Thanks for the review. I learned from a pro to only add water to the tank and apply surfactant to the carpet directly. That way you leave no surfactant in the carpet which will attract and hold dirt. Also use a non ionic surfactant for better results.

Robbie I'm really confused here because if you're spreading or putting the surfactant directly on the rug it's still going to get in the rug ... ?
Tell me what I'm not catching on to here ... because I just don't understand the difference ... and I need to know the difference because I'm going to be cleaning a huge rug in my home soon and it's going to be a lot of work ... a real lot .

@@gardensofthegods what he’s saying is if you only put the solution on the carpet and water in the tank, when you press the button on the machine it will only shoot out water so every time you go over it you will be diluting the cleaner and sucking it up but if you were to put cleaning solution in the tank every time you push the button you’d be applying more and more cleaner and therefore could leaving cleaner in the carpet which actually attracts dirt

Very helpful. We are down to 2 kit-kins. So yes some kitties are more FUN to stay up with for cleaning behind. One has the occasional hair ball throws and of course depending on his food at the time the color and stain factor varies. The other little fella is timid and Vet gave him to us as he has a mild form of spinda bifida and no tail. With that comes indigestion problems also work for us pet parents. Both of these kit-kin are worth they work though. It's like having a house of 2-year olds. One is contstantly in his terrible 2's demanding and objecting. The other has separation anxiety for not US humans but the other cat. Other kitty is brave and goes out to fenced yard a lot..he's a scardy kit and own't follow so instead he cries hute crocodile tears until the other fella comes back inside. So they line up for brushing daily and if it' snot on their time or parents try to skip a night it's pout time so we don't skip it's just easier. Plus less hair ball throws.
Picked this machine up on clearance 3 months ago. Assembled but seem to have misplaced the instruction pamphlet so I go..wait RUclips will save the day. Sure ehough Kode to the rescue. And a fantastic job too. Showing all the little elements to taking parts off and even cleaning technques. I'm ready to tackle those two room size area rugs now. (I'm in the midst of my bi-annual acrylic polshing of hardwood flloors and major late spring cleaning too. So have to work around that. Thanks Kode much appreciated. Hugs to your pet-kins too.

Never hold the trigger down when pulling back. Pulling back how the water is sucked up so that would completely defeat the purpose. If your carpet is extra dirty then yes go forward and backward over it a couple times. But never end going forward. You always want to end up pulling backward because you want to pull as much water out of the carpet as possible. That is how you get it clean. And you want to go super slow like a snail's pace to get all the water out of the carpet

Hello there, if there is a lot of matted hair I would recommend vacuuming a bit slower and make sure you're using a high quality vacuum with good agitation and airflow. Then follow up with the carpet cleaner once the vacuum isn't picking up a lot of dirt. Hope this helps!

That most likely isn't matted hair its all the small pieces of carpet fibers spun up with the bristles.

You have to vacuum really good before you use your shampooer. Anything bigger than a grain of sand will destroy the carpet shampooer

You can use vinegar and water if you want to. That's what I use a lot. Or Mr clean cleaning solution and water mixed together works well too you can use anything you want just don't use anything that has bleach and will ruin your carpet.

I’ve got a green Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum and I love it! It’s bagless, so you just push a button and dump out the stuff in your trash can! And it’s clear so you can see how much the vacuum is getting.
I’ve had it around 4 years, waited until Home Depot had a display model but none in stock and asked to buy the display 😈 Got it so cheap
