til it's as close to the pivot as possible.
I did mess around with the hole tool a little bit and it seems to work a lot better when you delete the face and fill it back in that way its just a single face with no points in between, it usually gives a close to fully even point distribution
Seeing the M18A2 would be cool! Might be a little hard to do. It was made by Venezuela during the 70s or 80s I believe. Its a M18 with modern upgrades!
Ive tried to make a tank in the geometric internals update. Ive made it, but it made me realise how small i really make my tanks. Seriously, the 2 crewmen in the turret barely have their heads up where the turret is
Hello. This is the first time I ever commented on your video and tell you what, I am so damn impressed I am so happy as a tank enthusiast. This is amazing. Thank you very much for making this video, this vehicle. I am glad to watch 20 minutes of fantastic tank building time. I would love to see you recreate the British crusader mark 2. That tank has some interesting turret design and could be a change trying to fit many things in a small tank. Please if you read this comment consider my idea. 😁😁😁
I was going to edit the video to suggest another idea. As you said the patch that came out that deals with the shell size and how it effects the reload etc. a perfect example to try for a build is the good old Stalin Fridge as the nickname goes. You will have to build a big gunned vehicle and having an enclosed tank such as the mighty KV 2 is a great future build idea. You aslo have mentioned it in the video. As of recent the KV2 platoon in war thunder mobile has become one if not my favourite tank in the game. It's reload is massively slow. It takes ages to reload but almost every shot is a guaranteed kill. That shot can take down bunkers I swear. Thank you if you read this 😅. 😊😊😊
if you have a two step turret basket, you can have a loader down low sitting on the step, along with some ammo down by his feet. Means that athree man turret can be slightly smaller bc the top only houses two people
This style of video reminds me of Matt Lowne's KSP videos (the VAB music definitely seals the deal) and honestly this style of video is really nice to put in the background while playing sprocket myself.
Something I had a problem is was the turret basket. I could not modify how wide the first basket was, so I could not fit it onto a small tank. That would also be a problem with larger tanks when you want a bigger turret.
Damn it patch, I wasn't ready for that intro, gotta warn me next time. lol, I'm loving the geometric internals so far, though I do wish the breach was a bit less ugly.
In the last version you can make custom mantlets by putting an actual vertically aligned second turret in. It also allows you to add things that move with the gun. I personally think it's better than the base mantlets because you can easily make a vertical stabilizer.
I'm sure someone else has said it already but the reason the laying drive sucks is the custom mantlet. They add weight to the drive that are either a pain to balance or can't balance at all.
The release is quite rough but with how long we've waited, i dont mind in the slightest. And now it'll be a lot easier to make incremental updates which is my preferred way of early access
Hey patch, love the idea of the most stuff in the smallest space, but flip it, the most space with the least amount of stuff. I wanna see soooo much wasted tank space😂😂😂
I've noticed that breeches look about half as big as they realistically should, which is weird to me. That 76mm gun breech looks like a 37mm. I wonder if it'll stay like that when it finally releases.
I wonder why positioning the limps of crewmembers doesn`t work the same way the powertrain drive shafts work, i think that would make it way easier to adjust them.
If you want good models to use as reference for your tanks you could pull up warthunder dont even hace to actually play it all locked vehicles have a preview feature and you can look around at the outside of the tank
I like the new update but i hope they also add the stuff the comunity was asking for like working machine guns and more muzzle breaks instead of only doing bug fixes for the next 2 years
Uuuu big mistake. I know this is not a proper M-18, I know, I know. But it's a inspiration just to do a open top tank, and with that in mind the machine gun next to a cannon is wrong.
No please show the building, it’s one of the best things in the videos
Edit*
Ohh and the ranting, seriously I see people going on about a subject, then suddenly stop like it was just adding useless info, even though it gives us a deeper understanding of concept.
THIS!
Preach 🙏
building is the best part 😢
The combat is just the cherry on top, and while good, doesn't make up most of the satisfaction I get from sprocket
just started to get a grip on sprocket, I guess not
Every new player to sprocket rn
E
I have played it for a very long time and this update really made me have to relearn most things, but I am happy for it
you can still play 0.127
If ya have questions and stuff I recommend u join the official sprocket server, i did and its a lot of help
Also tip, put a crewman at the start to the side of the tank to use as an unit of measurement to avoid having really cramped tanks
Also tip: You can rotate crewman to make them fit into a small environment. Other tip: You can rotate the transmission to make it fit lengthwise to a thinner tank.

Well it's an alpha you have to opt in on it shouldn't be surprising that it isn't entirely polished yet
It will need some (a significant amount) of tweaking fs
Patchbits. Remember 4 months ago you said:"Hamish, if you release geometric internals update, i will kiss you."

NOOOO, MY PIN FROM U DISSAPEARED
NEVER FORGET THE SMOOCHIN

Patchbits making fire after fire tank over and over again (love your vids bro and your rants are funny)
came for the tanks, stayed for the tanks (and endless rambling)
also stayed for the planes, i love planes
@@rebel6301true
I didn’t even start the video and it immediately looked like as a m18 hellcat, so nice job.

Wait, is it possible to make the shitty little italian one man open top now?
yes.
The MIAS/MORAS 1935?
I think you should make your new tanks significantly bigger so you can fit the crew and components inside comfortably. Maybe a medium tank 🤔
Can you make a WW1 British Mk1 with the new internals? I think that would be fun now
Non volumetric sprocket has a more fantasy and cartoonish feel, while volumetric sprocket feels more gritty and visual novel like.
You could call this a spiritual replica haha
I'd definitely be interested in seeing more of those!
I did mess around with the hole tool a little bit and it seems to work a lot better when you delete the face and fill it back in that way its just a single face with no points in between, it usually gives a close to fully even point distribution
You can clip crane holds in the hull and make them look like rivets
Seeing the M18A2 would be cool! Might be a little hard to do. It was made by Venezuela during the 70s or 80s I believe. Its a M18 with modern upgrades!

With the new internals IFV builds can now have guys setting in the back.

Make a tank made out of crew members

You could try rotating the gearboxes. If you rotate them 90 degrees on the Y-axis, you can fit them side-by-side next the engine for example.
Never thought the update looks so good
So eager for the combat scenarios to get added back in
The release is quite rough but with how long we've waited, i dont mind in the slightest. And now it'll be a lot easier to make incremental updates which is my preferred way of early access
If you search up "M18 Hellcats in Yugoslavia" you can see the bare mantlet. (or however you spell it.)
Hey patch, love the idea of the most stuff in the smallest space, but flip it, the most space with the least amount of stuff. I wanna see soooo much wasted tank space😂😂😂
Do something with a 183mm! Need a dapper derp gun build!
Add a working machine gun in future tank, like using double cannons. One main cannon and second is 12.7 mm gun
Im starting to think we will never get the ratte 2000…
(Fair enough)
How do you get all those details, do you have a second monitor? I usually use my memory from other games, or quickly get an image.
Building is really the best part of the video, at least for me.
its always a good century when patchbits uploads
Patch, the turret automatically creates its own hole.
I discovered that 2 days ago.
watched this while making a FT-17 :D
With geometric internals added let us see you trying to squeeze every guy into a Char 2C 😂
If you want good models to use as reference for your tanks you could pull up warthunder dont even hace to actually play it all locked vehicles have a preview feature and you can look around at the outside of the tank
You gotta build the GW Tiger with the 17 cm Kanone 18 in Mörserlafette 172.5mm gun
I like the new update but i hope they also add the stuff the comunity was asking for like working machine guns and more muzzle breaks instead of only doing bug fixes for the next 2 years
nice, as always!
NICE NICE NICE, dont have time to look at the vid, but i liked it and went here to comment-
I like what you're doing keep it going. Peace!
Rain
Open top tank
Fucking great engineering
you should try to make a WW1 Mark IV MALE tank and try to do it with Geo internals id love to see that
What about a landship of a tank?
This is perfect ☺️
that "hallo everybody, mine name is Will" at the start, was a little jumpscaring
I really have to get this game
Pretty good scout tank.
congratulations on 25k
In Sprocket you only need to shoot down the loader to win. Enemies will only need a rifle here
Can we lay down the driver in front center to get a sharp slope and pointed nose?
heya patchbit! How do you select more than two points in this version of sprocket?
Shift click
the "super hellcat" has an exposed mantlet
"Rain"
"Open top tank"
"F###### great engineering"
make a crew less turreted tank or a all the crew in the turret it can be done know.
I love the building
mini hellcat
literaly historical hellcat
How did you get rid of the turret drive when making the custom mantlet?
It's just hidden inside the mantlet
@@PatchBits Ah, cheers for that 👍🏻
crew member positioning has to be my least favourite part of the update, I wish we at least got the option to make them a little shorter
Why when I open sprocket steam I can’t see my saved tanks I didn’t download any mods I don’t understand
T28 hull with a t30 turret?
hello good sir ive been watchig your vids for a while now, maybe i missed something how do you make custom mantlets in this game thanks
Try to make the T-35 >:)
Purple
Make sturmtiger 👍
Is this in the Alpha version of the game or is this in the base game?
Alpha
Can you build the "Bandkanon 1C" next?
Ps: I love your videos :)
how were you able to place ammo even though the vehicle is open top?
There's no longer a difference between inside and outside the tank in geometric internals , code-wise
Rivet Rivet 🐸
How do you get geometric internals?
Watch patchbits' first video about the update (pretty sure it's there)
Uuuu big mistake. I know this is not a proper M-18, I know, I know. But it's a inspiration just to do a open top tank, and with that in mind the machine gun next to a cannon is wrong.
tamnke
So they gutted the entire game to fit a new building system…. huh.
you can still play without geometric internals.
hello c:
