  • This video will demonstrate how you can test an air flow sensor using a multimeter. This is four wire MAF and I show how to test each wire and understand the results you get. #airmassmeter #MAF #airflow#airflowsensor

Really enjoyed the test methodology here , especially the dropping of the 5 volt sensor wire ,when connected. Enjoyed from start to finish, cheers.

This is real and practical. No window dressing.

Thanks for your efforts Mr Jamroz, it's the full testing of sensors using multimetre but by my humble knowledge the best reading from signal is with Hrz (ohm) because the MAIN purpose from a SIGNAL is to express the CONTINUITY(the flow) and best in KOER

I appreciate your comment Momo I was taught not to trust ohms or resistance but voltage drop. I appreciate new ideas please keep them coming

    Hi
You did not explain what was wrong with the ground and where and how did you correct it to bring that as a good ground.

The ground probe was did not have good contact. It was kind of loose at first I thought the battery was going down because the lights were on and I didn't have a battery mentainer. The test results were off forcing me to check the ground.

Normally shouldn't one off the pins show 12VDC ? as power supply to the sensor heating element.

You're correct but not every manufacturer uses 12V. This is a typical case where a 5V is used instead of 12V. The 5V is boosted up by the sensor circuitry. I appreciate your contribution. Keep the comments coming
