Well Avran, I ended up with the 20/21 Manifest Team at a discount. Took it up already and man, I can tell this thing means business. It's going to be a super fun and hard charging board this season. The one thing I am going to change out are the bindings. I have Union Strata's on there now and they seem a little too soft, not as responsive as I'd like. So I'll try one of your other suggestions. I have a pair of Katana's on a Rossi Sashimi right now, maybe I 'll throw them on the Manifest Team. I am also interested in the Atlas. I know you think that is a stiff binding but I want a stiffer binding for this board.

i am new to snowboarding, and am getting the hang of it. I am looking to invest in a board. I plan to just carve the snow and not really do any insane tricks. just mainly ride the mountain. Would you reccoomend this board to someone like me? Also what are your thoughts on the board so far?

Hi Avran, my daily ride is the Capita Mega Merc, but I would like something to bomb hard and carve with. I was looking at the K2 Alchemist or would a custom BX Board (would be a used Kessler The Cross) be the better option to fit that spot? And whats your opinion on custom carving boards? Softboot of cause, Im not a skiier.

Looking to get a board that’ll float a bit better and support those heavy runouts on the chop and chunder that comes with resort “pow days” 6’1 150 debating manifest team in a 159. I know that’s large but I’ve got experience on 162s and have grown to like a little added stability out of a non park board. Just curious what you may think thanks man

If you have a 57 Alchemist and it's working maybe get the same size in the MT, then again I have no clue what size to recommend you because there's no stats for me to go with.

I own a pair of Now Drive bindings that I am planning to mount on this board. I saw you recommend the Select Pro instead. Will the Drive bindings match well or are they too stiff for the board? I don't really care about park performance, I just want to shred off-piste, steeps and trees.
How did that work for you? Drives on the manifest team has been my set up the past two seasons and I have become so comfortable shredding literally everything. Love the combo.

Avran I'm currently riding a 154 superpig and love it and I'm looking for something that rides similar to the superpig but not volume shifted. I'm 220lb intermediate/advanced RadDad and like to charge and hit side hits and rollers, not much for park. I'm looking at the Manifest team in 160W and the Ride Algorythm or possibly mercury. Which one of these boards would have similar riding characteristics to the superpig and is there anything else I should be looking at with camber? My only complaint with superpig is it gets a little "busy" when going fast on uneven terrain and you really feel it in the knees when on really hard packed choppy snow that is the norm in the midwest. I kind of figured the extra length would help smooth things out a bit. I also came across the Slash brainstorm but can't find much info on them, any thoughts on that board?

If you're looking for visible edge tech it doesn't have it. What it does have is a multi radius sidecut that grips exceptionally well if it's maintained.
Freeride ripper/carving with freestyle flare sounds ideal for what I want in my Quiver next. This or Jones Aviator 2.0? The K2 Alchemist looks dope too...just more directional and stiff than Manifest Team? More freeride less freestyle?
I'm looking for a freeride board with a little freestyle in it and have been looking into the ejack knife, how do these boards compare? The sound pretty similar.
I have rode the E-Jack for a couple seasons now in the 157 and love it. It is a great board for a freeride board that can also do freestyle pretty well. You don't feel the taper that much when landing switch and riding out but it also doesn't have much early rise. I love carving on this board and it has a lot of pop. The E-Jack is a little wider in the 159 than the K2.

Haha man I wish he’d have answered this one, in the same dilemma. Seems like PYL is stiffer, tapered (more float) and has better side cut tech. MT will ride switch better, more flex and some ability to play / butter, but trades off a little in the powder and charging department.

Manifest Team, Nitro Team Pro, Mega mercury- thoughts? Team pro looks to have a leg up in the park, while the Manifest Team and Mega merc look better for the odd fresh snow... Would love to pull the trigger on that Team Pro but it's hard to without any substantive review or feedback anywhere.

Custom BX board is 2 stiff skis stuck together. Keep riding the mega merc
That nerds tend to buy them. Alchemist is a good option but have you checked out the Amplid Pentaquark or Nitro Highlander?

It's less directional, pop engages different, and on edge you'll see how it carves differently.

Excavator is your pow carver, Niseko Pleasures is your small guy groomer carver, MT is your do everything freeride oriented board.

It'll give you more power into the edge. If you're riding heavier pow or play on ripping firm corduroy between pow pockets nothing wrong with them.

Hi Avran, you probably didn’t ride it for a while but how do you compare the Manifest Team to the Joy Driver ?
Alchemist is closer to the Joy Driver than the Manifest Team. Overall the MT is softer flex, different camber profile and sidecut.
In what order would you rank the Jones Flagship, Capita Mega Merc, Yes Standard and K2 Manifest Team for their overall performance?

Never been a fan of Slash, always too stiff. Have you looked at the Salomon Super 8?

Not sure they are comparable, but i really have to ask at this point: 3 main differences between Rome National and K2 MT?
Camber, rebound in the tips (rods in the Rome), and sidecut.

Aviator 2.0 is closer to the Alchemist than this. Ultra Flagship would be closer to this. Alchemist is more aggressive across the board.

Ejack is more damp, has a different feel on edge due to the magnetraction, it's about the same flex.

Those 10.5's aren't going to work with the 53 which is the size you should be one.
