Younger me would be devastated that we don’t work with horses anymore and that I work a corporate job behind a desk all day. I want to find my way back to that old passion for her, it was our escape from a tumultuous home life. On a positive note, younger me would be so relieved that I married a kind man who is slow to anger and never raises his voice at me nor gets in drunken rages like my father. She would be so happy to have her own safe, quiet home to go home to where she never has to anxiously wonder if she’ll walk into loud/angry energy. I want continue to do right by her and live my life the way she couldn’t as a child. Thank you so much for this talk 🤍

I grew up in a small town in Russia watching these cool movies about surfers and people who travel the world like in the movie the wild or eat pray love. So I have always wanted to live the way they did. And i never ended up doing those things. I dreamt of goin to the us , later i have found your channel i got to acknowledge cities like Toronto and Vancouver …so yeah I am 32 rn, broke, no home, no job. I hope in a year I will comment on this coffee talk again and reflect on the journey ive taken. Thank you Kalyn for being such an inspiration through these years. ❤

Hi Kalyn ! I rarely comment although I'm a long time viewer from France, but I found it quite interesting to sit on my thoughts about what my younger self would think of me. I was always a really anxious child and I never quite pictured my life forward : I found it so hard and challenging ! Everything seemed so complicated : driving, where to live, what job to do and most of all, finding love : boys terrified me ! I think younger me would be quite shocked and amazed that at 29 y.o I managed to do it all : driving soooo many hours and finding it tastes like freedom, living in multiple cities before deciding home was home, studying without still really knowing what to do in life only to realize after starting my job that I wanted to change and become a teacher and finally meeting without really expecting it, the one who shares my life and realizing someone could love me. What a journey it's been !! Little me would be so proud I battled anxiety and depression to find light and peace at the end of the tunnel.

I have accomplished every thing younger me wanted up to this point but I’ve also lost all of those things. But it’s been good because I believe it was the universe showing me that without or without those external accomplishments, having a secure connection and love for myself is what is important and those things aren’t what make me whole! So younger me feels proud and free:)

Wow Kalyn what an interesting way to reflect on life!
It’s like taking on a big sister mentality. I’m not just living for my current self but also striving towards an example that would make my younger self proud. Being that big sister that I always wanted
Reflecting on that really does make me acknowledge how far I’ve come. It makes me proud of all the experiences I have had, but also helps me face some hard truths in areas I feel lost. Thank you for this coffee talk Kalyn! I really appreciate it!

Lately I have been coming to terms with feeling like a failure. I am 20 years old, and in the two years after I finished high school, I had a really hard time and suffered from depression and anxiety. A year ago, I met my current boyfriend and had the courage to leave the university I had started right after I finished school because I didn't like what I was doing and it reminded me too much of the dark period of depression.
For months I have been preparing for the entrance test at another university, but despite my efforts I make too low scores. In addition to feeling sad about dropping out of uni, I feel like a failure because even by not trying hard I can't get into the faculty I truly wanted.
Thanks to this video, however, I still remembered how far I have come. I overcame depression, I overcame traumatic moments on my own, I got my driver's license despite being afraid, I started a relationship despite the fear of being hurt, I have good friendships, I have a good relationship with my parents again, I am fit again, and most importantly, I still have time to do everything I want to do.

Thank you so much for this episode! I only started to do inner child work in the past few months and being able to tell her she will figure things out, still be able to dream, and so more than she imagined, is so meaningful. We took lots of detour and made mistakes, but being in alignment again helps a lot. I appreciate how you talk about how we shouldn’t attach shame to mistakes we made that led us not to live our values.

Could you make a writing promt from these meditions or recommendations you are making. It would be great if we can have access to a PDF with this list. It could also be a perk of being part of the membership you have. You get all these great idea's from books you read and the knowledge you gain from them. It would help me to have something to print and look at while I pratice these types of promts from you. Much appreciation.

My younger self was confuse on family, school and the way people treat me due to my autism. Having narcissistic parents who are either narcissistic themselves or enabler condition me not to understand my surroundings and always have to be people pleasing and agree with parents because they are always right and I have no say when I was young and my sister get away with it. I remember coming home from school always confuse on doing my homework and took me long time to get it done and it takes my sister 10 minutes to get it done. Although I end up in special education and my 1 in a half younger sister is not in special education.

What about things I did, that are not aligned to my values, but because I had to choose to let some of them go in order to survive or allow other things into my life? basically i feel young me would be horrified at some of my choices because she was extremely idealistic, but life taught me that sometimes i have to "settle" for less or let go of some things that are important to me..little me wouldn't understand because she hadn't gone through the whole process i went through
