That BMW "M" badge @ 4:57 bahahaha that was awesome! Only you Nick! Bout fell out of my chair!
clemson dds never would’ve caught that without this comment!
It is a proper (and rarest of them all) //M Porsche !
:D
Check out his previous video for the Rapid Dry Towel© and you'll see it's debut.
@Jack Shaheen We all make bad first choices in life, lol

The big advantage to having your seats go above 200 degrees is that you will no longer need a vasectomy; just keep your oysters centered on the Porsche crest with the heat on, and it will cook your tadpoles like deep fried calamari. Granted, they were already swimming in circles, but this way is foolproof. That should be a $7k option!
Brilliant! It certainly beats paying child support.
Your car is a stunning spec, it’s absolutely gorgeous. I personally think there’s an elegance to this generation at the new one doesn’t quite have.
Glad that you’re happy with your C4S, unlike the first one. I can see that, even after almost two years, this car still brings a smile on your face Nick. Every day. And that’s what Porsche does. There is no substitute (as they say)!
The picture with the couch on top is so awesome! Cars are made to be driven and used. Love it Nick. Great cinematography as always.
just wouldn't want to buy his car used, been kinda beat.
Commander Russels
But it’s not best or abused, it’s taken very well care off and he loves it and while he uses it like it’s meant to be I don’t think he abuses it and he def takes care of it
@@phillipberk5767 not blaming the guy for using his car, just saying I'd rather buy one that hasn't been powerslid through snow drifts and didn't have dogs crawling all over the seats. The drag racing doesn't bother me much or even the low amount of track use, although probably still be better to buy a garage queen from an old guy.
I’m in the early stages with a new business so no 911 for me yet but a C4s is a goal for me. When I do get one, I’ll use it daily. I’ll still keep my Golf GTI for carrying my family around (and because I do love my old Golf). I absolutely love your 911, just stunning.
I am almost in the same situation, keep working, don't think about buying an e class mercedes and forgetting the 911
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite car channels on RUclips. No Porsche yet, but I'm living vicariously through you!
When your insurance sees the wheelbarrow on the roof rack your premium is going up.
"roast this fat turkey" haha. Nick could be a writer for a sitcom.
2 years already!? Wow, I've been watching your videos for way too many years!
I love that you have a manual transmission. Honestly the whole way you spec`d your car is how I would do it. Love these update videos
Thanks for the update, Nick. We appreciate it. Being a new Porsche owner myself (2018 Macan GTS - with the same wheels as your car!) I am having a blast and excited to drive it every time I get in it. Enjoy your 911!
"Old people having six"? What does that even mean?
You know, six banana daiquiris, six games of Bridge, six dead bodies in the basement.
I'll live vicariously through your videos... no way I could afford one & the anxiety I'd have with things going wrong would drive me nuts. At my old job I used to see them come off the ships here in Australia & drool but that's as close as I'll ever get to one lol
Woah! I still remember the M.. Has it really been 2 years?!
9:29: “heat seating”???
I’ve missed you and your wonderful 911, Nick.
Porsche have always been one of my favourite manufacturers.
1:50 the 911 just looks beautiful, it's shape and lines reveals itself at different angles. Can't wait to see different colours inside and out in your next C4S.
Great work, mate! I'm down the road from you in Greenwich with a 2011 Boxster 987.2 with just slightly more miles than your 911. Yes, that engine note! I smile every time I get in and start it up. For me, I prefer the trunk to the back seat: my golf clubs fit no problem.
Great video. 26yo and until now I wanted the 458 2nd hand but I think the 911 will suit me better. Classy, not so expensive to run, and the 4 seats are a plus.
Our 911-50 Anniversary Model also has the squeaky driver seat. The Porsche tech rubbed some lube on it at the seam where the airbag is but it didn't really help. Also, the driver side window (possibly the entire door) is loose and jolts and squeaks over bumps. The passenger door and window are tight as a drum. Tech blamed it on window tint and lubed the rubber door seal. Didn't solve the issue. Such is life. I really like the new 992 and aim for the GTS. I take it you like to have 4wd in your wintry clime so the Carrara S 4 makes total sense. Thanks for the review!
Porsche is just the best. I don't know what else to say.
Most of us start out loving Corvettes/vipers muscle cars etc but I just bought my first Porsche a 991.2 GT3 with a manual and yes all the HYPE is real Porsche except no substitute. For years I thought what's all the fuss about but owning several new Corvettes then switching over to the GT3 it really was a reality check on what a great sports car should be class, timeless elegance, build quality, resale value what's not to love
DustinCorvetteZr1 mehhhh..... I’m on my second Vette and it’s supercharged. Not sure I can get a decent class of 911 to compare for under $100,000 Canadian. 600 ponies is very fun.... and the whine of that supercharger is heaven!
@@beri232 Like I have said many times the reason why Porsche can charge more money for less power is because it's a superior car I have owned 13 ZR1 and a 15 Z06 both with well over 600 hp 500 hp in a GT3 feels more powerful than a 600 hp vette until you drive one you will not know what Im saying Porsche is a far better car in every aspect I know on paper the vettes performance numbers are similar but in the real world the Porsche is quicker I sounded like you until I made the switch.
Love all your reviews and they helped me a lot with purchasing a second hand 991.2 C4!! Thanks mate.
Nick's channel is one of the few that I'm subscribed to where I don't preset every video's playback to 1.25.
I'm better at 8x
Respect for owning a manual. Love it. That should be the only choice for a 911. beautiful car
its been a while nicky
I like to keep a low profile
I can't believe both you and Kevin did not get the sports exhaust. It's my favorite option on my 981 S. I too have the 18 way seats but in leather. It was an expensive option but well worth it. You should really get sports exhaust on your next 911. It makes a HUGE difference.
Nick, to fix the seat issues... lift the backrest handle up and stick a piece of fabric at the bottom of the handle slot (I use a cheap dollar store glove, and stick the finger of the glove in) and drop the handle on the fabric so that the handle pinches the fabric. Advise not to use too much fabric, use at your own risk. I have the same seat creek resolved by pre-tentioning the handle mechanism a bit.
your friend has not the rear wiper, witch I love it by the way
Just like old times, Nick , Tui , and the Porsche 😬. Love the 911 videos 🐸.
I’ve been fortunate enough to drive this exact car... agree the manual is perfection AND it’s immediately familiar. It feels like a car you’ve owned forever after driving a few miles
Glad to see this one is working out better than the one that you had them buy back, Nick. Have fun!
Great Video. Love to see folks loving their cars.
Great video Nick. About a year ago I started educating myself about 911s. I’ve learned the most about the various models and options from your videos and Lawrence R’s channel (Canada). I definitely want a CS or C4S. I’ve been prowling around the lots of dealers in Washington, DC checking out inventory.
Thanks for the update Nick. I really like your configuration. Merry Christmas!
Love this video! Def planning on buying one of these one day. Bucket list! Ha. But in the meantime videos like yours help educate and entertain Porsche fans tremendously! Bravo 👏
Hi!
I'm a subscriber for about a month. I came across your channel as I was doing some research on purchasing a pre-owned Boxster and your "2018 Porshe Boxster S" video popped up in the search engine. I became a subscriber when I realized that I could learn how to unclog my gutters (success!) . I have come to appreciate your considered opinions on cars and awesome drying towels.
So, thank you for the effort you put into making excellent content for me to consume. I appreciate it.
CT back roads are amazing to drive and this car must feel awesome on them. Moved to Austin for work but the backroads out here are nothing in comparison. I loool forwards to grips home in part because of those roads. Great video, hoping to have one of these one day soon
My MKIV Volkswagen Golf has the same problem with the driver's side heated seat haha, setting 3 usually lights my thighs on fire (sometimes I have to turn it down and lift my leg up haha), I can only assume the seat would catch fire in settings 4 or 5!
Hey Nick, put the name of the classic tracks used on the videos on the description, please. I like them .
I like the 2 tone inerior but I like the Sports Exhaust and Kevin's Wheels.
Sports Exhaust is a MUST HAVE option. I don't car what Nick says.
4:45 interesting way of holding the gear knob
I know the video is a bit old now but for the rear light, replace the bulb even if it works. They change resistance with use and if the computer detects that is out of parameters then it will show a fault.
Haha, that stamp! Thanks for your videos. I've got the urge for a GT3 Touring, and I'm now fully aware of the demons which I could face.
Great video. I love that you drive the car a lot. They were meant to be driven.
Two great cars.
OCD ALERT 🚨
The wheel centres on each car are fitted incorrectly.
The base, pointy part of the crest should be pointed towards the wheel air valve.
Any dealer worth his salt should know that.
Sorry mate, couldn’t help myself.
Gordon
These days, that would be rare if a dealer would make sure of that detail. I think they are just trying to move vehicles out the door as fast as possible LOL but that is an interesting fact.
I'm glad you got the M sport package for your 911, Nick, because if there's one thing the rear of the car was lacking it was more badges.
Glad to hear your 991.2 ownership is going so well.
I had asked you if you knew anything about a GT3 convertible in another post, but as it turns out, the pictures that made me think that a GT3 Cabriolet was a possibility were some sort of Speedster amalgamations testing different systems of that submodel.
I hope to get my hands on one in spite of the 300k+ price tag. We will see.
Good to see a 911 not driven by a retired dentist, actually used daily, tracked, and not stored away during the winter months. Good job Señor
Love the camera set up. Once I’m done in Japan 🇯🇵 it’s straight to find a manual Carrera 4 (4S might be way out of my budget) with your interior, and red or orange exterior color. Certified used of course.
I didn’t know they made a 4S ///M. Excellent trolling!
$800/yr is a great rate for such a new car. Surprisingly, that’s also how much I was charged for my F355, but now all the big carriers want $2k+ for my 4C. I went with a smaller company which still wants $1500.
Merry Christmas Nick 🎄🎅🏻🎁⛄️🚙💨🚓 thanks for a year of cracking entertainment. Here’s to the next!
Had 18 way seats in my Boxster Spyder in the UK. The drivers seat squeaked like mad every bump, every gear change etc.
Went back to the dealership and they took the seat out stripped it down and lubricated it. Sorted never squeaked again.
Common problem.
My Cayman had 18 way seats while my current 911 has 14 way seats, those 18 ways were great,I miss them dearly
I really think the 991.1 will be the one to have out of these new 911s. I absolutely love mine, and that N/A engine is missed in these new ones. The 992 may be flashy and faster, but I dont know, I am not sold on it and have no intention of trading in for a new one
The new ones (apparently) are quicker than the numbers suggest. I think you'll really notice the increase in performance when you drive one in the new Year, and I'm sure you'll be one of the first to get in the demonstrator vehicle from your OPC and get it on your channel- looking forward to that video!
As a petrol head and huge BMW fan I never thought I would say it but I’m liking my P3D+ so much and I’ve acclimated to enjoy the EV to the point that I would never consider an ICE car again for purchase. I fo however immensely enjoy the content that you put out Nick. Your personality and the quality that you put into it is great and very enjoyable to watch. Cheers and thanks for your efforts. Merry Christmas from a BMW guy converted entirely to Tesla.
What do you like so much about tesla?
Quiet, faster acceleration, handling better than a GT4 Porsche, autopilot, virtually no maintenance, 15 inch multifunctional flat panel, efficiency and appearance. The P3D+ Tesla is the best car I’ve driven or owned...it makes Porsche and BMWs seem like dinosaurs.
I'm sure the handling is not better than a GT4. Also, who wants a quiet engine?! The amazing sound is half the fun of driving a sports car.
H Man Randy Probst lapped a Tesla P3D+ around the streets of willow faster than a Porsche GT4. The Tesla set a record for sedans too on that road course. Noise sucks...you get so used to the quietness of an EV and when you get into a noisy ICE car you feel like you’re in an antique dinosaur. ...a noisy low tech jalopy.
Hey Nick! Could you make a video on rev matching and the Sports Chrono option please? I would love to see that in practice! Great video, thanks!
Glad you've got on well with this one mate. Its a great looking car too, I'd not tire glancing back at that after parking up. The wheels look great as well..
Hang on Nick why do you have an ///M badge on the back explain plz.
I really like the spec of your C4S, especially the manual and the 18-way sport-tex seats. However, I know you hate it, but if I was buying one, I'd probably opt for a rwd GTS, for the extra power and discounted options. You really can't go wrong with any 911 model though.
+1 for finding an unused road with leaves on it and making them dance = Noice !
FYI, just read that the heads up display is probably never coming. Apparently they can't fit it in the dash.
Hi Nick. Have a look at the megamounts phone holders. So much easier than that gripper you have. You'll never look back ;-) Love your videos!
I clicked on your channel to see iif anything new has been posted about cameras (coming from 6D vs 5Dmiii video) and then i see that you are a car guy! I'm haaaaaappy :D
Your interior is by far the best looking Porsche interior, even compared to the new 992 interiors.
Dream sportscar with heritage and most unique rear engined chassis.
Really wish you’d review a targa
will do
I second that motion! My next Porsche will be a Targa. (Pending a positive review from Nick Murray, obviously.)
See Nick, that's three of us now ! ruclips.net/video/y1Mk7idVfcA/видео.html Also, try reseating the bulb that's error-ing out, often it's just a bit of corrosion or moisture intermittently affecting the contact.
Make that four ✅
Hey nick I’ve been watching you videos, great stuff you post on here, I recently got a 17 Porsche carrera 4s and I absolutely love this car, I’m in nyc where’s that track you go when you go out on the track
1:31 I-84 at the Danbury exit tends to be a bad place to stretch a car's legs
Great video. Iv had manuals up to when I turned 40. No I want to relax. So PDK for me. I have the Porsche Turbo S. 992. You can’t have manual in that. Makes no sense. 0-60 in 2.4 secs. When do you get the chance to change gear. So that’s why the newer 911 turbos are all PDK 🎉
Nick,
I have a 2017 Base... absolutely love it. Wanted to ask if you encounter brake squeal frequently? Brakes are powerful, bring me to a full stop quickly, but man they love to squeal... (not sure if you still own the car or not)
Always loved the spec of your 911!👍🏻 However, I remember you wanted a PTS green metallic. Maybe Oak? You can get the 992 in a new green metallic without having to order PTS. Try it!😊
I didn't know that you cannot have the back seats (even in optional) in the GT3 Touring, that's sad, but really it's really nice your c4s!! Keep on!
My 2018 C2 has phantom PDC glitches, I’m not close to any car but they go off, then it clears, very weird, happens occasionally
Hi great video again! I noticed you talked about the comfort of the seats. What is a good comfortable seat for 991.2/2024? Regards
love the basic 911... waiting to see the new one in yellow or the classic green,
I have had the sport exhaust on a 991.1 and 991.2. The exhaust on the 991.2 is fine when you are driving at a steady speed or accelerating. It sounds artificial, however, when you back off the gas and decelerate. The pops and crackles are higher pitched and less pleasing, in my opinion, than in the naturally aspirated 991.1. I would not get the exhaust again on a 991.2. I don't think Nick is missing out much not having it on his car. Perhaps, my opinion would be different if I didn't have the more pleasant experience with the exhaust on the 991.1
I truly love the rear screen wiper
Another nice video Nick!
P.S. IMHO, looking at the rear, your 991 is nicer and more elegant than the new 992
Idk man I love his car but the 992 is potentially my most favorite design in decades.
Couldn't agree more. The new 922 rear is too round.
Other than the leather trim I probably would have ordered my 911 the same way. Except the awd. Would like to know what the long term reliability is of this model as I would probably keep it for at least 5 yrs
This is the EXACT spec I’m looking for. Same color, same wheels, same interior options. I’m going to buy one within a year or so, and live in Philadelphia, not far at all. Can I buy yours when your ready to sell?
The 22-tone inferior looks very classy.
The gorilla gets more clever with every new video. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
$780 insurance for the whole year or 6 months??
Man, if it's for the whole year, I'm really getting ripped off. Who's your company?
Nick , please I’d also like to find out who you are using for insurance to see if I can lower my rate… thanks
The best option is the rear wiper blade, you can't go wrong with that.
Nick, your videos are both entertaining and informative. I live in Pike County PA and own a SO F13 M6.Yes, I know what you think of the new M's, but that's cool - it's all good. A friend of mine who lives in Rockland NY has a 911 itch and is torn (for financial reasons) between an 06 manual and an 09-11 PDK. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
I see 2018-2019s going for 90-100k I aspire to have one and love your video , I wonder if it would be settling not having the turbo S but it’s a special car in its own
i always thump up your videos before they even start
Thanks Nick, fab video as always
Great as always Nick!
Great video, very informative. Love the deviant stitching.
Is the GTS then the perfect compromise between the S and the GT3? I wonder? I'm in an S now, thinking GTS next as I find the S too refined!
Yay! A new Nick Murray!
Hey Nick. It’s Nick Salt. It’s raining here in Blighty again. I watched MImposs Fallout last night. Was that you selling the Plutonium under the arches first 15-20mins. Did you have a stunt double or did you really get shot?? Try the XC90 T8 next time you have chance...
Who is your insurance carrier? $800 a year is insanely cheap.
@Brian Llewellyn at the end of the day they all are about the say give or take $200 for each individual. To this day I do not know what algorithms they use to determine car insurance price. Even the insurance agents do not know since all they do is type in ur info and the computer sends a quote. Two ppl can have Geico and the one with a lambo and a ticket on his record can end up paying less smh
Does Nick have it listed as the primary vehicle?
My 997 is about $550 a year with great coverage. I estimate I’ll drive it about 3k miles this year.
I suspect $800 every six months is more likely
@@glennbarrera8353 I don't think so, I suspect his primary would be the Golf and this is used for leasure, although he did put quite a few miles on it.
I had the squeeking seat issue myself in my 981 Cayman S. You need to spray a bit of WD40 to the seat reclining leaver slot. That should make it go away !
Great VLog...has anyone told you look like the singer out of 'Madness' ?
Wow. What a reference.
250 degrees? Jesus... Anyway amazing video Nick keep it up!
How often do you change your engine oil? Have you only changed it twice since you owned it?
Yes only two times
Those Porsche seat heatings roast you at max level since decades - first time expierenced in a 928S
The 20k mile service on my 991 GT3 cost $1500, got the same quote everywhere
GT3! 2x as much for everything : )
Hi, I bought a 991.2 carerra4 manual today, noticed when the steering wheel is at max angle it has a bit grind or bite feeling to the steering wheel, is it normal? Do you notice the same thing when parking or at tight turns? Really can't find any description on the AWD systems.
