- Jeremy Mayfield has endured the most well known fall from NASCAR fame in the modern era. Most of us know the story...but what has he been up to for the last 10 years? Today we find out! He is currently racing in the Grand National Super Series with his own car and has kept some significant artifacts from his racing career, including the Penske Ford Taurus from Pocono 2000 when he "rattled Dale Earnhardt's cage" a bit. Jeremy also shows us his pet pigs and launches his mechanic into a pond!

I’ve always supported NASCAR, even now with Elton Sawyer coming out of the hauler weekly to explain things..
But Jeremy got railroaded.
He was a part of the most popular era of the sport and a winner. Great racer and good dude.
NASCAR still hasn't faced justice for how they treated him.
I hope there's a high quality movie made about Jeremy one day and it has a happy ending.
I doubt if they ever will. Unless the discovery from the suit brought on by 23XI and FRM’s reveals some of NASCAR’s dirty secrets.

Awesome to see Jeremy doing well. He was my best friends favorite driver back in the day. I can remember all us neighbor kids rushing home from school fridays just to watch cup qualifying. It was basically all we had back then. Nascar.
Qualifying was a spectacle back then! That excitement is all gone now in terms of how much qualifying means.
@@Stapleton42 My favorite driver was Jerry Nadeau. Sometimes those 2 qualifying laps were all you got to really hear about him. You literally had no way of looking up anything on the Internet. Was stoked when he went to the #25 car lol
Very happy that Jeremy is doing very well.
My first major video series many many years ago was the series voicing my concerns over his mental state after everything NASCAR pulled on him. Awesome to see that not only did Jeremy win in the end, but is thriving post-NASCAR.

Jeremy has a ton of talent, and It's not widely recognized. Never had a friend that wasn't an animal person...dogs, cats, goats, pigs, chickens, donkeys, or even peacocks. Now Jeremy's turn in the ball. I love this ball, sang to Toby's song I love this bar.

This has to be my favorite video that you have done. Not because of the actual content but because of all the dogs and pigs and the hamster ball. But the actual content and information was great.
My brother worked for Penske-Kranefuss at that time.He said that those cars were the nicest.All of the bars were nicely TIG welded.Great video.

Definitely on Team Jeremy! I think you guys should get some more cars ready. I wonder what's gonna happen with NASCAR, the law suits, etc. The Grand National Series isn't owned by NASCAR and might be a great place for NASCAR drivers to go should they "depart" the series for whatever reason.
I like Jeremy. Watched the interview he did with Jr a while back. Seems like NASCAR had it in for him once all of the legal stuff started. Guy just wants to race and make some sort of living. Look for ward to seeing more of you and him next year racing together. Hopefully you can get some guys out of retirement to run some races with you guys.

Can’t wait to watch this one! I was in the stands at KMS back when Jeremy raced late models and he and Dave Kulmer got together off turn 4 and Dave went outside turn 1 wall in a flat spin and clipped telephone pole mid air!

I made a comment about that in our Spartanburg history video asking what people call them and to say where they're from. There were a few other places that called them jagger bushes too! I was surprised.

Being from Greenville, KY Brewco, the Green's, the Waltrip's and Jeremy were the hometown people. Was sad to see him have his troubles. Good to see him doing better see.

A couple things he said were interesting. I get the impression he wishes he handled the situation with Ray and Erin differently. No shock about how the Penske garage operated, most "teams" back then didn't really seem to work together. I believe Nascar really ran Jeremy ragged for a time, then kicked him to the curb.

When he was racing, you could relate to these drivers. Nascar does not understand a bunch of rich kids racing is not relatable to your working class race fan. Also, BF can say he didn't have it out for JM, but that's Bullsht. BF was the doaphed addict not JM! I hope Jeremy knows he still has a lot of fans rooting for his success along with you, Stapleton onelove.

I used to race with him on iRacing like every other week. I haven’t seen him on in a minute.
I always thought there was more to the story. I think he got railroaded out of Nascar. Its a shame because I was a fan.
i was a huge mayfiled fan and although we will never know the truth i do believe he got railroaded, so happy to see him still racing. I remember the right side exhaust at dover, you could always tell when he was going by and he should have won more races there

When they did Jeremy wrong is when NASCAR started going downhill. it’s sad, but I don’t watch it at all anymore only highlights on RUclips occasionally.
I always liked Jeremy and I still like Jeremy. Everyone makes mistakes and he was never gonna beat NASCAR.

The main problem with NASCAR is the France family, the stop looking at as a sort rather then a business. How the treated Jeremy I am not sure on. But I am sure if they let the drivers be drivers…let their personalities show, the sport would be better off. Jeremy seams like a good guy, thanks for the great content

I agree on Pocono win car... 2000 was new nose. That car has had a older 98/99 Taurus nose "and body" on it.... The greenhouse is 98/99 but tv panel is unique also on 2000... Monte Carlo was horrible in 2000 opener until they let them kick the lower valence out a few inches... By Spring Atlanta the chevys was back even...
Jeremy Mayfield good guy.. I always did feel bad for him.. of course NASCAR railroad railroaded him.. look at all the other guys that got caught doing things that they let right back in within 60 or 90 days.. and I like this interviews I've seen other places too but this was a real hoot... Just to good old country boy..
He is such a nice normal guy I just find it so hard to believe any of those allegations were true
I don't care about the drama that surrounded Jeremy's nascar exit, or what happened with Ray, all of it was ugly.
However, Jeremy was always cool with fans. He was good for suddenly emerging on the camping grounds in a golf cart in Pocono & New Hampshire, pulling up to campers flying his 19 flag and saying Hi.
He really is a super nice guy. Even one of the former Penske employees told is Jeremy was his favorite to work with.

Nascar sucks today. Its was the best in the 80s and 90s. Jeremy probably is a really great person that got ran over by NASCAR.

I'm on team Jeremy. I think he got caught up in a bad deal with evernham & his divorce & affair with Erin crocker. Do I think we're made mistakes. Yes. But I do not believe he was a crystal methodist. Could he have used amphetamines a time or two? Yes? But common sense & his appearance 36:25 & lifestyle tell me he was not a crystal methodist . No one is perfect. I've stepped in a few piles of shit in my life. But I managed to wash it off my shoes & move on.

Jeremy Mayfield was my favorite race car driver growing up and it was sad what they did to him even if he had a drug problem. They should’ve helped them and not bash him. This guy had a lot of career left when they treated them like garbage NASCAR cause they’re a dictator sport they don’t care about their racers.
