The first game where the celestial sieged the infernal from the low ground was really fun to watch. Really showed the potential for the matchup in the future.
I think a lot of this revolves around how many tools players have to defend worker lines + how beefy structures are. BOB overcharge, static defense, etc means that its hard to find value from runbyes, but we do see top players doing things like kri backstabs, etc. I'm with you though, I'd like to see some tuning to reward multitasking more

@@MangaGamified that's one of the great things about rating systems! You can go try hard and play fast, but you'll be matched against people of similar skill after enough ranking games. FG also places a significant focus on campaign, coop, and other alternative modes that won't be quite as "sweaty" as 1v1 competitive Edit: also, generally people in RTS games use the metric of APM, or actions per minute - that is mouse clicks, key presses, etc. Its pretty rare for everyone except for the pros (or like upper 1% of players) to average more than 300 APM on a game of sc2, and a lot of that tends to be meaningless clicks. This was the first public look at the Celestials - I have no doubt we'll see some significant tuning between now and Early Access. Technically the animancer has to channel the singularity to get it off and that provides counterplay, but I think the range is perhaps a bit too long and/or cancelling the channel is pretty difficult. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens now that the devs have a month of high level play to balance around

i felt like this is disgusting in a way you can't even have advantage on early, you can't have some cheese against celestials. Either, the only way to win is to build lot of economy to be sure to be able to defend an attack and doesn't let him lead the game to a point he has all the map.
Lol. Their cannon, from what I can tell, says that Infernals and Celestials waged conflict on and around Earth during pre-history, which means all the angelic and demonic iconography we see across different cultures is inspired by these two races. Kind of an "ancient aliens" type vibe more than anything
My question is: Is it worthy to play other races than Celestial in this game? Furthermore, Infernals become 'Sc 2 ' Zergs - unbalanced and useless to play.
Infernals, in fact all factions seem pretty good so far and I think it's important to remember this is more than likely helping tune at a higher level before release. Super excited for release and to see how things go. Mulfs casts have been super interesting.

Right? It's not totally there yet, but the bones of it being a really cool positional matchup at there. Now we just need T3 units...
It feels like the game revolves heavily around deathballing; I'm hopeful this changes going forward through unit changes / meta changes :/

The Black Hole Spam is a major issue. It does too much and speed needs to be reduced for the celestials

Did FG confirm if ALL T3 units will be released in early access? I’ve only seen the Graven so far
The guy in chat was writing-apparently no t3 at EA launch
They just posted on discord today that T3 WILL be in the game. At least some of the units

Could the devs of irl nerf Parting so we can see the actual celestial matchups? =p
Every other Bo5 I have access to is VvV almost, because they were only slightly less broken than parting is. Careful what you wish for 😛

Vanguard was the strongest faction of the frigate patch, and I enjoy infernals. Definitely reasons to play all 3 depending on what you like
Unless you're as good as the top players, just pick whatever race you think is fun. Also, SC2 Zerg isn't useless.
