Exclusive EDSA Bus lane - Santolan

- The exclusive EDSA bus lane is intended for commuters.
In fact, these buses are able to move hundreds of thousands of commuters, while only occupying a single lane of the highway.
Those drivers or riders who misuse the exclusive bus lane are at risk of being issued with expensive penalty tickets - aside from the risk of accidents.
For those who say the riders were only 2 feet inside the bus lane, if they aren’t doing anything wrong then, why do riders always leave the bus lane when they see enforcers?
Kadalasan ng "riders" are, honestly speaking, dummmbb at walang utak.
Same lang toh sa pag-counterflow nila at pag-overtake kahit single o double yellow lane
These people dont know how much delay they are causing. 5000php seems not enough
Confiscate the vehicle....
Eto yung mas tamang komento @@psalmo15
@@psalmo15 Yeah. I agree. For those that are not deterred by a php 5000 fine, then confiscate and sell their bike. Say, three strikes then your bike is ours.
@nigelcarter9551 2 strike and you are out dapat
its not that they don't know they just don't give a damn the rules do not apply to them these lowlifes feel they don't have to obey the rules of the road frst offense p7 k suspend the license for 30 days so they can walk or ride the bus
If there's ever a way to get up on the MRT tracks I'm pretty sure these same violators would use that space as well to get past the traffic.
100%
They're already driving on the sidewalk, bike lane, bus lane, counterflow...
For sure if they could get onto the MRT, some would try driving there too.
Dont underestimate these kamotes and DONT give them ideas. 🤣
Other than the traffic violation they also impeded the flow of traffic because they have to be flagged down.
I totally agree with you regarding how the bus lane works. I've used it several times always amazes me how smooth my ride was.
The surprising thing when you study urbanism and road engineering, is that more lanes on a road does not automatically mean a better traffic flow.
The function of roads at the end of the day, is to create a space to transport people (and goods). The car industry not only of our country, but also the country we model it from, the car industry of the US, has brainwashed us into a car-centric approach to urban planning.
It has affected us so much so, that having a car is a cultural signifier that someone is better off in life; in contrast to viewing someone who commutes as someone who may have less financially.
Our government celebrated more people having more cars these days as a signifier that there may be less poor people these days. And then forget to upgrade public transportation options. Hence we get a congested metro manila with cars carrying one or two individuals, while public transpo that carries tens or hundreds in the same amount of space get rear ended by bad policies.
Look at the happiest places on earth. They are not car-centric. Their public transpo are usually top notch, heck people ride the bicycle to work, dates, leisure, etc.
Everyone uses public transport. Even the the rich. Because it's easier, faster, and overall better than bringing a car.
A wise man once said "A developed country is not when the poor buys cars. It is when the rich take public transport."
You have to factor in the climate in those "happy places." It's way easier to bike around when it's dry and cold. Different story on our hot and humid tropical climate.
@@marionsanpedro277 Not always. Metro manila has perfect riding weather all year round when compared to how miserable riding in winter is lol
Weather no longer becomes a factor if your infra is good enough. If your infra is bad or nonexistent, you're not gonna attract people to bike even if the weather is perfect.
All the comments that are anti-bus lane are probably the ones who break the rules.
Good job SAICT, thanks GA
I think that the ride hailing companies should be made accountable as well with their drivers actions.
I think that you should be held accountable as well for the actions of others
@@mascleboy if ride hailing companies wont accept responsibility for their rider's actions, they should not operate at all
@zentai6921 they really dont. Did you know that Uber calls their drivers, "driver-partners" they are not employees of uber. They do this to mitigate the costs incurred by the drivers while "working" for uber. This is then mirrored by majority of ride hailing companies all over the world
@@mascleboy aaaand that is why uber is no longer in business in this country. Good thing then that their riders still have to wear their logos and thanks to channels like GA, people know which companies to avoid. Because word of mouth can hurt these companies much much more than any fine... right ANGKAS and MOVE IT?
Hey GA i miss those violators who tries to argue 😂
+1
If there is no plate number. Impound it.
They flagged down a motorcycle today, for using the bus lane.
At first he appeared to comply, but then he suddenly ran away.
No plate :(
Unfortunately it's a very common issue with riders failing to stop or running away. Usually there are several that try every operation.
Sometimes cars do it, but it's very rare.
@GadgetAddict That's why the enforcers need some sort of device to prevent motorcycle riders from running away.
CG are useless. Chinese and mc drivers can fool them.
no OR/CR, no plate impound 😅
At this point, dapat impound na agad yun motor or sasakyan eh.
kamote always follows the path of least resistance.
Looks like we need a scarecrow there. 😂😂😂
Lack of discipline those riders!
Wag na ninyo pagtanggol ang mga violators. Hindi din yan "tyranny". Batas trapiko lang yan. Privilege ang pag maneho.
Tama.
Good job
That thumbnail tho... EDSA *BOSS LANE* . Certainly, they are at "boss"salary grade since they can afford to pay the penalty.
That getting ahead of others mentality prevalent with MCs
hello GA, please create a timer for the MCs as to which of them will stay on the bus lane longest upon seeing the enforcers and let's make it championship or a hall of fame format hehe
Seems like P5,000 fine is no longer a deterrent for MC taxis. Increase it to P10,000 then.
I think Suspension of drivers licence for 1 yr would be
1st lol stay safe out there for everyone
former mmda chairman tolentino caught having two mmda escorts (in disguised as policemen) to avoid traffic.
sp escudero’s driver recently was apprehended for passing the buslane. were not sure though if sp was inside the vehicle cause it sped off immediately. (your guess is as good as mine).
gov singson also was caught passing by the buslane, was apprehended but his blinkers were never confiscated.
sen. budots revilla also allegedly seen passing by the buslane but was let go by col nebrija
do filipinos really don’t have discipline or traffic is really the one that brought out the worst in us?
did increasing the penalty in the violation of the buslane really helped ease traffic in edsa?
LTO should also deputize mmda enforcer if the violation is bus lane violation.
Hey Gadget Addict, just want to ask if is it legal for the Parking Management to check our OR/CR and input our details to their system upon exiting? I'm concern about our data privacy. TIA!
yan ang pinaka magandang spot hahaha araw araw
MMDA would say it’s stupid to paint the concrete barriers with camouflaged prints. They’ll say it is not stupid to allow camouflaged personnel to stand and walk in the middle of EDSA.
what if kung ung mga joyride, angkas and move it etc na nahuli. pede ba nila report un sa mga companies para mabigyan ng demerit din. safety purposes nga diba pero sila mismo sumusuway
They should keep track of the companies that the mc taxi belongs to and the number of violations so they can be punished accordingly, being held accountable for failing to vet, discipline and remind drivers of their contracted duties to the safety of and proper service to their customers.
I'm all for the bus lane but the MMDA needs to put barriers all throughout EDSA if they cant afford to have enforcers there 24/7. If irresponsible motorists crash into the barriers due to overspeeding, then thats on them. Penalize them + make them pay for the repair
BBC Bring Back Col. Nebrija
yaman nmn ng mga pinoy..
This is the story testify why Goliath was afraid to David. Maybe the bus driver laugh himself while this motorist touring the exclusive lane.😅😅😅
❤❤❤
Make a 2 decker buses with wifi and multiple stops and compliments it with last mile pedestrian friendly walkways and amenities. Let us think outside of the box and start a green revolution in transport.
Try that in the US. $425 penalty for carpool lane violation plus court date.
Additional violation should be added to those with no plate numbers attached..
Hahaha his in a racing lane,, the bus need give way to this cycle for the win ,,hahaha only in the Philippines 💪💪💪
affordable penalty of 5K, sana all may pambayad.
Congrats to the lucky winners of 5000 pesos
Thank u to all kamote riders good income for the government
MMDA should have another officer on MC to catch who ran, that's not hard to do i think on their part?
Delikado p rin po kac un boss. Nauso n kac ang bastusan dto s bansa ntn. Dpat tlga huminto pag nflag down e kaso nga for the longest time nasanay s pakiusapan kaya ngaun alien n maxado ung tutuluyan.
❤🎉❤🎉
If you Buy brandnew MC automatic there is Temporary Plate number?
Any vehicle that doesn't have an LTO-issued plate, should have a temporary plate.
And yes, typically it's the dealer that will provide you with a temporary plate.
Most of the MC taxi drivers I speak to (legal and illegal), generally say they take home between P1500 and P3000 per day.
The illegal habal-habal can earn more because they don't have the same overheads, and they often overcharge their passengers.
According to Angkas CEO, their "riders make an average of P40,000 a month".
But still, they would feel the bus lane penalty.
The truth is that many riders don't expect to ever pay the penalty because they're confident in their ability to avoid,.evade or flee from enforcers.
@@GadgetAddict yes that's possible for those who are full time habal. im from joyride but i have a regular job, i do 4-5 hrs habal during my day off and i can earn around 600 - 800. that's why im sad whenever i see mc taxi violating traffic laws. it takes so much from what they earned.
They don't get it. You step inside that line you will die if run over by a bus. Its not about having 1 feet or in the middle, its about going onto the bus' right of way which is not only dangerous for you but for your passenger (be it a car or a motorcycle)
Their insurance should go up if they get a lot of ticket
Can i ask, where is bong nebrija? We missed him!
He's teaching in the MMDA academy.
How much do they charge their passenger versus the penalty for the violation - don't they even think of that?
Pag nagsama ung bus at motorcycle madaming aksendente👇🤣
do they confiscate license now?
I didn't knew that.
SALUTE to personnel/ Government / LGU's that uphold the LAW, reinforce RULES and REGULATIONS, sana ALL maka-INTINDI 😅🤣😂😆
charge them P10,000, maybe theyll love it
People violating the bus lane everyday is beyond me
much better to impound the motorcycles.. para mas matuto mga yan..
Consider this violator as donors to the government.
Angkas, joyride, moveit, etc. should be penalized as well for hiring riders that disregard traffic laws that may result in reckless driving
Here's a hood question for you. How many buses per hour, on average how many passengers per bus, and how much in pesos vs. USD is it to ride, last how long from one side to other of EDSA.....
It would be an awesome consensus to know. If it can be accurate that would be great.
Congratulations they have 5000.😅
a rich...people.....a lot of money...
Paybtawsan from kuya Wel 😂
Motorcycles should wait like cars if there is a bus lane, kulang ung fine may lumalabag parin, dapat cguro suspension Hindi na fine😂😂😂😂😂😂
Impound the violators
Please make the penalty to 10k...
change the name "bus lane to boss lane" 😎
dapat ang multa 50k agad first offence 😅😅😅
Ask the bus riders, who surely outnumber other road users by a lot, what they think about the bus lane system...
Let’s not justify wrong doings. Lack of discipline is one of the reasons why we do not progress as a country
dapat me sariling lane ang mga KAMOTE RIDERS
if 2 wheeled ebikes were patronized instead of gas scooters the outcome would've been much better
5k lang naman baby😂
Let's change the edsa bus lane to esda boss lane. Because alot of people going inside bus lane is feeling entitled. 😂
Kamostes nightmare😂
galante talaga tong mga to mag donate.
Most of the bus lane violators are riders ,bad luck give them a higher fine they are stubborn.
pasaway tlaga
Boss lane 😂
This is clearly lack of road discipline amongst motorists. Don’t really matter whether the penalty is up to 5K still you have a handful of violators. Automatic impound and license confiscation is a better deterrent to these fools TBH
Increase to 10000 first offence
Why to LTO deputyised i enforces have to confiscate licenses
Still so many doesn't understand the bus lane. Too many stupid reasoning
May bantay man o Wala dapat Hindi dumaan dyan.. pagnahuli kumakati Ang ulo..
