Hey there, I am from the east coast. Mid atlantic to be exact. We get a mixture all the time, so it could be slushy one day or the day after its a sheet of ice bc of refreeze, or snowmaking type of snow all the time if it is "good". "Great" is when we get a real snowstorm, which is more rare these days.
I need a board that would handle the ice first and foremost. I already have a jones mind expander which homestly does awesome in spring skiing slush as much as it does in pow. Bought last yr for vail, was worth the purchase to have a board that 'surfs' in those conditions. As far as ice/hard pack board goes Ive been using an 08 K2 weapon which has been solid but I want to upgrade. The best I can think of is the jones ultra flagship, but this is pricey. I have seen a few k2 boards (manifest, instrument) and lib tech t. Rice orca, others have recommended a warpig. What is your fav for ice/hardpack handling/carving? I also hear never summer has a few good ones for this use case but idk which ones.
Never Summers are shit, you don't need an Orca, you have a ME so the Instrument seems kind of redundant at this point, this would fill the void you seek but if you want visual edge tech might be time to look at something else.
Just picked one of these up to replace my Mega Merc from a few seasons back. I want something super snappy edge to edge that can hold up to the ice/sand/made made snow the NE is so well known for. Here is to hoping I didn't pick a dud!
Sooo how did it turn out?
@@nat7829 definitely a fun board. Had I ridden it before purchasing I likely would've gone with the Antidote.
I just picked up this board. for bindings would the K2 formula, K2 lien at or the Ride C-8 be the better choice?
Take your pick.
Had the 2019 version of it.... sounds like the older one was more fun that what it is now.
It might be the view from the video but is the camber quite shallow? It looks almost flat?
It's not super aggressive that's for sure.
Can we get a capita super dao comparison with the capita mega merc
Have you ever gotten a comparison video in the past? What's that, I haven't. There's your answer.
Hey unrelated question but I was just wondering what your goggle recommendations would be having trouble deciding on a pair this year
Any mainstream goggle that actually puts money into R and D. Personally I'm a Dragon and Oakley fan.
@@AngrySnowboarder ya I was trying to decided between the spy marauder and the dragon pxv2
Fit is going to be the biggest issue.
@@AngrySnowboarder I have a giro helmet with a medium face
More towards the smaller side of medium
I like the idea of this board. Long nose twin with some directional features and carbon. Does it really leave you wanting more out of it ? Looking for a long nose twin this year
Thanks for the reviews!
Yes it does!
The K2 lineup is definitely odd. Could not agree more. Is there anything in it that would be the equivalent to say an Outsiders? Park destroyer that also rips?
Passport but that’s less twinish so maybe a broadcast
@@AngrySnowboarder interesting, thanks. Was curious.
Nice little bro peeps methed out lost sheep. Real nice bro 😎
Weird it’s so different than the Manifest Team you liked last year as it seems to have the same construction but slightly softer…
Different construction is the difference.
Manifest Team uses a different core (Bambooyah)
@@HunterHughes10 2021 Bambooya Pro Core and 2022 A1 Core look exactly the same.
@@chocorider remember him saying the flex is diff between that and the “Pro”
@@chocorider remember him saying the flex is diff between that and the “Pro” which was the core they used on the Team and Alchemist
Curious on this - According to the K2 site the ‘23 Alchemist now uses what they call the “S1”. Assuming that is the comparable core for the Team
But the snowboard expert at CURATED loves this thing.
You mean the 5 star rated expert that's worked there for one day?
@@AngrySnowboarder 🤣
Review the donek knapton twin?
No, review of the K2 Manifest team. Title should have been obvious.
@@AngrySnowboarder I nose. Sorry. Qaplah
No lie, after this video there was a Donek snowboard ad 🤣
@@jaybartlett2561 😂 The truth is out there.
I love that Donek pays to run ads on my videos and all I do is tell people how shitty they are. Fuck that brand and it's stupid owner and shop manager. Ride real snowboards that support snowboarding, not something wide enough to be your front door.
You sound like you're getting a bit bored of these reviews, you sure rip through a lot of them.
I filmed this 7 months ago.
