I went to my local warehouse and the guy was kind enough to file the heads of the screws with a wheel enough to fit into the strap hole no drilling needed.
Just watched another vid on RUclips for the same reason. Take a flathead screwdriver that will fit into one of the two exposed cut out “holes” on the c clip. Rotate the screwdriver and you can get the clip to back out. If that doesn’t make sense, search via RUclips “remove Dunlop guitar strap lock” and you should find the same vid. Also, if the flathead is too small you won’t get enough leverage. Midsized worked for me. Actually, here’s the vid: ruclips.net/video/K02S_hIT7w8/видео.htmlfeature=shared

I can’t get the lock off the strap. That little c clip won’t come off, and ideas?

Thanks for the video! Do you know the size of the e clips/retainer clips? I've somehow misplaced mine. Are they 8mm in diameter?
I would like to know what the diameter of this strap lock is, do you know about it?
why not use the old screws. thats what I always do... its easier
I think I need glasses?
