I THINK the instructions say to do a RINSE water pass as well. Leaving behind soapy water in the rug will attract new dirt faster. Doing a rinse pass also lifts more dirty water out of the rug and leaves the rug cleaner and fluffier (such as if you have a low pile carpet). The other thing to watch out for is the little rubber grey round gasket with the tab on top of the dirty water reservoir tank. That has to be fully seated in place or you will not have good suction and will leave lots of water behind in your carpet no matter how many passes you make. Pet hair will collect up behind the roller brush, so reach up in there and pull it out with your fingers and have a paper towel handy. This product is phenomenal at getting rid of pet hair. I bought an industrial size bottle (3 gallons?) of generic carpet shampoo at Home Depot or Lowe’s. It’s too big to store in the house cabinets. I use a TURKEY BASTER to get the liquid shampoo out of it bc it’s too big to pick up and pour. It only takes ONE TURKEY BASTER suction grab to add to the soap canister. Otherwise you will have too much foam. It has worked fine in my Bissell and is much cheaper in this super large size. It will take years to go through it. Simply take apart the turkey baster and run with the dishes in the dishwasher. FINAL TIP (SAFETY): Walking back and forth to the kitchen sink to dump dirty water (put a sink drainer to catch pet hair) and refill the soapy/rinse water tank will no doubt cause some drips on your floor, which could cause a slip and fall. ALSO just walking on your damp rug then onto your tile/wood floor can transfer soapy water onto your flooring, creating a slip hazard. So before starting to use the Bissell, grab some big old bath or beach towels and lay them down in your proposed walking path. Run thru the washing machine later.
Thanks for the tip. I just wish I didn't have to refill the clean water canister every three minutes. It seems the water is pouring out onto the carpet when the trigger on the handle is squeezed.
I don’t mop anymore! I use a BISSELL steam mop! 👍 Works great to clean tile floors, just add water that heats up to sanitize the floors. You can also add BISSELL liquid floor cleaner in different scents, also have scent discs. The steamer comes with 2 cleaning pads, that can be removed and washed , I air dry them. Replacements are available as well.
Hello from Baltimore Md. I literally just typed in the name and there you were,😊 i Love your review and tips 🤗 Thank you so much, i also used the Bissell clean and protect with Woolite, amazing turn out, Fresh and Clean. Thank you and God Bless.
This was a very informative review and how-to for this specific model. I received this as a present after a few puppy accidents and a family member taking pity on me having to clean by hand. This short video made this whole process a breeze! Cleaned two area rugs for my first use of this machine. Cleanup was a cinch! Would agree if you have a carpeted home, probably need a different machine. This is absolutely perfect for home with area rugs. Only tip I would offer is that if you have hardwood floors and are concerned about moisture being trapped between rug and floor (and then making water marks/ruining hardwood) to possibly move the rug to different area such as basement (if you have one), or other floor that is more protected such as vinyl or tile. If that is not an option, would possibly use some barrier to put in between such as painter's plastic sheeting or contractor bag, etc.
Excellent review! I just bought mine and will be using it this weekend. Your video helped me feel at ease using it the first time and avoid damaging the carpet or my hardwood floor underneath.
Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial. I couldn’t find the power button and after watching your video, voila.❤️. I had to reload the water 4 times but it was definitely worth it. The rug looks AMAZING. I use the Bissell deep clean solution and it worked better than the average solution. One room down 3 more too go.
VERY, VERY WELL DONE. Informative, easy-to-follow, and enjoyable to watch. The speed with which the tips were given was good, also. I feel more confident about using my Turboclean Powerbrush Pet Pro for the first time. Thank you very much, Madison!!!
Thank you! Very thorough yet efficient review! I just bought this and I am excited and also ready to process how filthy my rugs are. Subscribed! Keep up the good work!
Hello, watched your video. You were very informative and detailed. Nice energy & enjoyed watching you. We bought one and used it last night...we were very impressed. What an amazing little cleaner. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you! I ordered from Amazon and put together after staring at box for 2 days:) Easy to put together. so it's go forward and spray and going back no spray. how does the dirty water go back into machine? is it like a vacuum? sucks it up? i've never used one....THANK YOU
I like the reviews. I am having a leaking problem when I finish cleaning and turn off the machine. I think I am putting the knob on the clean water tank tightly. I will try it again when I use the machine again. Thanks for your tips.
Very nice review and tips. I’m disappointed with mine only because the dirty tank has such a small volume to collect before full. If doing a larger rug or carpet it requires dumping frequently. Also to clean around the roller / brush is not easy after using. I had a larger Bissell when I had wall to wall carpeting and it died after about 10 years. Sadly it was much easier to clean up for storage. Both plastic pieces popped off and the brushes popped out. This one you can remove several screws to get the roller out after removing the belt (!!) but the plastic cover with the tiny ridge still doesn’t come out to clean and it traps a lot. Very frustrating if you have dirty rugs or pet hair. Your tips for wiping with a cloth behind the roller is great for minimal buildup. Thanks for the video!
Ive found it really difficult to clean the machine 😢 i use it to clean some nasty messes from pets and kids, and afterwards the bissell itself is a new challenge to clean... any tips for deep cleaning the machine?
Do you have to hold the trigger to dispense the formula and to extract the water into the bottom tank? Or do you let off the trigger to extract the dirty water into the bottom tank?
debating about getting this. i got a handheld which is nice but i hate getting on my hands and knees to use it. I found the portable nice and got rid of the stains i had on the rug for years. BUt again getting on hands and knees be a pain at times.
I just got this for my tiny apartment area rugs. While it definitely picked up dirt, my rug looks the same...I don't understand how your much dirtier rug looked better. I'm debating on getting the 2x pet revolution, but I'm worried about it taking up too much space
I bought one of these and was looking forward to using it but there were no instructions in the box and the directions on the box were so small I couldn’t read them.
I just used this cleaner for the first time and I had to refill the clean water canister every three minutes. The water must be pouring out when the trigger on the handle is squeezed. Very aggravating.
Does it leave the bottom of the rug damp on top of the hardwood floors? Worried about maybe dampness sitting on top of the wood floors -don't want to mess up the hardwood floors
Me either I use the 4X PRO max cleaner in the silver bottle. It has a stain preventive in it & smells fantastic & I have a Bernie a Cane Corso & a German shorthair. You can't tell I have dogs unless you hear them bark. It smells fresh
Does this get rid of odor? I just paid for my carpet in my bedroom to be professionally cleaned. It LOOKS clean now, but there is a faint odor that still lingers.. even after trying the baking soda/vacuum trick
I just bought this. It came with a bottle of Bissell 4x pro max cleaner w/stain preventer. It's a safe for pets formula. My area rugs hadn't been done in a Year. Been handling my parents estate... Anyway I thought it was a great price $113. I vacuumed thoroughly 1st. Put it together in 5 mins. Filled it up w/cool distilled water like it says to & added the cleaning liquid. I was shocked. Seriously. Even with cool water the dirt it pulled was nuts. One catch though if too much granular dirt or sand goes thru to the dirty tank it will stopp pulling water into the tank. You have to take off the dirty tank & dump it. Thoroughly rinse it & the channels in the tube insert. Make sure you line it up back right when you put the tube back in the lower tank. The curved purple piece has to be angled to get it back in the tank. Line up the collar lines. Then it's just fine. Cleaned my area carpets like new. Dried in 2-3 hours. Hubby & I went to dinner came back 2 hours later & the house smelled like high dollar laundry detergent & fresh . I have 3 dogs. You couldn't tell. I highly recommend it !!!
Sound like you have a lot of animal hair maybe. Try giving it a good vacuum before using it. It’s meant to shampoo not really vacuum so it’ll clog and spit out big clunks of animal hair if you don’t vacuum well first
Yes Vacuum 1st. It's only meant to clean. If it stops sucking dirty water turn it off pull the dirty water tank lift out the purple black tube insert rinse with water & dump the tank & rinse it. Just used my new 1 today & it did that & it was gritty dirt that made it stop pulling dirty water. Soon as I rinsed everything & out it back together it was fine. That purple black piece curves at the bottom so you have to angle it to get it in but then it straightens up. Make sure you line up the collar right.i have a model 2806
Just bought one but no matter what I do, I can't get it to spray. I tried resetting the wash bottle several times but that didn't help. Guess I will just take it back to the store.
It was user error the twist on cap of the dirty tank wasn't threading right. I was focusing on the snaps not clicking but that didn't mater. Thanks for the help 🎉
We just purchased one yesterday at Target. There is now another fluid level measurement. Thank you for the quick and easy to learn lesson.
so glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for the review, straightforward, with no small talk or storytelling!

How do you rinse if the water tank has soap in it? Do you refill with only water after you are done cleaning?
Thanks for the tip. I just wish I didn't have to refill the clean water canister every three minutes. It seems the water is pouring out onto the carpet when the trigger on the handle is squeezed.
Just bought one. Can't wait to use it!! Thanks for the video. It was very helpful.

Dyson vacune clog

Thanks for making this video. It saved me time from reading through the instruction manual!
So glad!

I have one of these and this little Bissell cleaner works great.
Waiting for mine to be delivered..about how long until your carpet is dry after using the bissell?
It takes a couple hours to be completely dry

My bissell came with a great value brand carpet cleaner and the Bissell brand, the great value brand worked well. Great review and tips.
thanks so much!
Thank you so much for such an informative, simple to follow video👍
so glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the instructions and review on this machine. I am going to be using it tomorrow. So thanks for the info. I enjoyed your video
Ive found it really difficult to clean the machine 😢 i use it to clean some nasty messes from pets and kids, and afterwards the bissell itself is a new challenge to clean... any tips for deep cleaning the machine?
Amazing. Just one question, you can do the dry pass with the same vacuum or do you use a different one?
I just use this one without spraying out any liquid
Can you take is apart and put it back in the box when done? Thanks for sharing.
Not easily. I don't think storing it in the box would be very efficient.
Your video was right on. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much!
Very informative video, thank you. Also thanks for the tips about not using 3rd party cleaning solution lest you want a soapy mess. Good job!
Thanks so much!
Can it be used on floors?
Simple easy and overall great video, I'm a man and do the cleaning thank you for this!
Thank you for your a tutorial 😊👍🏼
Do you have to hold the trigger to dispense the formula and to extract the water into the bottom tank? Or do you let off the trigger to extract the dirty water into the bottom tank?
It will always be sucking up but you hold the trigger down to release the formula
debating about getting this. i got a handheld which is nice but i hate getting on my hands and knees to use it. I found the portable nice and got rid of the stains i had on the rug for years. BUt again getting on hands and knees be a pain at times.
I have a little green machine and got this for that exact reason ha!

You could always go over it twice!
Great Video!! Just what I neededd!
Glad it helped!
Can you use any concentrated carpet cleabing solution in this machine?
I’ve only used BISSELL’s because I’m afraid of damaging the machine 😬
Very helpful. Thank You!
so glad!
Do think this would work on supper fuzzy/ shaggy rugs or will it rip it up?
Possibly. I'd test it to see how it does on a small area first. I've only used it on normal rugs so far.
@@MadisonLoethen alright thank you!
Does this disinfect and sanitize also ? Or would adding a bit of bleach ok ?
It’s formula should do that but I wouldn’t risk adding bleach.
Make sure your just spraying one run - so spray forward and then no spray/dry pull it back
Does it leave the bottom of the rug damp on top of the hardwood floors? Worried about maybe dampness sitting on top of the wood floors -don't want to mess up the hardwood floors
Yes it is a bit damp always under the rug. I have laminate but if you have hard wood I’d maybe move the rug outside to clean it.
What about rinsing. Do you have to dump the water with the cleaner and refill rinse.
I don’t!
Me either I use the 4X PRO max cleaner in the silver bottle. It has a stain preventive in it & smells fantastic & I have a Bernie a Cane Corso & a German shorthair. You can't tell I have dogs unless you hear them bark. It smells fresh
Can you use this as a regular vacuum or just a cleaner?
It does suction up but I wouldn’t use it as a regular vacuum because of how big it is
There's no filter, using it as a vacuum is not a good idea.
Unfortunately i bought this and while it works well there is no option to clean steps. Any thoughts?
I just take off the front and rinse it and then wipe by where the brush is and don’t unscrew anything. ❤️
No. This won't work for cleaning steps!
Google the name & model number & a manual comes up. It's easy to clean
Does this get rid of odor? I just paid for my carpet in my bedroom to be professionally cleaned. It LOOKS clean now, but there is a faint odor that still lingers.. even after trying the baking soda/vacuum trick
It got rid of the odor in my rugs but I don’t have pets
I just bought this. It came with a bottle of Bissell 4x pro max cleaner w/stain preventer. It's a safe for pets formula. My area rugs hadn't been done in a Year. Been handling my parents estate...

Can you clean your hardwoods or other bare floors with it?
I don’t think it would work on anything besides carpets and rugs
Why would you use a carpet cleaner on hardwood floors or tile when you can use a mop....
It's not recommended in the booklet but there is a Bissell steam cleaner that you can get a hardwood floor attachment for
When drying, do you push the handle down??
You release for the dry run!
Whats the cleaning solution please post a link, so i can buy that exact product
amzn.to/3Vm38YN :-)
I use the Bissell PRO 4X
Leaves a great smell & has a stain preventative too safe for pets too
I had just my drug cleaned following your instruction. Thanks
6:14 Do you feel you should rinse the formula out of the carpet using plain water? (Some carpet cleaners recommend this)
I haven’t done that and I think it’s fine!
@@MadisonLoethen Great! Thanks for the quick reply!
I Think You Can Use A Compatible Carpet Shampoo Of Other Brands Specially Manufactured For These Machines
I have only use the BISSELL brand so far so I'm not sure.
Manufacturer doesn't recommend anything but distilled water & their cleaners or it voids the warranty. Your choice. I just got one
Is there any attachments for stairs you can buy? I have the same model
I don’t believe so in this one!
Not with the 2806 model. I have 1
How long is dry time?
It just takes mine a few hours if I also do a dry pass
Having a hard time releasing the solution water & I don't see the water filling up in the dirty water tank

The spray is not spraying?
Maybe take it apart and put it back together? A part could be off. That nossle that you screw on can be tricky
How Come The Dirty Water Is Not Going Into The Bottom Tank?
it does!
I have my clean water tank leaking and can't find the seals,or replacement parts model 2910.Anyone know why?
I think your nozzle may be on wrong! That's happened to me. Try screwing it on really carefully and see if that fixes things.
Thank you for your video!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Just bought one but no matter what I do, I can't get it to spray. I tried resetting the wash bottle several times but that didn't help. Guess I will just take it back to the store.
Aw bummer! Yeah I think something may be wrong 😭
Does it vaccum?!!!
It sucks up the dirty water and will get some debris but you should vacuum before using it
Is my dirty water tank is leaking?I can't figure out why
Could it actually be your clean tank? If that nozzle isn’t screwed on right it’ll leak
It was user error the twist on cap of the dirty tank wasn't threading right. I was focusing on the snaps not clicking but that didn't mater. Thanks for the help 🎉
my clean water tank doesn't snap in ad the manual says
maybe check if your nosel is screwed on correctly
Can anyone help inform me why my water tank is not connecting?
Maybe your nosel isn't on right? Those have to be screwed on perfectly.
How Much I Would Like To Wash A SHAGGY Carpet With It
Would have been helpful to include how much solution to add to the hot water, seems bissell forgot to include that in the instructions
It’s on the back of the formula bottle! 2.5 oz of formula for a gallon of water.
@@MadisonLoethen Thank you., but I am so stupid . it is on the water tank too. thanks again.
