    thank you so much for this video! a lot of helpful insights. I'm on a retail side and struggling to educate salon owners/management how important retail is in the salon. good service is great but another way to earn is retail. i just hate it when staff are so focus on price as if they're the one who will buy the products.

    Recommend litely .. never hounding. Some products are needed to repeat the look! Some clients want to make their hair look great every day and some clients don't.

    Great tips! I’ve been doing all this at my salon for over 22 years...Too bad the internet & diversion have taken over so much of our salon retail business. Even distributors are cutting in on our professional profits by giving us less of a discount or wholesale price. Almost 3 decades ago it was a great income in addition to service, now it’s one fifth as profitable. What can WE the licensed pro’s do to get this retail income back?

    I find a lot of woman and men rather get a cheap product and not want to change their product from a drug store because of price ..only a few will be willing

      The money problem.
      If someone tell you they won't buy the better product because of the price difference just aka them.
      "It is a question of Money or Value?"
      "I think it's a question of Value, why do you think people spend this kind of money for they product?"
      Example one:
      "Ah, because they have the money"
      Answer:
      "I understand you, but let's keep real, with money don't spend it just because they have it.
      They buy this product because it's
      (now tell all the benefits from the better product. Give it value, make the costumer see and understand the value of the more expensive product).
      You sure agree with me that this product is just the best for your problem.
      (Modify this to fit the product you want to sell, but always start with you sure agree, because the more yeses you get fro your costume the higher the probability to say yes for the close)
      Example two: (why do you think people spend this kind of money?)
      - because it is the best
      -because it is beneficial
      -because whatever value they see in the product.
      Answer:
      "EXACTLY! People buy this because it's the most beneficial product for they health"
      "People buy this because it is indeed the best"
      "People buy this because whatever value they told you"
      And this way you can get away from the money objection
