They didn’t really show the side of Ricky’s car well on the broadcast, so this is the first I’m realizing that it was an actual hole. I thought it was just rubber build up. That makes it all the more impressive that he held onto it when Cindric was turned into him.

What a mockery that has been made of NASCAR .

I'm trying to figure out how it would have been race manipulation even if he didn't push at all. It's not required to push anyone at anytime, EVER. So how on earth was it manipulation? Race manipulation is about deliberate interference with a competitor (deliberate damage or wreck), or artificially creating a situation that benefits you or your team mate (Clint Boyers spin for a yellow)
The day that NASCAR requires you helping your competitor win is the end of NASCAR

The reason why he was told to not push the 6 is because the 6 is a ford and the 47 is owned by JTG which is an ally to HMS that KL races for. HMS and Chevy would mosty likely be pretty pissed off if he helped a ford win.

@@raymondhoffman4371 yes I know that. I have been watching Nascar for 55 years. My point is that it is a very stupid rule when no major damage occurred to the door nor was caused by him. Imagine everytime from here forward pulling the leader off the track and costing them the race because of a rule that is intended for much more severe impacts. So if you gonna go ultra enforcement on a rule when there is really no reason to do it, then through the other one out under red flag so they can fix it.

  • @gregvandy34

Larson didn’t lift but they rarely lift. They stay full throttle and use the brake to control the distance to the car in front of them. They brake to slow the car. Keeps the rpm’s up, it’s easier to control the gap and the car picks speed back up quicker just using the brake. So he’s not lifting in normal situations, just use a little brake.
Now, I’m sure 5 did use the brake to stay off the 6 but it doesn’t matter. Race manipulation is nonsense, it happens all the time and good luck policing it.
Whether 5 did intentionally stay off the 6, I don’t know. I’d have to see how much brake he was using from 4 to the stripe. It looked like he could have pushed the 6 harder because he’d get the 6 and almost push then lose a few feet. Looked like he was just staying off him and letting the outside line win. So it’s probably manipulation but who cares. He’s a driver, it’s part of it. He’s under no obligation to push.

For all you NON-NASCAR Nerds He said "Dont push him to the win" Which meant go for the win yourself or dont help someone else (the 6 car) win the race. Why? Because this is a PLAYOFF Race. If Brad wins the race it means hes locked into the next round of the playoffs and Larson could have possibly eliminated himself or one of his teammates from the playoffs if in fact he or the 9 or 24 has trouble next week in the elimination race. Facts are facts he was doing what was best for him and his Hendrick Teammates. Brad would have done the same thing if the rolls were reversed. Side note Larson drives for the top Chevrolet team Hendrick motorsports they were not and did not push a Ford to the win over the 47 CHEVY. The 47 also may get there motors built/from Hendrick Motorsports. Im not a Larson fan or a Stenhouse fan or a BK hater but again facts are facts. GO TEAM CHEVY
