You finally mention the final boss for every muscle car driver: The Weather.
Unless you live in maryland, then you learn to drive in all weather conditions being as you get 4 season in 1 day🤷♂️😂
@@JamesDavis-mm2mi I live in Maryland, the vast majority of Marylanders freak out when snow or rain happens, despite presumably living in this weather their whole life
Does Maryland even get winter though? Michigan gets every season.
EliasTheHunter god I do not miss living in the Midwest
@@dapeach06 I tried going somewhere in the snow but my parents wouldn't let me go because it was "too dangerous" even though the snow was like 3 inches and my Lexus had all seasons and weighed near 2 tons
Can we just admire how GOOD that color looks???
Forget about the color. Can we just admire the fact that it is a proper 3 pedal manual ;)
It damn well is an awesome color.
Sapphire metallic
It's such a shame we've reached the point where _blue_ is a rare color for a car. BLUE. The color of denim jeans, police uniforms, and working-class Americans' proverbial collars. The default UI color of every computer system I've used since the Commodore 64. Somehow that color has become too showy to be a popular option for cars.
I work at a Porsche dealership and this is consistently the most complimented color that comes on the service drive, next to Miami Blue (which is my personal favorite.)
Still loving those round headlights. Snow capability? Yeah, sure. R o u n d h e a d l i g h t s. Not angry. And no dog nose grill. And a three pedal manual transmission! Porsche knows what it is.
i hope they don't fuck the 911 up more than they did with the 992, i'm afraid they will change it even more for the next years
ps the 992's front is amazing tho

Yeah it`s amazing how modern 911s still looks like the original ones. I mean they got way bigger and have been through many internal and external improvements but you can easily tell that they are the same car.
Porsche 911s are a great example of German engineering, just like the girl in your profile pic.
"Introduce chaos, and a Porsche comes alive." True. These cars are so consistent that you can get used to them easily. A lot of drivers have no idea how good their cars can corner and correct and really performs, simply because they never push it any harder than necessary. When these situations occur, the real beauty of the car comes alive because of it's continued consistency in nearly any real life driving environment
i got a ten thousand dollar repair bill just from reading this comment
Detastic! loool or a hospital bill
Introduce chaos, and sports cars come alive. There's a reason why sometimes your Versa hums a raggedy tune at night. It's dreaming of becoming a GT-R. Supercars are the cars our street cars wish to be. As silly and pointless and prissy as they seem to most car enthusiasts (not the car's fault it's bought by The Rich), they're important to a manufacturer's brand and pursuit of making a better car than the last one.
You sure your name isn't "Dadeep"?

Porsche: when Miata is no longer the answer
For some odd reason second gen Boxters cost the same money as NC Miatas in Europe.
Can you please explain???? Because last time I checked a new Miata is 30ish grand and how much is a new 911????
GreenHellTube that’s weird. NCs dropped like a rock in terms of price once the ND came out in the states. NBs are actually more expensive than NCs. Literally nobody wants an NC here.
GT perfection I think OP meant that the Miata is always the answer... until you can afford a Porsche 911. Which is true! Great cars in their respective price brackets.
I actually went from a Miata to my first Porsche a few years back as it did seem to me to be the natural progression. That being said they are VARY different cars, the Miata is a fun bouncy little thing that wants you to rev and play while the Porsche is a serious machine that although incredibly capable is not exactly about "fun".
I have a Hot Wheels version and I can assure you it's the fastest on the track

“A hellcat and a Porsche are not equal. This is superior and they know it”
I can hear muscle car kids crying from here
Except it's not. Porsche can't provide any competitive cars for $60,000. There's no justification for Porsche pricing.
Robert there’s no justification for spending 80,000$ on a car that can’t turn, can’t be driven in bad weather, weighs a bunch, and can’t get better than 10 mpg
Robert ^^ found a crying muscle apologetic
Eh depends on what you're looking for if the Porsche is "superior" IMO. If you want something with some "character" that sounds like the hounds of Satan and does massive burnouts, Corvette, Challenger, Mustang, hell any old V8 American sled from the 60's/70's/80's with something hot(400+hp) under the hood is superior to the Porsche.
As far as an engineering exercise and something you can just drive every day with no thought, the Porsche is bloody brilliant. Kind of depends on if you want a car that is one dimensional or something that's great at everything except being obnoxious.

It's a miata, it's supposed to be affordable.
When my wife worked in a hospital, she said there were several doctors that drove their 911's all year, every day, even in snow. They're AWD, and the owners are rich enough to replace them in a few years, so who cares about underbody rust?
Porsche has been one of the best makes for rust protection since the 80's. They'll keep it a lot longer than 2 years..
@no name I keep hearing under body coatings do more harm than good since moisture tends to get trapped under them once the coating gets punctured.
@@jasepoag8930 exactly. they work very well as long as you keep them up, but that's something that requires regular inspection and maintenance.

@@lawnmowerdude Porsches exceed in terms of long-term reliability. Part of it certainly comes down to the price and that owners treat it more nicely and are certainly adhering to maintenance intervals and yearly servicing, but there's no denying that the likes of Ferrari and McLaren wish their cars were even half as dependable.
Porsches have always been among the most reliable compared to their peers. I have a 1989 928 S4 with 216k miles on it and only just stopped daily driving it. Its contemporaries were the Testarosa and the Countach. You would be hard pressed to find one with half the mileage my 928 has without having its engine out and rebuilt multiple times.

Kudos to those who use cars like this in the real winter, you gents we salute you!
This video nails why I love taking my e36 M3 everywhere in the winter. Snow tires, proper LSD, a snappy chassis. People think I'm nuts driving a low sports car in lake effect snow country. Others ask if it's AWD when they experience how well it goes in the snow. I had also daily driven a very low JCW Mini and an e39 M5 in the winter.
